And the oscar goes to.... RPG Shooter:Starwish for the best flash game, best original storyline and the most underrated game by players who don't know what a true game is.

I don't usually comment on games on kong.. but this game is really well made. The story is great. Well beyond what one normally hopes for in a flash game. Or most games nowadays, even.

Wow. Just...wow. Please tell me you write books. This is the best game in the world...I got completely swept up in the story.
Wow...

This game.. is awesome. Thank you! Only one thing I can think of to make this better. FULLSCREEN! I have a 27" LCD monitor and would really love to make full use of it!

Regarding the story: It's poor form to have a retconning moment ("Remember that garbled transmission we received?") that could easily be included in the beginning of the story. In this case especially, such information would add to the sense of confusion and panic that happens early on, and the player will *almost* forget about it by the time it's brought back up, creating the sense that the narrative is carefully constructed. As it is, though, it feels slapped together in that moment.

Wonderful!
When I started playing this game, I was little bit confused with lot of text, but then I slowly get into story. I love, felt almost like living on a spaceship with all these heroes.
Great dialogues (especially Deadeye and Mare), some action, original final bosses (rocket snail... lol), storytelling, references to books (Catch XXII), that all makes the game great.
However, I have to point out that the action part is actually the weak point of the game.
- Controls are not very accurate.
- Confusing foreground / background. Few times ran into obstacles.
- Not much variability in fight locations.
Why I had to fight countless waves of enemies instead of challenges from story? Dodging Mare's bullets, mastering art of crash landing, searching for fragment in sea or other locations, etc.
And what about possibility to make more decisions than just "who chat in bar"?
But still, great game. I hope to see sequel.. and all alternate endings someday...

I've never seen a game that had so much effort and time put into it as this one. Starwish is the gem of a flash game that shows the limitless boundaries one can make to create such a work of art; profound storyline, great soundtrack, exciting gameplay as well as longevity(must have spent 4 hours on this one game). You possibly have made the best flash game that is on the market. You definitely have a great talent in game development and should never stop. I'm not all for you making a sequel, but if you feel that it would benefit others more, than go for it! Fantastic work all around.

I usually skip all dialogues on flash games but this time was differente. Awesome atmosphere and gameplay. Awesome work.

Personally, I enjoyed everything in this game, except for certain aspects of the gameplay itself. To be a bullet hell'ish type game, it lacks a lot when it comes to your ability to dodge bullets, as the hitbox is too large for the tiny screen. I would also like to see a better variation in bosses, as they quickly become repetetive, and their patterns become easy to read. Other than that, the best game I have played in a while, good job!

I skipped a level before fighting the Earthwall, and can't go back to it. I'd like to be able to reply earlier levels. I also beat Earthwall after the badges were added and didn't get the achievement.

This game is pretty fun. The gameplay isn't very interesting, just a regular *hold attack button* game with many factors I don't seem to care about.. BUT, the storyline was quite impressive, it was like a mini-graphic novel that you can play, which impressed me. 5/5

In answer to your question jaceevoke, the reason is because he starts out at level 1, and getting to level 5 requires you to gain four levels. At least to me this seems like the most logical reason.

I am not sure what I am missing here, I passed the game once to a ending, but now all I can get is the 'I wish for nothing' end. What is going on here? (bug reported as well, not sure who else is running into this though)

Enjoyed the shooting well enough in the game, but it was the awesome storyline/anime-novel aspect that had me hooked to this game. After a while, I really just wanted to get through with the shooting so I could get to the next part of the story, I would love to see more games that use that!

Best game on Kong as of now. I had 4 stars based on the gameplay but the storyline is so engaging. i wish i could give this six stars

Outstanding.
Amazing story, beginning to end, great characters, fun game-play (although the freaking snail boss was utterly annoying :P) I thoroughly enjoyed this game, and sincerely hope for a sequel.

Wow is this game over rated. The game play, difficulty, graphics ect are average at best. Game play is way more important to me than the story.

One word: AMAZING.... this is one of the best games I ever played, the philosophical part is to my liking. As are the jokes :)

There IS a wish for Ginny, but you have to unlock it. I think the requirements are a certain relationship status with her, + you have to have < a certain amount of deaths. (Around 9 or so I believe).

Just a friendly suggestion from a player who really enjoyed your game -- If you're going to make a level full of mazes like "Absolute Zero," it would be helpful if you could clean up the hitbox of your ship, and its interaction with walls. Sometimes you can fly right through them, and other times walls take on this sort of magnetic property that basically kills you because you can't get away from them.
