It's a lot like those still graphic text/story games from Japan that are popular. LOTS of reading. But with an awesome action element as well. And if you want to go straight to the action, there's a freakin' skip button. Brilliant! Great music, and art. Also reminds me of games like Wing Commander, with the 'cafe', and everything.

Bravo, this was incredible... this is why real game designers for corporations can't make true games with story. Hand crafted hard work has to go into it and be created with heart. I hope you can get the money to make more games, but never enough to become a sellout, what you made here is incredible.

Easily the most compelling story I have ever seen in a flash game, supported by excellent characterization, well-written dialogues and beautiful character artworks. Not a huge fan of the game itself, but still giving it a 5/5 if only for the mass of work writing everything must have been.

Not quite what I thought it would be when I clicked on it. I was pleasantly surprised. One of the better games I have played on Kong, and one of the first RPG's I have really been able to get into in a long time. 5/5

Amazing game, hope you win and hope theres a sequel, its hard to find a game of such immense quality as a flash game, this was extremely fulfilling to play just because of the well thought out story and how everything tied together, best game I've played on Kongregate.

Secret ending that you get from beating is Neferiti I believe, seeing that on the high scores list, the only character ending that is missing is Neferiti (but there is conveniently a ???? entry). Plus her ending selection was at the very bottom.

I find the fighting quiet a let down for such a great game and story line.... If i may give a suggestion... keep the side-scrolling idea, though some more variation in the enemy types and making the area of battle a bit less irritating (for example when you have to choose a path for the whole lvl, forcing you to skip tons of enemies) Other then that is an awesome game, Great artwork,music, story... well just the fighting a twick and you have some masterpiece here :):)

I usually find rpg games rather boring as of late yet this one just blew me away, I love the characters, storytelling and the gameplay. Though I wish it was more of a console game, guess only time will tell.

hmmm... this an odd game to rate. I mean, I do love these kinds of games, but as an internet game? I'm hard pressed for sitting and reading so much when I come to sites like this for quick game play. It is a great game though, good work and congrats. 4/5

Wow "bad" comments aimed at pointing out areas that can be improved get derated. "Good" comments that serve no purpose at all get high marks. Eitherway forgot to include that you should add a dialogue tree in the CAFE if possible.

Although the gameplay is kind of boring, the story looks welly developed, and it is indeed what most flash games lack.
BTW, can we just skip that shooting part and just focus on the story/ dating part after the first game? I've already fought the same array on enemies 3 times during 1 game, and I'm not really willing to fight the same enemies again again and again (exactly 3 times, for your information) just to try out different paths, if there is any.
An option of skipping fights will do.

Hey guys since everyone is talking about how awesome this game is and i want to do that too, i would like to talk about the bad part instead. The main problems i see are the blocks when attempting to cross and area, when i get too concentrated on the enemy shots, it tends to block me. On some cases, when i get stuck by a tall one and my ship is automatically moving forward, i get damaged alot. Maybe you can cap how much damage can be dealt over how long. There too should be a previous button incase one accidentally clicked too fast and wants to read the dialouges behind. Well if i wanna talk realistically, there is too much glass, it is not logical to how so much glass as glass are brittle. Final note, you can have a INFO button which tells most stuff like history and ships more detailedly for people like me. Good game to say the least.

After beating the game the first time, click continue. You'll have to fight the final boss again, but you can see all the endings easily. Thumbs up so people can see this.

Is there a way to watch all the final scenes? I only had the chance to restore Dedai's eyesight, but I'd really like to see the other possible endings without going through the trouble of finishing the game again...

I've never felt the need to comment on a game before this post. Hands down, I can say this is one of the most unbelievable games I've yet come across. The dialogue, the great replay values, the game play, every aspect of this is above and beyond incredible. Would love to see another game like this in the future.

Toppings, use your thumb to press down the space bar then your other fingers to use Overdrive and change weapons. Not as awkward to change weapons/overdrive when you use your thumb to fire.

I want to know all endings, but I don't have the time to continously play throughout the whole game over and over again. Has anyone listed them somewhere? Great game overall, even if sometimes I just felt like wanting to play final fantasy instead. :P

Since I am using WASD to play, using overdrive is extremely awkward, what with both the keys that do it being on the opposite end of the keyboard. That's my only complaint though.

But you my friend have made a living, breathing & beautiful game, kudos.

I really like this game and it has an awsome storyline but it could be better with some voice acting, it takes a long time to read through the entire thing and by the end my eyes seriously hurt from reading so much but 5/5 anyway.

SAVE? F*CK SAVE! I finished this in one sitting. Sure it took all day, and halfway through the night, but damn. I know when the badges come out, and I hope they do, I'd be doing the same mambo. And I'd be as happy as the first time. *hits new game plus*

After 2 minutes I'm only at 2/5 of the pre-loader. It's a good thing that I know that 5 bajillion other ppl already like this game, otherwise I'd give up.
