also, why is every one like "HERMARGET BEST STURY EVAR!" the story sucks, unoriginal, conversations are boring, and the music is probably the worse.

This is a fantastic game. I came to get the badge of the day and I was very surprised at how fun a space shooter was. The gameplay isn't extraordinary, but the story is brilliant. It's vibrant with plenty of strong, fleshed out characters who are interesting. Traveling through the story tells you all about these characters and you learn very surprising things about each and every one of them. The artwork is great and there aren't any visuals I don't like. Oh, and the female characters are great and don't have ridiculously sexual appearances, which is something of a rarity in anime/manga styles.

When Deuce was handed the small box as part of his birthday presents, I thought it was going to be the stuffed snail he gave to Ginny when she came on board. I just about cried at the possibility. Very well written and was a joy, though sometimes frustrating (Ice Dragon 3 and Monolith 3 Stages in particular) to play. 5/5.

Weirdest part of this game is how levelling up makes you worse in every way - all of your abilities drop and you need to raise your stats to return to your former ability line, and as you gain more weapons, it becomes harder and harder to find the upgrades you want in the shop.

Never find this game likeable due to 1 particular achievement that completely based on luck (especially on hard mode). The resets ruin completionist's experience, IMO, though once you past that the game is a breeze.

I completely regret starting this game in Private Browsing. I think I'll boot it up when I get home, and play through it more there.
I do have one question though; I keep upgrading my luck to increase "item%", which I'm assuming is what those orbs are. However, I get it to 10% (from 9%) in a level, but when I come back to my stats after completing another level, it's back at 9%. Do our % stats go down as we level up, or is that a bug?

Definitely a sequel, xdamond. I'm really impressed with the story line and game play. Great job. Must have taken some time to complete! The English is great as well. Props. 5/5 :D Addicting as ever. Even the music is nice. Thanks for making a good game and uploading it to Kong. If only more games were this good there wouldn't be so many shitty games. :P

Games with story like this are called visual novels. There are a number of them out there, with most of them being catalogued on www.vndb.org, including Starwish. Might want to check it out if you want more story-laden games.

Thank you, BoTD for leading me to this masterpiece, a game with story, good systems, fitting music, great scripting, and overall unity. 5/5

The great story-line and well-written characters would work well as an rpg type game. That might be something to consider.

like US history how? The pirates wanted to avoid conflict and bloodshed and opted to go with a peaceful resistance. America chose to go to war. Again where is the correlation to it being the same?

I realized now, after defeating the Earthwall and listening to the conversation between Gen and Captain Oracle, that this story is similar to the story of how the United States was formed. A small group of people, the pirates in this case, the group of British men and woman in the case of the U.S., wanted freedom from the government. They banded together to achieve this goal, and they then proceeded to follow their goal in the hopes of achieving it. When the British became tyranical over the U.S. colonies, they fought back. So I think that the underlying story, i.e. the theme, follows that of the U.S. and this is quite interesting to me, as I study U.S. history viciously at my school.

It wasn't a bad shooter but what I really liked about this was the story it was engaging and beautiful. I've not enjoyed a story like this for a long time, I'm very impressed.

Wow, I felt things again. Been a while. Good game man, I was just going to earn a badge and say screw it. I beat the whole game, that was a hell of a story too.
