This game is pretty good, except there is ALOT of glitches. I was inside a wall once and instantly died. I beat the submarine boss, and I died like 5 seconds after he was dead, and it said mission failed.

You know the reason why this game doesn't have 5.00 rating? Those stupid badge hunters who just skip every dialog and give a lousy rating.

Finally did the Time Paradox Achievement on my first try on hard mode:D
Repeated over 20 times. Tip for those who also want to try this out, try starting by move to the top and keep trying to stay at the top. The targeting lasers from the ship will not be able to target you. Inch bit by bit. And if you fail, Try again!
Now i'm so afraid to die, don't want to do the last achievement in Plus mode...

games like this contribute to the worlds childhood obesity, it sucks kids in and they play for hours on end - good job its an amazing game

An honest review. Firstly, where's the RPG aspect? A narrative and upgrading your ship doesn't make a game an RPG. Just call an arcade shooter, because that's what it is. Secondly, you've extended the game through phases of the same thing with the same bosses and same structure just to compliment the narrative. That's a bad thing, at least with a game like Planescape Torment, a heavily narrative based RPG, there was progression and uniqueness. Apart from that, cool game. Artwork is awesome, quite outstanding with a hint of retro. I can't be bothered to follow the narrative but I'm sure it's great. Good job, just label it right and work on the gameplay. And definitely improve the weapon upgrades.

the special ending should become canon, because its the only ending in which everybody (Ginny included) survives (i think that would be the best starting point for a sequel)

A thing that would really be great: we should be able to see endings we unlocked without beating Iblis again. Think I beat him more than 20 times to watch some endings again.

This is that one game that even though there is nothing else to do in that game,or no more badges to get,or no updates...YOU STILL KEEP CHECKING BACK!!!Like you're addicted!!!!

To Ace Blue
Overdrive makes you invulnerable for short time. Versus bosses (particularly final one whre you will use it 3-6 times) it is invaluable.

I know this is the third time me posting here, finally figured out the donation stuff.
I just found a pic of Ginny on your site, is there a way to get that in Wallpaper-Size?
I'm literally thinking about printing it out and putting it on my wall.
Man, that really went on my stomach.

I wish everyone in this world have Ginny's heart. Love make everyone happy, love teach us to share with each other, love can make your live meaningful.... And Ginny's heart is full of LOVE. Did you remember the prologue, you would have died if Ginny don't share her live for you... But why she do that? That's the first time she meet you and you just a stranger for her... It's because she has a big love in her heart..

I...I don't know what to say. I created an account on this website, JUST so I can comment on this game. It's just as OseronPhaer said, a great game gives you the feeling of finishing a book at the end. When it's over, your not sure what to do. You were so into the game, the ending blows you away. I defeated Iblis over and over, just to experience the different endings. All of them, all of them are powerful, emotional, and satisfying, with a great life lesson or pondering at the end. This, this is a great game. The sad thing is, not many people will discover it, since it's only a flash game. There's so much more I have to say... but I cannot begin to put it into words. Simply an amazing, powerful game. Excellent job.

I couldn't figure out why I kept plodding through the game: the plot was uninspired, the battles were repetitive, the dialog dragged. It honestly took me until the end of the game when ***spoiler*** you're asked to make a wish on behalf of someone in the crew... and I actually had to pause and think about who I wanted to help.
Bravo, sir, you actually made me give a damn about these characters :)

Amazing game, only thing I have a problem with is no autosave. This is a must. I had played for about 3 hours straight, and then closed the browser because I had to go somewhere. Thus I opened it again and I'm back where I was 3 hours ago. I don't mind playing all those hours again because this is such a great game, but it is a HUGE inconvenience and others might not be as calm about it as I am.

Amazing game...really good story~ phew just finished it and mein what an experience! :) Great plot...love it :) I can feel amount of work and effort placed in this...a sentimental, yet humoured, and emotional (at times) game~ This is truly a masterpiece :) This reminds me of visual novels from Japan~ Definitely would love a sequel...Maybe bring Ginny back and focus on romance ? hehe that would be great~ I rate this game 10/5!!

All I can say is I agree with everyone else that this game is awesome, there definitely needs to be a sequel. the characters are cool, the battles are awesome, and im sure the endings are too(haven't beaten the game yet :) ) And i agree with Deuce, Ginny is, for a cartoon character, very cute. lol :)

foothis might be my all time favorite online game, it had a great story and i really enjoy side scrolling shooters like this once in a while and i liked the upgrade system, though i had a problem with the level in the final set that had like 10 rocks covering the path that was nearly impossible to get through if you didn't have a really high lvl wave cannon or similar

When you make a second game (as I do believe your public not only demands, but you have already said), then you have a great platform to build off of. You might make multiple story-lines (or simple alterations thereof) for each ending, with the option to pick which one you liked most. Also, you might give us the option to choose what Deuce says, as in most dating Sims, though I have to say this is the least necessary. Fix the glitches, if you would, because while they would not deter me from the game, they can be annoying. A necessity to all sequels is, of course more weapons ^^. Get Dedai working over time. Other than that, I simply must say : Thank you for such an incredible and fun game, and good luck to you in all your game-making endeavors. Keep up the good work, the gamin industry needs more people as capable as you.

The battles were a little tedious at times, though only on hard, and the drones showed a severe lack of organization. Also, the drones seemed to have the annoying ability to move at will through the environment, while most of my weapons couldn't (though you seemed to solve that mostly through the wave weapon). I absolutely LOVED the plot twists and dramatic reveals, and I therefore applaud your skills as an author. [terribly sorry for the three-part comment, but Kong is picky about length. Or maybe I just ramble. Again, sorry]

I must say, first off, that I loved this game. There were very few laws, and those mostly minor. I did have a problem, however, with the landscape at times. I would inexplicably find myself caught and unable to move, or glitch through it. The other main problem I had was a little control problem. At times (seemingly more often versus Iblis) a single, light tap would cause my ship to fly to the opposite end of the screen, thereby hitting more bullets, and more annoyingly the purple laser, than what I had dodged. I don't know if anyone else had a similar problem, but this did great damage to my shields. Other than that, I loved the art direction and music, as well as the special effects. I thought you did a wonderful job with the character portraits, using a just few to express a wide range of things. The writing is some of the best I have ever heard, and even on my third restart, I dared not to miss a word of it.

I dream about Ginny now, (Ummm, creepy o_o)
Her ending just about made me, a grown man, in a MANLY-ASS princess dress, cry the whole night.

Only 1000 characters and i have already written an example of how it is not the guide is not cold numbers but more like feelings, so i think i will put this other post, for example the trajectory of bullets with parallax, makes different speeds in an specific route, hence if you use the own hooming of bullets fired at you and their flat trajectories you can draw the pattern of shootings so is in in many situations you may use irrational movements to alter the patter to make a escape even in the crowdest center so you may tailgun almost all the time, if you add a powerful recharging rate in your shield even if it is weak and a good evade/cloak you can cross many thin walls in absolute zero with no damage, etc.

This game is good but what actually is more rewarding is that the maker of this game seems to make it serious with a part of his personality attached, not that is just a copy but a expression of internal images of profound concern, i find somewhat passionate that even the guide is not a cold number,as it hides things, opines on tactics even many that are bad and the way it was programmed it seems just the way of a franc person. Characters are good enough to like them and then as you discover them you may stop liking them just as in reality (of course not at the same degree), even as their biography is plain and the history is somewhat predictable and simple, and analytical work is quite short. Anyway excellent game to use some time, in fact before today i logged in, about three years ago, so i just logged to really congratulate the maker of this game and wish best to him (you), by the way, thanks for the free music.

The plot was interesting, the characters were captivating (if a bit unoriginal) and the graphics were great. All the RPG elements were all there that I liked, upgradable parts, a wide variety of weapons. However, there was one flaw I found with the actual gameplay: it was boring. It quickly became a chore to do the shooter sections - I just wanted to see what happened next in the story. I'll give the game a 4/5 because the other elements are excellent for a flash game, but if there's a sequel, I hope for more interesting combat, maybe add minigames, anything to change it up a little.

Most games will just say "Congratulations" or "Game Over" when you've beaten them but in this game the end so rewarding and really touches your soul. I was almost crying when I chose mares ending, so beautiful. Best game on Kongregate by far. If only more people would actually play it to the end they would know. Now I wanna know what all the other endings are :)

One of the best games I've played, and I don't mean only Flash games. Enticing story, fun to play, not too hard on your casual gamer on Normal. I couldn't close it until I completed it. Great one!
