The game I fantastic! Here are my suggestions: 1. Option or rearranging stats 2. Option of selling weapons. 3. It is WAAAY too long, great story though. Absolute Zero is maddening. I like all of the tributes to the scifi genera.

Ok, perhaps my previous comment was a little uncalled for. To phrase it in a more diplomatic manner, while the dialogue in this game isn't bad, it just goes on way too long and there's way more of it than actual game play. I only got to play the intro mission before getting crushed under the weight of all the meandering dialogue.

yup, just what everyone else says, my favourite game since the old rpg-days like FFVIII. more of this and I'll call earth heaven ;D

Day 24: Miraculously, I still haven't died once. I'm sitting safely an equal distance from the left and right edges of the screen when I bump into a perfectly vertical wall at the top of the screen. I press the down arrow key, and my ship glitches. It somehow moves UP and outside of the screen area, resulting in me instantly dying. I don't mind if it's possible to get trapped and forced off of the left side of the screen, but I don't think that you should die if you go too far up or down, since I don't think that was intended to happen in the game. However, this is the ONLY problem I really have with this game, so I can forgive it. Still easily one of the best games I've ever played.

I want to speak to everyone, I hate the chat limiter D:
Reminds me of the Summon Night RPG games.
Top notch 5/5 so much replayability in this as well, you don't find many games with that factor.

Played this game thrice. Once on normal to see Ginny's ending, once on hard to save her, and once more to beat it completely.
Spoiler alert
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nighttime arrived, and Ginny sat down beside me. We both stared into the starry night sky. Ginny suddenly started crying. "What's wrong?"
"I have a confession...Back when I ran away from lucerna, I wasn't just being adventurous. Even as a kid, I dreamed of finding true love. And now, here I am, twenty years later...I-I don't want to die! Not when I've finally found you!"
"I know. I wish I could return that life you gave me but... it doesn't work that way does it?"
Ginny only nodded. Neither of us wanted to think about how much time she had left.

This Game ... is ... WONDERFUL. The Story is magnificent, the characters are alive, the conversations are fun. Every time after i spend a few hours playing flash games i feel bad that i "throwed" time out the window but this time, every second of it worth it. I wish you can make a sequel. Respect!

A lot of people have forgotten what makes a game great. Vibrant characters, dialogue that doesn't want to make you cringe from reading it, and of course a sense of freedom. Honestly, the heart of a good game is good writing which this game has in spades. I applaud your efforts sir, well done 5/5.

I've found that a good game gives me a feeling that I've just finished a good book when I beat it. This is one such game. The characters were brilliantly done and complex, each and every one of them. They were individually motivated yet driven to the same goal, and still entirely believable at the same time. My biggest concern came from the cafe conversations. I got used to them, but they sometimes created a bit of a mood whiplash as they were more mellow and sometimes robbed situations of their urgency. But past that, it was a wonderful game and truly a joy to experience.

I'm really enjoying this game. I don't know how I didn't see it sooner! The only little gripe I have is that I wish the keyboard controls were configurable. I find I have to look down to change the secondary weapons and primary since they are two rows apart. Great game.

Nice graphics but the gameplay is rather slow. And I don't understand why it's called "RPG Shooter". It's just a side-scrolling space shooter with upgrades and a story to skip past. None of that is role playing.

Holy sh*t. Probably the best flash game I have ever seen, and on par with many titles in storyline alone. There have been few games that made me tear up after it was over, and this is one of them. xdanond, you are a genius, and while I understand that it is difficult to make a sequel, I don't think this game needs it-maybe more of a companion storyline. However you decide to advance this series, be cognizant of the fact that you have made the greatest flash game I have ever, and possibly will ever, play.

I know it may not seem like a big deal; but i'm amazed that they even put in the effort to have the characters realisticly blinking randomly. These people are truly dedicated!

wow, that must be the best story I played so far on kong. the last wish was really tough. I guess the moral thing to do would be to revive Baboo. But it's a computer game after all, right? heh
the music was wonderful too.

For the longest time while playing, I really did think Mare was a robot... until the end when I was like "Wait, wha?"

omg for once i dont feel ashamed for admiting that i didnt stop to sleep. i sat here and played it to the end. a beautiful story line with an all to forgotten message. i love how u took names and simply changed them a little for a hint (johnny for janni, efreeeti for neferiti, ginny for djinni, etc). at first i thought i had this game in the bag and then THE WISP i swear it killed me the first 10 times lol. the array of weapons is fantastic. the bonuses every so often were interesting to say the least i honestly regret the insurance one though it helped but not for my overly aggressive playstyle XD. there were a few times i was holding back tears and other times i felt inspired. its not everyday u come across a games storyline that tugs u back and forth like that. and to see it here on kongregate as well??? i might as well do a few surveys and pass on some kreds u have by far earned it (im sorry my pocket is empty atm).

Great game! I give it 4.9 out of 5.
While I like the dialogue and story and I am by no means complaining about reading the story, I would only suggest not having almost every level follow the same pattern: shoot some stuff, commander conversation, engineer conversation, optional/girl conversation.
Maybe switch it around a bit or even give a level or two with minimal dialogue to give it a less "A to B to C" kind of feel.
Again, Great game though. Good idea and great execution. One of the more original RPG's I've seen lately.

By far the best game i've ever played on Kong. It has a better story line than some disk-based and console games. Truly amazing

This game is AMAZING. Excellent story, characters, music... I never really enjoyed space shooter games until I ran across this one. Thanks for the beautiful experience.

Heh. Collision with ship. "Miss" (I evaded it). Ship still blows up. Also, wow that's a lot of shield modules with NG+. I just beat Iblis without taking any health damage.

To be honest, to get a game this good you'd usually have to pay for it... And considering how good this is... And it's free...

Terrific story-line, which is really important in a game like this. Loved it thoroughly.
I really like the idea of picking an ending & don't think any should be made canon. You become really drawn in with all the characters, and having to pick one at the end is a really great way of finishing the game - it's tough to pick , as it would be for any person really in that predicament.
Thanks very much for the experience & looking forward to the next thing!

An amazing game, I'll never deny that, but I will admit there are a few faults.
After a while I started playing for the story, which is rare in a FLASH game of all things. However, without wishing to spoil the story, there is a definite point where things drift away from sci-fi and towards fantasy. When this happens, a lot of plot points get haphazardly introduced, and it really weakened the main story. In the end, it was the enjoyable interplay between the beautifully crafted characters.
The gameplay didn't feel completely balanced. I found myself using only one or two weapons, disregarding the rest. In my case, it was the laser, which I disregarded once I got an upgraded wave, which I then forgot about when I got an upgraded chain. The perks felt relatively weak. They are relatively balanced against each other, but individually they didn't really feel powerful.
That being said, this is still an amazing game that I'd recommend to anyone who like a good JRPG and a good shooter.
