Wow! I really loved this game. The length of the game, as well as beautiful story and good gameplay makes this masterpiece the best game I have played for a very long time. It deserves 5/5 easily.

I think I just forgot that I was playing an internet game. Seriously though, great work on the storyline(s), it beats most of the normal rpg's out there. Battles and animations could be better, but whatever, it's addicting anyway. 5/5

I voted and would love to see a sequel. It was the perfect mix. I haven't had a game draw me in like this in years. Excellent in every respect. Great game. I hope you do reconsider and make another game like this or a sequel to this. A prequel even. Awesome job. Thanks

Great game! Something that I think would make it even better; try and synch the relationship of Deuce and the other characters throughout the storyline with the cafe dialogue.
I talked with Mare, I believe it was the first time, when it was near the end of the game and it seemed like Deuce and Mare were like at the beginning of the game, like they hardly talked at all.
The conversations were enlightening and nice, but it seemed like you had two separate "trees" of dialogue, one for the cafe and one for the storyline.

Damn it! I swore I wouldn't get misty eyed, no matter how touching the ending! Failure on my end, but a fantastic game.

For endings : between every mission, visit the Cafe, the Hangar and Lab. Double check every time because having a conversation in Hangar or Lab may unlock someone in the Cafe, so go back. Talk to Johnny every time in cafe and ask Johnny for Tips. After all tips are gone for the stats, new tips will appear to ask Johnny about the girls of the station (if you don't talk to Johnny in the cafe like everyone, he won't propose it). <> Hiding tip from Auriplane (music maker of the game) for Deadeye story : buy all weapons (even the hidden one in World 3)(thanks for the tip man, great game). My result : 1st time normal, talk to everyone every time, all johnny's advice. 5 endings + the basic "No..." one. Good luck. And yes Neferiti is in HM only (appears in Cafe in World 3)

There are some genres that go well together, Cliche Dating Visual Novels and Fast-paced Shooters are not one of these pairs. It might be a very nicely done VN but the endless dialogue scenes really kill any sense of pacing for what I thought was meant to be about shooting spaceships. I'm not exactly engaged in any of these characters because I've seen them a hundred times, and they're delaying the action.
When I see the term 'RPG shooter', I'm thinking a stat-oriented blastathon. Visual Novels are not RPGs, get your terms right.

Very nice game 5/5. I think I missed Mare's ending. Maybe because Mare hard to see in the cafe? Anyway thanks for shareing this.

Twice, I thought this game is over, and the 2nd time I was sure of it! = Storyline is full of surprises (full of "i knew it would happen" moments too, but well, that can be forgettable). Gameplay isn't that repetitive as ppl may say, because there are many weapons which can make the game enjoyable for a long time.

Controls stick, enemies pass through walls you can't shoot through with most weapons... This game's mechanics simply suck. Mediocre interface, graphics, and gameplay amount to... Not this high a rating.

Great Story, cool upgrade system but combat and gameplay gets quite repetitive and even tedious after a while. 3/5. There are much better shmups out there.

I'm no good with words, so I won't try to describe it, but this is probably one of the best games I have ever played... Period.

On the voting for ending thing on start screen after getting severall endings, i want to chose "nothing" as the ending, as it was the most beautiful one... But i can't so i chose Johhny's instead...

One of the best games on Kongregate. The story was just amazing. I would grealty enjoy a sequel, although I don't expect it soon after reading this took you over a year. Perhaps some company will see this game and allow you to make it into a fully published game!
As for the vote, I voted for Mare but I feel bad for Tessa... Where as I like Mare's ending a lot more, I think story wise, Tessa's is by far the one that makes most sense. (Again, this shows how well the story is, the fact that I feel bad for one of the characters!)

Incredible game- like the love child of Final Fantasy and Gradius. 5/5.
For those asking about endings (as best I can determine after 4 completions):
- All character endings require that you complete all of their Cafe interludes. Since there's a delay between when these refresh, make sure that you talk to the characters whose endings you're after each time they come up. Some have other requirements:
- Neferiti's ending: beat the game on Hard difficulty.
- Ginny's ending: don't die while she's with the crew.
- Deadeye's ending: upgrade all the weapons in the game.
- Johnny's ending: Johnny is a special case. His Cafe interludes require that you have large amounts of money on you, before they even become available. Keep a lot of cash on hand, if you want this ending.
Not sure about the others. So far I've only seen Mare come up after beating a New Game Plus, and I keep getting Swig and Tessa's endings regardless of what I do.

This game really does combine all of the genres in its description (although there's a lack of choices; only the ending, and that small quiz in the beginning that I'm guessing doesn't affect anything). Speaking of the ending, it was heartwarming, but I only got three; Deadeye, Tessa, and Swig's endings. While I might go in hard mode later on, the other endings I'm not sure on what to do to get them, like Ginny's. More specifically, sometimes I can talk to them, sometimes I can't, and other than Johnny's prerequisites (lots of moolah?) it all seems random to me.

This game is superb! The story is very well composed, gameplay is great, perfectly accurate hitbox, Crit and Graze ratios, evade, miss, very complex system afterall, beautiful musics and awesome drawings and graphics. Also characters are unique and each of them is their own personality that you remember well. Afterall excellent game!

this game is very highly overrated.the gameplay is repetitive n boring. the story is great, makes u curious about what'll happen, but thats all thats good about this game.2/5

I love this game. except that flash crashed after I was in newgame+ to get the 3 endings I didn't on the first go, and it lost my save data (/wrists)... I found the gameplay enjoyable, but there was a major flaw I feel I need to mention, and that is collision detection. Sometimes you could clip inside a wall and die slowly, unable to get out, you can fly through the big red beams and often times not get hit, really thin walls can often be flown through.
I find that one issue makes the game feel quite unpolished. However, because I enjoyed the game a lot more than many games I would give many stars too, I'm not rating it down for that. 5/5

I am giving this a 5/5, although are a few things that need mentioned. Overall, the game was really good and well executed; no complaints in game play from me. There were some times where the near photo-realistic backgrounds made it hard to play though. Personally, I'm not into the melodrama of popular anime (although I did read about half of it), but to each his own (thank God for the skip button). The idea of destroying a star to change gravitational fields to move something else was taken from the movie Star Trek: Generations (google "star trek ribbon"). And Iblis sounds a lot like the Warhammer chaos god Slaanesh (google "slaanesh"). And I still think if/when the game gets badges, one should be called the "Dropping a Deuce" badge. Overall, kudos to the makers of this game!

Unfortunately a few issues prevent me from giving this game 5/5. I'll start with the random ship explosion and missions failure, and continue with the health/weapon details at the bottom of the screen blocking view of missiles from there. And for a boss to be able to shoot and damage you before you can hit them is also a tad annoying. 4/5.
