long dialogue isn't bad,it's actually good,it explains it a lot, it's very interesting too, yuo should read it,it may take long but I have a lot of patients to,if you ever make another game (xdanond) let there be less dialogue, but write it the way you wrote it on this.

In my opinion, a great storyline will make up for many other aspects missing from a game. But this game doesn't have much missing. One of the best games I have ever played on Kongregate. Keep up the good work.

This game has a brilliant storyline and it's unlike any other game on kong. At this rate online games might start competing with Playstation Nintendo and Xbox. I hope I will live to see that day.

I feel sorry that you wasted so much time writing all of that dialogue. I skipped through it all. I come to Kongregate to play games, not read novels. 1/5.

@Kowrinn, Yes, on the hard mode you will be able to talk with Neferiti and got her ending. And if you have full relationship with all characters you can get the special ending by choose "no wish" option at the end of the game. Because you can only talk to Neferiti on hard mode the special ending can only be earned by playing on hard mode

supreis, your probably limiting how much Kongregate can store on your computer.
right click on the game screen, click settings, and then drag the arrow so it says unlimited.
I got annoyed by that as well, until I did that, hopefully it should work for you too. ^_^

This game is about good life, and honourable death, about chasing your dreams no matter of obstacles on your way, speaks of what is really worthy in life. The shooting game is only a part, to make this game. This really could be a very good movie or book, or a feeling of person who lost something very important....

the graphics arent the best but the gameplay and the rpg element, sim dateing, story, and characters make up for it in a BIG way :D

You can see achievements by clicking the djinni lamp in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
Plus this so more people can see!

A beautiful work that should be held in high regard. The story develops nicely, but reached massive world-saving proportions a bit too fast in my opinion. Still, I felt strongly about the characters as they were lively and had a meaning other than offering a face for the different shops. The battles were nice, and often I found that by thinking and adjusting my mods was the key to victory. Still, I had a few close calls that made me cheer (and break one chair...) jubilantly when I pulled it off. This is most likely a game that will remain on my favourites. Kudos for pandaren-reference.

On your second and subsequent playthroughs, your deeper understanding of the characters gained allows you to discover "hidden messages" among portions of the dialogue. This makes the story experience richer and more rewarding. Not many games can make you feel the same way when you play them all over again - it draws you in like no other.

Instead of making the sequel directly, I suggest you to REMAKE the game.
Why be epic when you can be an unbreakable legend?
Here are some criticisms that most people addressed:
1. Cutscene CGs !!! Now you only have CGs in the end game, which all of them are epic, but you will need more. Like you should put Ginny at work when she made her first mod to Deuce, or during Day 18~19, before she confront Nefretiti, and pretend to be normal when Deuce saw her. A CG of djinni bottle is a must. Oracle and Captain Gen in a red light room enjoying their last cup of tea, Deuce confronting Nef in space, where she blocks all attack, etc. Character specific CG is also needed.
2. The shooting game itself can be improved - this is artwork and I am sure you can excel.

This is, by far, the best written game I have ever played or ever will play. The ending made me cry 5 times over the course of it. I'll always remember the lesson it taught me... Anyone who disagrees that games are an art form after playing this is insane. Thank you for making this game.

Part 2:
2) The story started out strong. But by the time it veered into the Djinn/Efreet chapter, I was so bewildered and muddled by the almost inane details about blatantly obvious science fiction. Not since Star Ocean Til the End of Time's ending have I ever stated to the computer: Huh? It was almost as though you wrote yourself into a proverbial corner and we - the players -are forced to bare witness to you flounder about with plot. There are only so many life preservers we can throw you by jabbing the skip dialogue button whenever Nefretiti appears on screen... (Which is exactly what happened)

Part 1:
I don't comment often on games, but I felt that I needed to.
As many people have already posted, the game feels like one of the RPG's of old. An epic tale that draws you in and at the same time allows you to make your own choices regarding character advancement (and in a limited sense character interactions)
That being said however, there were a few flaws that were... glaringly obvious the further in you were: 1) The clipping for one just seemed like something that could have been addressed better. Many MANY times I found myself brushing against a 'wall' and getting insta gibbed by 'phasing' into it. Better than getting stuck, but at the same time disheartening when you have full health and shields and its suddenly a mission failure. (1k Character Limit)-->

-part 2-
I hope you will move in this direction in future: joined forces with Auriplane in terms of working with music and a few good programmers who can give the game a decent engine and will be able together to set up your own small game development studio. Or join an existing one, where you can concentrate on the job with the plot and characters.
And to help make the first move in this direction in addition to my words and 5/5 rating, I add a donation for $ 20 (the typical cost of licensing a commercial game in my country) for you and Auriplane (split by 50/50). I hope people who liked the game as much as I follow my example (any sum).
Thank you for your excellent work and wish you success in future work.

I registered on kongregate specifically just for this game (started playing on the other site) and write this comment without knowing enough English (not native, so I apologize for any inaccuracies) to the accompaniment of music from the game.
What can I say?
It is a 100% best flash/web game I ever played! One of the best games in general (including up to ~100 "big"/commercial games I have tried / played in my life).
Especially i like it for story line and bright vibrant characters (something that many modern high budget games lacks). Also perfect match of excellent music.
Shooting part not bad, but just an ordinary for such sort of games.
If we replace the combat engine for something more contemporary with normal graphic(may be even not shooter/scroller, but space sim, like Wing Commander) it could turn out a great commercial(PC/console) game.

I can't belive one of my favorite games is a browser game! Many, just as i do, looks for a good story and this one is a masterpieace of legendary godlike art! Take a look at Notch (Minecraft) and try earning some money too! I'd pay for it twice! Maybe if you ask for donations...

This game is truely amazing. to me a 5/5 is closer to perfection then I thought possible when the game loads. I NEVER give a 5/5, until now.

I'm not going to lie, Tessa and swigs endings made me tear up a bit. This game is beautifully made and is just a straight up masterpiece. It has everything i want in a good game. If something like this was made for a mainstream console it would be a huge success. I would definitely buy this game on the Xbox Live Arcade for 10-15 dollars. Keep up the amazing work, I think i can speak for everybody when i say We would love to see more games like this made.
