What really makes game an art besides storyline (which is really epic in here) and gameplay? The fact that it can provoke feelings in the players (excluding pleasure when you blow someone's head off and frustration when someone blows your head off). This game can do it, making it a rare jewel. Actually I can think about Braid as the only other game that can do it, but this is better. We need games like these to remind us that gaming is not all about ultra graphics and exaggerated violence. Great job there, Xdanond! I sincerely hope for a sequel!

Alright, after playing this game through enough to see every ending on Newgrounds, then taking the time to find this site and make an account to comment, I have but this one thing to say. . . This is by far one of the greater games out there on the web. I'm a general nobody, but you get a thumbs-up from me on everything.

Obviously, this game has a great plot. I would give it a 5/5 just for that quality, but unfortunately, I find that this game is somewhat lacking in other areas. The graphics for the battles/cutscenes are a bit poorly done, as is the stat/equip/mod system and overall gameplay. I feel like there was too much attempted complexity crammed into the gameplay mechanics, without much explanation or reason behind some things. (For instance, why separate equips/mods or have mods that fulfill the same purpose as stats?) Also, the dialogues are sometimes a bit random, especially with the cafe. The game as a whole is good, but it just needs some refining. I'd want a sequel just to see what this might develop into. :)

This game was truly amazing. The ending sadden me a little cause when I realize that the differnt girls really liked him, yet in the end it can only be one he ends with, and it sad seeing there ending thinking what could be.

Okay yeah I still haven't gotten a badge for beating the game.. But still Great game Fun to play Amazing story line great graphics. But Insanely Glitchy and takes forever to get badges or you don't get them at all. So 3/5.

hey nevermind bout all the comments that i said before i was getting annoyed by the game cuz it kept deleting my saves. but i figured out how to not make it delete my saves so i am happy now and this is the best game i have played sincei started playing on kongregate. great job on this hope for a sequal. :DDD

Here are some ideas.
1)Atomiser,huge damage,high range,attacks 1 enemy then jumps around doing less and less damage
2)Incinerator,low damage,low range,can fire much longer than other overdrives and does damage over time to enemies.

can you please put overdrive upgrades? or different super weapons for overdrive? my normal weapon damage is doing alot more than the overdrive. and a huge purple beam is getting boring anyway

I would like to explain how good this game is, but i'm sure it wont fit in here. Anyways, I think we should annoy the hell out of Iblis and desire for a sequel, or at least another game like this.

For people talking about the gameplay being boring, I agree'd with you on my first playthrough, on normal. However, when I bumped it up to hard, and had to not die in order to get the endings I wanted (and the achievement), it became much more interesting and exciting. My weapons/mods actually made a difference, and I had to use proper strategies for the bosses. Each boss was very different also. It definitely became much better (imo at least) with the difficulty up. The story was of course awesome, as everyone else said.

at first, when I saw this game, I thought, "oh jeez, another anime game." but when I started playing it, I realized this was one of the best game I have ever played. There is so much to say, I could never fit it in. So symbolic, so fun, so detailed, easily one of the best games I have ever played.

I saw the special ending before the Ginny ending, and thus the last one kinda feels more official to me, sadly.
I don't know, it's not only terribly sad, it kinda made me depressive for a day, it's also a lot more emotional.
The problem with the "Super Happy ending" is that it's a cop out, like an achievement "you unlocked everything", it lacks the strong narrative of the other endings.
Maybe it just lacks those nice close up pictures. The one from Ginny's ending is just stuck in my head now. Damn.
Please make a sequel. I'll wait for it.

But if you never planned to, and don't know how to continue, thats fine, too. Take no risks.

I do not like anime-style (maybe even "hate"). Gameplay (scroll-shooter) bored me pretty quickly (in second big lovation). The characters sometimes behave too stupid in my opinion. The system of "relations" is not very clear (for example I chose Deadeye and always tried to speek with her in the first place, but did not get this ending). About stats can be learned from Johnny, but it was too late and he only talks about one thing in the day. There are still many things that can be improved.
But the game is great. I passed it twice (and looked at all endings on YouTube). I can not decide which of the endings I like most. And it's great.
Ginny ending surprised me (not happy end), but it is good, too.
Thanks for game and I hope you will make a sequel.

A great game, for those who have time for stories such as this, but I only want to play short games currently. If i had more time, then this is the game I would play. 5/5

This is the base of an amazing game- but the actual gameplay could be better. Although the gameplay isn't perfect the epic story makes up for it. 5/5 (If a sequel is made, I would love it if it included animated cutscenes.)

Game reminds me so much of the Anime The Irresponsible Captain Tylor Really well though out plot
sadly the anime was never finished could have been amazing Story but this Game lives really up to it.

I personnally really loved the gameplay and the storyline. However I found the levels kind of repetitve, and I might say it does not seem to be the main part of the game which it should (or am I wrong about that, because if I am, then it's perfectly fine, since the story's great). As far as the rest goes, I can't find many bad points about this game. I mean it has great graphics, great storyline, and a length that only few games on kongregate have achieved. Maybe a little more choices in the dialogues would be great in the sequel(I still havent figured out what the questions in the begining do), well I really hope there is a sequel.
