Great game- it's similar to Sigma Star Saga (old GBA game that won a quite a few outstanding awards) except yours is a lot more in depth with traits, and I would even say more depth in character development (comparatively speaking, yours has a lack of non-ship combat and exploration, but yours still somehow is the better contender in my eyes!). Keep up the good work!~ oh, and the storyline was simple, and borderline cliche, but regardless you get a clever point for presentation!

By and far one of the best flash games I've played in a while. The story had me playing mission after mission long after I should have gone to bed just so I could read more of it. I would love to see a sequel but I'm so torn on which ending I like more I don't know which one to vote for yet!

I love the music, the dialogue is engaging and humorous, and the game play is a good blend of classic space shooter and original ideas. The story is compelling; like a good book, the further into the story I progressed, the less I wanted to do anything but finish the story. I am very impressed, and the fact that this is basically a one man project makes it all the more impressive. Well done! 5/5

I wouldn't mind working on something like this, Right now I don't even know how to get making games on here, there is nothing to download or I don't know how to or if they provide anyhting, but I have and RPG that I am working on right now, that is starting paper base.

You need to make a squel and get to indy, and fight to get yourself full blood RPG version of this on a consol or something I only played 10 minutes of it and it would be awsome RPG Concept, I don't remember anything like this on consol and if there is, it out dated and need a waking.

To be honest, the gaming part isn't all that exciting. I completely loved the story however, the characters were complex and interesting and I am really glad you didn't do the "choose one of three answers" thing found in most games like this (Where I usually choose the first two wrong answers and then have to choose the one I didn't want to choose anyways) and instead just let the story run it's course. The gaming part was challenging even on medium (I'm working on the hard one now) but I was able to beat every level so far with small changes in strategy. 5/5 Stars, great job!

@Junkmike
WTF ! are you doing asking for MORE story. this is a game not a damn book. still if it were book(or somthing along the lines) it would be a pretty darn good one.

this game is the best. this game has a focus of each character differance. in a different way of each ending each oe is meaning full then the next... each ending shows a new life of existance of a way that is scarce in more time then one. the sound track of this game shows the right moments. Deadeye's and johnnys end was the two most meaning full however deunce ands tessa's ending was the most thought out and sespectedother than that swigs ending was the least expected.you most find it most promicing to keep clicking continue and deafiting lblis. deafeating lbis is easy but you might wantto use your wave vortex cannon (keypad no.7). this game as meaning full and if you are full of hatred and dislike you best to play this game to better yourself inaa new meaning. - by Christopher Elijah Sunde.....

A truely marvelous game. The time and work you must have put in is overwhelming. I was sucked in the moment I started to play and still can't leave the game after I've beaten it twice, absolutely amazing. Great job, but I fear something. This sets the bar extremely high for future games from you. It's going to be very hard to impress people now. Just keep up the good work and you'll be fine.

This game is a true masterpiece. The user actually becomes involved in the story, and is drawn into the lives of the characters. I kept finding myself wanting to know more, wanting to jump in and yell at the characters what I wanted them to do that they weren't seeing. xdanond, you have done a marvelous job.

Very fascinating game. A little bit difficult to follow at the beginning, because action is long to come, but the end is simply magnificent. Pretty good surprise. To play up to the end. 5/5

Such a beautiful game, I hope that a sequel is on the horizon as the developer has a very bright future in game development and story telling.

God, the music that plays when you return to the mothership after fighting the Earthwall makes me sad. It's so... beautiful and sad that it made me cry.

Didn't skip once Screw 5/5 .. Its 10/5 I really hope to see a sequal.

This is literally the most epic online game I've ever played. I thought about picking up a new game for the weekend but found this instead, and this was totally better. Kudos to you, sir, for creating a wonderful experience. I can't wait for your next game.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish foreground elements you can crash into from background. On some backgrounds enemies projectile are hardly visible. Difficulty curve is weird, i.e. I had no problem completing missions all through the last "pack". There I had to grind a bit. The very last level was trivial in comparison.
As for writing, I think it's alright, though cutting it would be nice. After starting the game I was greeted by 5minutes of exposition, 30sec of gameplay, and another 6 minutes of exposition. Another thing is a situation when everybody is tense and prepared to fight for their lives, but when you talk to them they will speak light hearted about their drinking problems, how their cooking is crap and who does Douce fancy the most. Also often happened that I could visit someone at the bar, yet there was no one there, and a situation when I had to choose who shall I talk to.

There are some issues I ran into that would detract from general playability, such as, as others have mentioned, it can be confusing to know which upgrades affect what with your ship, and how much better they are compared to such and such level weapon. Seems to revolve around the "higher level is always better" idea though, so not too much of an issue, but it can throw some people off first few levels. Also, some of the terrain/other objects the player can run into during a level are actually a bit hard to make out... I do appreciate the "realisticness" of it (run-into-able terrain should look like ground terrain, except.. you can run into it) but it needs to stand out in some fashion because it can be hard to avoid enemies' stuff all the while keeping an eye out for these things. Other than that really amazing game, wish I was half as good at making art and sound =(

are all these comments paid? if a game plays shitty, i dont care about the story... obstacles are nearly undistinguishable from background, enemies can fly through anything, players ship and own lasers cant? stupid.

I played this game the other day and made quite a bit of progress, but now it appears to have been erased. Any suggestions on why this has happened?

I would just like to point out, for that comment of you saying should you make a sequel, you got aboiut 1/5th to 1/4th of all Kongregaters saying that you should, including me. By the way, beautiful game, 5/5. One of best flash games I've seen in a long time

when ginny is talking about her star shattering you put two "is" in the sentence.
"Our star operates differently from your familliar concept of one. It is the same size when viewed from any distance. What you hold is is the full size of our star"-Ginny

This one of the best flash games I've played in years, I've been playing it since I clicked the link 2 hours ago! The story is engaging, the game play is nice and simple to learn and so fun!
I love this game, five stars!

So for anyone who saw Green Lantern which was an ok movie, did any of you notice it was alike this game? I mean they use fear and willpower while desire is used in this game. "Immortals" were able to harness the 3 powers. The "immortals" give these powers to a selected group and they can have anything they want? Loved this game. Any thoughts?
