Finished the game and loved it. Very good work. Just a heads up though, there are a a few lines of conversation that have errors or a word or two out of place. I think they are all in the last world or right before it. Other than that a wonderful game. Keep at and you will always have fans. =)

4.95/5, I still voted 5 though. WOuld be 5/5 if at the end it would make an autosave so you don't have to kill Iblis 3 more times. Also on "New Game Plus" there should be a +10 option for stats because I just clicked about 400 times. Still an awesome game, please make another! +?

Dude, I never comment on games, but yours was sooo epic I did it!!
You should write another game up!! This game is too perfect to risk a sequel ruin it!!

@ReignFire Hey dude you might as well play again because like 2/3 of the game was more reading the characters talking to eachother. So you can just skip it, but I say go for it because the ending is worth it :)

I don't usually comment on a game. But DANG this game is amazing. I love the story, I actually READ it and ENJOY reading it! I'm not even done with the game yet! You definitely should make a sequel! 5/5!

BIG SPOILER ALERT DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN THE GAME!!!!
Wow, Deuce has a VERY lucky ship. He has a 2 pirate lords on one ship: a psychic and an endangered panda, the 4 (in all but not at one time) last survivors of a magical race, and a blind genius who somehow makes weapons out of love. Contrary to popular belief, but i think there was another reason besides Deuce's "skill" that led to him winning =p

"Whatever it is, do good things in life. No, do great things in life."
I LOVED the game, not only for the smooth controls, flowing graphics, and heart-turning music, but most of all the storyline. It was amazing playing through this game. If I had one wish from Wishing Star, I'd wish for a sequel, or another game similar to this one. Easily a 6/5(yes that is supposed to be six/five). Plus if you agree.

Wow. This is definitely on my top 10 list of best Flash games ever, simply because of the lovable characters and excellent story writing. However, before you make a sequel (and you really should... I mean, over 5k votes is pretty compelling), I have a couple suggestions.
1. Please let us customize our own keyboard controls. The most annoying thing in this game was accidentally pressing "~" because it's right next to the 1 key, and vice versa.
2. Let us rearrange the weapon bar. It was pretty aggravating having to glance down at the keyboard every time I wanted to switch to one of the later weapons; it would be much easier if we could set our favorite weapons to the first couple number keys.
Anyways, great job on the game, and good luck :)

Holy crap, that sure was a refreshing experience for a free flash game. This seriously had one of the best stories I've ever seen, you've really got a talent for it. All the characters had an ocean's depth to them, and growing attached to them all was effortless. The gameplay was good and challenging when it needed to be, though there are some things to improve on. Making the enemies a bit easier to see on the background would be a plus for the smaller ones, and there was a minor bug where being wedged against a certain wall in the Forgotten City would instantly kill you. Spell check is your friend; have someone edit your dialogues first before finishing the game so that there's no mistakes like spelling. I love the music for the game, though I would suggest adding more for the different levels. Now the ending doesn't leave much for a sequel, but if one was made, I would play it non-stop front to back and enjoy every minute of it like I did this game. Good show.

Excellent game, but I have a bit of an issue with the "ending vote". It is a neat gimmick, but this could prevent the "good" (or special) ending from being canon due to the sheer number of people that beat the game on normal mode without unlocking the special ending. I personally have not unlocked it yet (I saw it on youtube). Could anybody give me some precise unlocking tips?

I just finished it. I loved how it ended. It.. it was just perfect. Although, not to give anything away, i sort of wanted to see the other option for what the ending created.

@ people who dont like using the mouse to shoot: you don't have to use the spacebar to shoot. i have to admit i don't get the mouse being standerd

WASD w/ mouse just feels SO awkward when playing an arcade style shooter: I can't aim anywhere else but forward, so why do I need the mouse to shoot?. Keyboard only controls are the best way to go, since the dominant hand will be on the arrows, which need to be finely used for dodging; shooting is secondary. Otherwise a great game.

Great game 5/5. I really like the story thing and with branches makes many varies of the game. I appreciate the time making the plot of the story, but the only thing I would suggest is that it should have a longer ending. When comparing to the whole story, the ending is too short. It gives me the impression that, "oh, that's it? It simply end like this?" feelings.

Is it just me or is the best part about this game is the plot? Sure the gameplay is great, but the storyline is what make this game one of the best, if not the best, game on kongerate.

This is an incredible game. It's like a manga, with a game between chapters. It gives you tons of action-packed, page turning (next-clicking?) dialogue, and then when you start to get bored of it, you get a fun little shooter game. Its awesome. THE best game on Kongregate, hands down. This actually makes into one of the top games i've ever played, for ANY system.

This game is amazing and I loved it and am glad it is rated high. I went on Armorgames, I go there occasionally even though inferior, and saw it was rated 7.2/10 and was immensely disappointing. I looked at the comments and saw how a lot of people said it sucked cause it was boring and and realized that I am really glad kongregate is more popular. It shows there are plenty of intelligent flash gamers and they come here. I have yet to see a negative comment here. I've noticed that's a reoccurring theme there and they just like mad rapid 5 minute shooters and can't appreciate a really good game like this which is where Kongregate shines. I really hope the guy makes a sequel.
