I'd rate 6/5 but there was a SKIP(!?!?!) button,so get satisfied with 5.5/5! :-P why on earth would anyone allow the remove of soooo nice dialogues? :-D

It is my greatest hope that the success of this game encourages other developers to put more effort into good stories and characterization.

Hey, there's this glitch that happened during level 2's boss fight, now it gave me a shitton of money and exp and all the levels are spinning and changing names... Could you look into this?

Love the game, finished most if not all the content, and still playing. The only downside is that on a few levels, I've gotten stuck in the walls once or twice. Sometimes I can finagle my way out, but other times, it does no good.

Wow, after going through all of the endings I honestly can't pick just one to vote for. The character development in this game was phenomenal and can't bear to sacrifice one character for another.

This game is amazing! 10/5 The characters are wonderful, and the building storyline is magnificent! It's these kinds of games that I'll live for :)

This is one of the best games I played. I really enjoyed the story. Unfortunately, I can't vote on my favorite ending since it isn't listed. (The no wish ending) Took a long time to get it but it was worth it.

Also A possible idea for a sequel could be mare's story. Of how he started working with the federation all the way through to the end of this game and beyond?

@ChippyYYZ You are confusing story and character development, as far as plot goes, it's quite mediocre. The music is also good, but terribly misplaced and while the dialogue is usually far above what I usually see in flash games, there are still many incredibly wooden lines.
I sincerely wish there would be a sequel with all the flaws ironed out.

This is an amazing game! You rarely find a game good enough that you WILL NOT stop playing for hours on end. I really hope that you will make a sequel, and maybe add different ships you can buy that specialize in certain stats and lack in other ones, this would allow an even greater experience in customization and battle. 5/5 Great Job!

This marks the first time I have played a game on this, or any other flash site, from start to finish, and felt the need to comment. This is an amazing piece of artwork. Everything from start to finish was truly incredible. I wish I could give a 6 star rating... I really do.

I give out 5's to games I really love. It is this type of game that makes me wish they had a super secret reserve "6". I won't belabor the writing, because it's been said and it's amazing. But beyond that, you have one of the best shooters out there. A few more variations in bosses (i liked what you did there in world 3) and seriously...unmatched.

idea for music if sequel is made... deadmau5 strobe at 6:45-10:37? that seems like one of those deep space kick ass songs :) click + if u agree!

The rating went from 4.45 to 4.41 in a few days. Everyone please rate this 5 stars! only 16 days before it wins! it is in the lead! talent like this should be recognized and rewarded. Never has a game came to kongregate or any flash game site with so much power.

Unlike anything I've ever seen on this or any other game site. The between-mission dialogues were more interesting than most entire flash games. I honestly believe that the story is on as high a level as even the greatest video games I've ever played. Halo, Phantom Dust, The Legend of Zelda, Bioshock, The Elder Scrolls... Starwish stands as tall as any of them. If this writing had better gameplay supporting it (I'm thinking something along the lines of X-Wing or the flying level in Halo: Reach), this game would be remembered<\thepoint>. Most people playing your game have never played Zelda on the NES, but they remember it. See if any major companies are interested in developing a non-flash game with this story, because Starwish has the writing it needs to be a Big deal. Again, this game could be remembered. +My compliments to the musicians.

Also, the developer focuses a lot on the story, well then he should grab a pen and paper and start writing a book or start working on console games

Its like one of those crappy games they made for old cellphones, those that you played only to kill time when you were extremely bored while waiting (for anything) and didn't have a gameboy advance with you... Thus it reminds me of my childhood... The gameplay and graphics are horrible, then again its the best of its genre.

Excellent story, not a very good game sadly. Story-based games like Mass Effect (2) require a non-repetitive sort of gameplay to keep interest. This is a game that has potential, but its gameplay is nothing special; I believe that whoever made this game should focus his or her talents, not on programming games, but writing the stories to larger games (bigger than flash games, console games). This flash game should definitely put whoever created and wrote it "on the radar," and I expect to see more games in the future (hopefully, for consoles) that have a similar writing theme. Thanks for the interesting story. An easy 4 star rating.

The story in this game is amazing! My interesting is equal - if not greater - in reading the story than actually playing the game.

suggestion: next time, could you add a "summary" button on it, so that if I accidentally didn't read the plot or skipped it (it happens), you could at least read a summery what happened?

After playing for hours last night, I saved and exited from the End of Time. No save game today. Would like to see the ending. Any chance of adding in a start from chapter option or something like that?

I retract my most recent comment. SPECIAL ENDING. I have never felt more attached to characters in a little computer game, one of thousands on only this site. You are a master storyteller, xdanond. It was a pleasure and an honor to be in your audience.

the forbidden city is so much harder then most of the other lvls! It has so many obstacles I can't dodge all the bullets even though I keep activating overdrive! (5 times in a run so far, but haven't survived all of it so probably more).

This game makes me wanna live in a flying techno-looking space shuttle with a bunch of hot chicks and a drunk dude to hang out with...

Not finished yet (just entered the end of time) but here are some suggestions:
1) It needs more boom. Those are massively powerfull weapons, they should create a lot more explosions and scatter and everything.
2) Despite the fact that your backgrounds are very nice pictures, they get incedibly confusing with the matching foregrounds. It's quite hard to distinguish between enemy, obstacle and background which can get pretty anoying (and also quite stressful for the eyes)
3) It does get a bit repetetive since each world follows the same pattern (level wise) and has the same bosses. Same for the enemies. Did you try using different tint effects on them depending on the world?
That said, I think it is a wonderfull game with a really great storyline and I'll be sure to finish it tomorrow. If you do have the chance, I'd love to see a part 2 :) 4/5 Stars

My thoughts on the game? I agree with most of the other people, in that the story is probably the best part, but I think the fact that you have to fight the same boss three times is kind of a killer for me. It's not perfect, I don't think it's really a 5/5, but it's a very good game nevertheless.

I'm curious as to why there was no Deadeye or ginny wish at the end. Or is my comp just being stupid and not showing me all the endings.
