There's an achievement for defeating the firebolt in the beginning but beyond that there's no other rewards/storyline changes as far as I can tell. + if this helps.

@theunlimitedg yes there is. with about 5 points in engine mods, fly up, then clockwise around the screen (to the right, down, then back to the left). You do need a few points in engine mods, though. In general, 5 will get you through any level except the swamp. You'll want 10-15 to out-maneuver the Wisp. Also, how does this game not have badges yet?

this game is awesome, the gameplay while not perfect is really good and the dialogue is just great. however, and this is NOT a rant, is it just me, or does the story feel a lot like pirates of the carribien 3 set in space ?^^ don't get me wrong, i love it, just got this feeling so i gotta ask if i'm the only one ^^

Typically - I despise the anime style games. I wouldn't have even looked at this game if it wasn't for the rating, and wouldn't have played without the comments. In all honesty, this is the most extraordinary and entertaining flash game I've seen. Genuinely phenomenal. Well done!

While the story is undeniably excellent and the core gameplay works, I'm left with one major problem with this game. The third act. In the third act, the otherwise reasonable story takes an absurdly mystical turn, where most of the dialogue is spent cheering people up and learning about the looming foe. Furthermore, the previous careful balance in game between shields and weapons and all that is almost completely lost to excessively powerful attacks. Finally, almost no new weapons/mods are revealed in the third act, so you're stuck with the stuff you already have, which does little to alleviate the stagnation of the gameplay. I really enjoyed this game up to that point, but I think you went a little too far.

To get the most out of your stats, my suggestion would be ALL to offense, when that's maxed, everything to offense and LUCK.
This game is really console material, you sir, are a genius! The plot, the interesting conversations, the fighting mini-games, the characters, the story-line, I seriously think you deserve to have a money bag thrown at you for every gamer that enjoyed this game. Congratulations, you just struck RPG gold, and I'm actually sad, I can't give this more than 5/5.

Second run yes, make sure u be at least level 100, and have models be shield and shield regen(have to do this before killing last boss)
On a side note finnaly back at level600, saving every few levels to avoid loosing 239 levels again, onward to reach level 1000 first, ahh this game never ends so much power to be gained.

this reminds me of kingdom hearts and chrono trigger with the feelings i had playing them. that sense of pure adventure and having a exciting goal.you sir need to march on down to a company and show them this.ask nintendo theyll do it justice. square enix have lost their soul.

Thank you for doing proofreading. Nothing is a bigger bummer to me than when a plot-driven flash game is reaching its climax and I read something like, "Hero! Have at yuo!"

Amazing game. What you have created here is art, pure and simple. Gorgeous music, epic story, and the characters are perfect, they grow on you and their little animated features stick with you through the battles. Such a wonderful concept. I loved the powerup system, the increase in difficulty, everything. The only issue is that I lost the saved data about 3 times at the last part, which you can imagine was tough because the last part is quite challenging and I was looking forward to seeing the ending. Maybe there is some kind of data loss, some bug, I don't know. Either way, it is a monumental game! Congratulations! 100/5

a tip: when you use overdrive try to hit all the enemies with your ship because they will explode and you won't take damage

Now im getting irritated. Lost my data for the 5th time. I don't understand why this is happening as im saving everytime before i exit out. I was almost done with the game on hard mode....AGAIN >_>

@lingeringshadow The goodies that I know of are the ability to talk to another character (I won't say as it is a spoiler) and also the ability to get the alternate "no wish" ending which is basically a group wish. You should playthrough the game for the fun of it and to get used to what you need to do before attempting to do the alternate "no wish" ending. Hmm, the only thing missing, is an option to be able to reread the thing in game, becouse there are some cases, when i double click by accident, and i can't go back, to read it again. Everything else is awsome, I need to get Gynni's ending :) Keep up the good work.

Awww game remembered to level 462 when I was at level 700.
It seems the game does not save a level if u redo it a lot, also does not seem to save after last boss, :(

Great game, great storyline. But seems a bit buggy. I now died several times for no apparent reason. Was not near an edge, full health, no serious enemies anywhere on screen. BOOM. dead. Annoying.

This is ONE of the ONLY GAMES where I haven't beat it or got bored in ONE SITTING. Great job man. Story and EVERYTHING is great. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a new one.

I'm replaying my save file to get all of the different endings, then playing through again. >.< Such a good game. Brilliant in every way. I think Square Enix should higher you guys, seriously.

It's rare to find a shooter or action game where the dialogue and story take longer to tell than the levels take to play. I find it quite encouraging to learn that there are still programmers out their who are not afraid to include a full plot in their games, and capable of writing an interesting one on top of that. Phenomenal Game! Great job!

1 complaint if you save it then go back in straight away then save it again later it doesnt save the second one i got to the third/fourth zone(cant remember which) and saved it many times on the way now its reverted to level 7 with two missions clompeted this has completely put me off this now... wow long comment

I have never left a comment to a game. But this one is just awesome. Good story, interesting characters, a lot of endings and many other features make this game wonderfull! 5/5
