"We lost him again" - hahaha owned. Tessa failed.
Tip for life:Always check your back when saying strange things about someone (or else you will suffer)
"Luck helps you get women" - This game can be counted to be a comedy game.
"I bet he could make a piece of wood taste delicious" - Wood is eatable?

Oh My God. This. Game. Is. Awesome. It's been a while since I don't read books with such a good story, let even alone games! Really, I can remember of a single game with such a good story as this one, and that was years ago. Certainly, there are several minor improvements you could make, like custom keymapping and interaction with dialogues, but this certainly is a 5/5 game nonetheless.

Please, I beg you , keep making this kind of games , but please , don't make them with money content. The only thing , but the ONLY that I would change at this game are the bosses , I mean all of them are fine , but fighting all of them 3 times feels repetitive, just make it more random , so you will always have a surprise. This is the only game that moved me, and I don't get moved so easy.In the end I want to say one last thing to you , and that is , CONGRATULATIONS.Also for the one that got the music, it's absolutely beautifull.Keep going guys.

it's been half a year since i last added a game to favorites, it's been longer since i gave a 5/5, i've spent a better part of my day actually reading the storyline and tried to skip through battles to see what happens next. congratulations on a masterpiece

Please , I beg yDamn... I can't describe in words how talented you are....I tell you , from an experienced player with hundreds of games played..... that.. this game is purely amazing....it's so far the best I've ever played in my entire life. The Storyline is so , dramatic , the stories of the characters... makes you feel like they're real. I swear , this game is the only game that moved me, almost made me cry , because there are teachings too , not only Pew pew. This game is purely amazing... I can't describe it.... I wish with all my heart you make a second game and even longer if possible, I gave it a 5/5 and I put it in my favorite. This game doesn't deserve 4.41.....it deserve 5.00. A lot of people playing this should learn something from it , even if it's not real , contains a lot of truth... also... the one that made this game... you are amazing , so much talent in you.

First impressions: 1) Like the philosophical "debate" at the beginning 2) When you wake up the music reminds me of monkey Island.

Great game, I really got into the story. I hope you'll make another one. I don't think I've ever been so into the story of a video game, especially a flash game. Well done sir. Loved the ending, simply amazing As with the moral of the story, it's so true. I didn't think a flash game would ever make me realize this. Thank you for making this great game. Great story, great gameplay, just great everything. =P I hope to see more from you.

1. Same monsters, bosses and maps for every single world.
2. Some monsters are way harder than bosses.
3. In some occasions monsters are stuck on wall and its impossible to kill em without losing life
That is more than enough to rate it 1/5-2/5

@kevin_saz Somehow, I don't see anybody else having trouble posting their opinions on the game here. In fact, I don't feel obligated to join a forum to do so.

One of the most well-thought out, engaging plots that I have seen. Easy 5/5. Thanks xdanond and look forward to a sequel!

It's been 5 years since i've cried at anything really but when i got johnny's ending i couldn't stop crying. Thinking about it i don't think i've ever been this moved by any work of fiction (bar a few)

It's just a coincidence, or Mare has voluntarily dressed in blue? Because Mare means "sea" in latin and italian and, generally, the seas are blue..

I take issue that I'm currently on New game Plus and have yet to receive my medium and hard badge, yet upon starting my game afresh after losing it to cache clearing I received the easy badge. Note, I had no saved game... fix your badges?

When I heard Deadeye trying to make love into a weapon of mass destruction, I can't help but think she's a good-hearted version of black mage from 8-Bit Theater :)

In a sequel or future update there are a few minor changes I request. Most importantly, an autofire option! I never take my hand off the space bar anyway. Also the backgrounds of the stages are very distracting. So maybe an option to fade them or grey them out? And then, I want to go back and re-hear Johnny's explanations of the different stats.

Nice game... Except that the save function seems to have some bugs. In a game of this length thats nearly as awkward as if the fire key broke. At least that way I wouldn't waste hours before finding out. My storage is unlimited, of course.

Story of the game is a masterpiece, especially those last words at each of the endings. A rare game which i played not to get the badges, this one deserves some Peter Jackson playthrough =]

@omega64 yeh, you get the "Time Paradox" achievement for taking out the Firebolt. Probably on your 2nd or 3rd playthrough unless you're ridiculously lucky and good.

@albertillo I'm not here to start a drama, if you find flaws in my arguments, just point them out and I will reconsider.
...also it's "stfu".

Great game and awesome storyline! I think you should add more different kinds of enemies and different bosses :P But still, 5/5 :)

Ending: o_o
Let's just say I was disappointed. By all of them. The same sappy music kept playing and never stopped. I didnt even notice if it changed to main menu music or was main menu music all along. The endings felt empty and distant. And abrupt.

It's especially frustrating since even the free space to move is smaller than it looks, your ships just refuses to come in contact with the edge of the screen, making some of the hits after the boss goes under 50% hp entirely unavoidable. The only option it seems is to grind your level until your HP pool is large enough, but what the hell has grinding lost in a shmup game? Grinding is THE one RPG element one should NOT implement in his game, the game is already repetitive as hell, counting the fact that 66% of it is retreading of first 10 levels. Repeatedly repeating the repetitive levels is not fun.
