Well I love how good the the dialogs between the characters are.
gameplay is also a lot of fun
so i would say this is a nice rpg sidescroll shooter mix with a good story
GOOD JOB !!

This game was honestly... Well, just beautiful. I don't think I will ever find a game that can even come close to this. The characters, the plot, the music... There is just so much that is right with this game. And the best thing is, it's completely free, never tries charging you for anything, AND doesn't use that energy system that everybody hates. If this game was for sale in a shop, or an online site, I would definitely buy it. I really do believe that I would be hard pressed to find a better game. Although I always thought there would be the choice to bring back Ginny... Instead I made the wish to bring back bamboo. The least selfish wish possible, and after listening to that old bear, who wouldn't want the planet back? Now... I realise I've rambled, so long story short, GREAT game. I would do anything for a sequel... I might ever start looking for Wishing Star myself. Well, this game is getting a 5/5 rating and favorited.

@lovezombie i do not understand why you cant understand that a game isnt just gameplay, thats like saying a book is just paper. no, its about the story

I cannot understand why this game was voted as one of the best games of 2011. The comments seem to be a massive DeviantArt circle jerk; so perhaps that's why. For anyone who would like an actual review, the game is pretty basic, no better than Flying Tiger in the early 90s. Dialogue is cliched and irritating, as is the art. In summary, less than average game made and supported by weeaboos.

Just amazing for a flash game, I'm starting to get the hang of flash but it takes a half hour for me to figure out how to convert symbols into buttons xD

the only bad thing i can so about this game is that there is nothing rpg about it. It is a straight shooter game with extended story in between levels. As a shooter game though it's awesome.

If you do make a sequel, is it going to be multiple start choices depending on which ending you want to continue on from, or is it going to be a single canon start?

What an awesome game....Is,is just...I am speechless.I have being frustrated from this kind of games where you are a little spaceship and you have to avoid the shots and destroy those hard bosses that were almost impossible to evade but this game is very different...I enjoy this game so much.Is a shame that i am playing it in my dads shop and when i come back to my house i will loose all the stuff i obtained u.u

something I want for the sequel. I want a slightly better upgrade system (the costs get ridiculous!) which take into account the price of your old weapon when purchasing the new one like so:[New price - (price of old weapon - % of original cost)]. I also would like more stat points... just because a game like this we want to become OP in ^_^ kinda annoying when you reach that point where you start losing boosts to capped items due to lack of enough skill points to spare to keep them up.

Anyone else want a menu feature to replay endings? I hate having to deal with my dear dust cloud friend to replay those awesome endings

You turned a simple shoot em up into one of the best stories I have ever read. It just makes you feel like you know each character so well. Never in my life have I felt like I was bonding with a character while playing a game as much as I have here. Mind blown.

Look, the game play felt to repetitive, but I mean F**K THAT THIS GAME NEEDS A FILM MADE OUT OF. BEST STORYLINE ON KONGREGATE. GO MAKE AN ANIME OR SOMETHING.

Gameplay was decent, but I HATE bosses that take up 1/4 the screen and try to ram you. Some serious downscoring for that, but it's a personal taste sort of thing.

Well... Where to start with this... Oh! I'll start by saying that this game...Is... PERFECT!!! In every aspect! The story line is absolutely wonderful... The music drives it deeper into your heart... And my god. The character development in this wonderful story was flawless. The combat mechanics were wonderfully smooth and challenging at times. And to top it all off, I have played many flash games in my life... And this game, by far, by a land slide, by a long shot, was the best that I have ever played. It's easily in my top 5 games of all time! Now stop reading this comment and get to a sequel! All of us are dying for one!
