I should be able to see what I get when I buy something. It seems kind of obvious after you buy the same thing a few times (+0.5, +0.5, +0.5) but it would really help if I was buying something new and didn't want to waste money on something I thought was going to be more useful. Maybe put a +X.X when I scroll over an upgrade? Just my input.

after upgrading all attack options, i kill everything off screen...and somehow take damage. Is bouncing bullets with high radius able to hit oneself? Are air-hit enemies able to be knocked down onto oneself?
I am working on a import/export function for save games. Which browser+version are you using? The game should actually save at the end of each wave as well as everytime you buy something which requires permanent currency.

Need option to disable continuous round skipping. I've had a round start on its own and I accidentally hit wave send wanting the first one to come and end up killing myself

I can only spend gems in 5's. Not sure what the reason for that is. Needs fixing. Also please make the skip button press-able while in the shop. Cookies are a plus for Kong. Please use them for game saving. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head right now.
Should be fixed now. The upgrade window is going to receive a redesign since most people want to watch their tower in action while upgrading. About the save issue: Which browser+version are you using? Actually the game saves at the end of each wave as well as everytime you are buying blueprint-upgrades/spending special currency. I am currently working on an import/export function for save-games.

I feel like this game is really good, but I also feel like it isn't. The system is fun, the setup is fun, trouncing a million blocky enemies is fun. I like the upgrades available, I like what the elemental powers do for attack and defense and the research tree. But I feel this game gets worse as you go on in waves. You should feel more powerful as you go, stomping blocks into pixel dust beneath your mighty tower as you face more and more challenging waves. But I feel you hit a climax of power around wave 20 - 25 and then barely gain enough resources to stay with the curve until you eventually die minutes later. I think the late game needs some rebalancing before I can love this game.
Thank you for your feedback. I planned some more interesting end game features but I still need some time to implement them. I hope you can still enjoy the game until then. :)

The rewarding system for the orange blocks needs to be tweaked. With two hours worth of play I only have 150 orange blocks. I really like the game though.

Killed by "ran out of memory" ~ lol (I'm reaching lvl 400 with low quality. Is there anyway to prevent using that much memory :P) The game is great btw.
I am sorry for this issue. As I wrote in the update section I still don't have a universal solution for this problem. I already hate WebGL for that. The game requires around ~70MB of combined GPU-Memory and RAM when testing it with the live profiler directly in the browser. Please try if it works when hosted on our site without the Kongregate API. (http://www.fs-studios.com/games/perfecttower/)

some weird bug where a square is at 0 range and the tower won't target it and so it keeps hitting me for damage, even if all other squares are gone it won't hit it
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
actually i take it back. its not the using gems thats strong, its the 10% interest on gold that stacks with the resource bonus that makes you go into infinite money mode. (imagine, 1000% resource bonus * 10% interest means doubling your gold every round)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
spamming gems on utility is still too strong. I can still get infinite money just by using 90 gems at the start. (might even be able to do it with less). Also there is a bug with the infinite money as in it becomes negative after a while lol.
Actually gems are going to have a more universal use later on. Once the factory is ready it's going to produce resources even while being offline. Each building is going to have a unique currency. The brown cubes are the basic ones which can be converted. Gems are going to give you a special bonus in each building. (For example the gems are going to allow you to speed up the resource production in the factory.)

Tested it in firefox, won't load. Ok, tested it in Google Chrome, won't load either :/ really? I've played over 200 games on this site, this is the very first one that doesn't work in the latest versions of any browser I have :/
I am sorry to hear that. I am using the latest firefox version too on my main PC. The strange thing is that on my laptop the game does not load on Kongregate but when it is hosted on our site I loads perfectly fine. It seems like the initialization of the KongregateAPI+WebGL is too much for some browsers. All I can offer you for now is to check out if it works without the Kongregate API. Every time you get a game over you just lose the research you were doing, like all of it. Can't you atleast give me my gems back for research that's not finished?
And maybe gems that I used for my stats? That's something that doesn't stay either so it seems pretty useless to give gems to if you won't get them back.
The gem lost due to game over was actually a bug. Should be fixed in the latest build. If you would keep every gem it would be way to overpowered at the moment. :)

So I was playing yesterday and got to level 36 before I went to bed. Now this afternoon I'm lucky if I can get up to 30. Did you make this game MORE difficult? It was already imbalanced at certain levels as anOutCast stated. This makes the game more tedious. I really enjoy the simplicity, however the strategy can't be too simplistic and the grinding can't take too long or it gets boring too fast. But seriously, you added large cubes to be mixed in and it's actually more difficult. Not cool. I'm losing interest. I like the factory idea, but if I measure the accumulation of blocks to reach a single upgrade.....Wow. No thanks. I'll be back sometime later (few days) to see if it's adjusted/fixed.
It's difficult to balance since many people say it's way too easy while others say it's way to hard. I am going to add multiple difficulties very soon so everyone is going to be satisfied. :)
4. add VR support so you can sit on top of your tower in first person and laugh at all the defeated cubes below your feet. Just kidding. :) Music is actually planned. I am currently working on the export/import feature for saves. (Actually saving should happen at least once at the end of every wave. Which browser+version are you using?).

So, you spend ages playing this game come back to it the next day and all your progress is gone. Whats the point in that?
Saving should happen at least once at the end of each wave. What browser+version are you using? I am currently working on an import/export feature for save-files.

currently using safari (most updated version) but if need be i can swap over to chrome. I don't use it often cause it makes my comp sound like a helicopter... Such a fun game!!

I managed to get to wave 32, no issue really, its quite a bit of work to get ahead, AND its quite a while to get just one blue box upgrade point thingy. You have to play like 10-15 rounds up to your max for your starting resource to go up to be able to advance anymore.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really really love the concept of this game.. only thing is its kind of annoying that it resets your progress every time you hop on this game, defiantly needs a save option.

Seems like a pretty nice game. Blueprint points are extremely slow to gather though. I played for around 1 or 1,5 hours and finally collected my first one. I'm guessing it will just count as 1 normal in game upgrade? Which is honestly quite weak as the first upgrades are the cheapest ones. If this is the case it would be nice if the gold cost didn't increase in game, but stays on the old level. So it truly counts as 1 free upgrade. If it already does/works differently then just ignore this.

Wave 18 on first round i didnt think i had acomplished anything until i looked at the comments saying they are finding it hard at around wave 15
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
At 600 starting resources I can only get to 760 in two more rounds, reaching wave 57. If you want me to reach round 100 in 4 attempts, you need to buff the starting bonus a bit more. Haven't gained enough special resources to buy anything yet (47). I'll wait till the town is fully implemented.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
We should be able to decide how to distribute the resources before starting to play, rather than buying again and again the same stuff at the start of the game

How does defense work? i have 11 defense the mobs have 1.5 attack i still die on wave 5 from a thorns return damage build... 1.5 > 11 defense?

I'm trying to play on firefox but gives this error: "The browser could not allocate enough memory for the WebGL content. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating less memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings." I have only firefox open and only one tab (the game on it). And I have 4gb of RAM

i`m currently on wave 250,I started with 800 white cubes and 50 gems, no blue cube upgrades, nearly all researches. My strategy:
1. Start: spend all resources on resource per wave and spend 20-30 gems on it too
2. Early waves(1-15) focus basic attack skills-attack speed and damage, all free cubes spend on resource bonus
3. Midagame(15-30) focus advanced attack skills:rapid fire and multishot(spend ~5 gems on their effects),both crits, buy some elemental upgrades,GRAVITY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT
4. Early lategame(30-60) your main damage source are darkness and nature now,but gravity is very important to hold enemies, upgrade it too.Due to some glitches enemies can hit you,so you have to upgrade your health
5. Final game(60-...) It`s bounce time! Now you can upgrade it`s range greatly, spend some gems on jumps amount, keep upgrading rapid fire, multishot, darkness and nature. Some basic dmg upgrades are ok too.Now you can survive till your health will be lower than enemy dmg and you get a random hit

Been trying to play this game for a few days now... Mac and Firefox. It wont load and sits on a black screen with this error: "An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was:
SecurityError: The operation is insecure."

Exchange rate for orange cubes for blue cubes seems pretty high, requires 1000 waves/upgrade, which is pretty expensive for +4 resources/wave or .25% interest.
