Yes I think this game must provide players much more things to dig out to build various builds, rather than upgrade offence to get more resource to upgrade your offence. I think there are more genius out there (including you) to figure out how to make this more fun, but just trying to give you a feeling.
Like, saying, I want to see discussions about full nova build, vampire build, bruiser build, laser build, or many other things.

Wait, hey xmmmx99, I got some ideas.
The problem of not prioritizing defense is because this game is all about killing cubes faster so don't get one-shot.
And even if you choose defensive style, you need to also balance out damage to be able to kill cubes, which is quite unefficent because investing your resources into offensive upgrade is much much efficient.
So how about an upgrade which gives you bonus damage based on your health, and an upgrade which gives you a shield which recharges from lifesteal? This way I can enjoy trying full offensive build, full defensive build with some lifesteal, or balancing out offence and defense, and many more combinations.

@Tama Yoshi- Well, exactly. Getting one-shot is the only way you die. And most common reason of death. There is no way you can survive any attack with your health with escalating damage which can clearly one-shot you with everything upgraded in your defense.

It would likely be a more strategic game if life regeneration was not broken; with life-regen coming from Nature and Life Drain, and perhaps some small amount from % regen per second, getting one-shot becomes the only way to die, which is why bosses are the bottleneck.

I don't know if it's the patch, or just me, but research times are no longer equal to the speed you're playing at. 0x and 4x moves at the same 1x speed for research

Element's relative defenses are broken. Getting it to 99%, or merely from 90 to 99% results in a huge difference which is certain to make you immune to all attacks for a little while. This also makes white enemies incredibly strong as opposed to all others, but fortunately they are not common.
Boss monsters are a bottleneck for HP, since it ultimately comes down to whether they can one-shot you or not. Multishot is equivalent to bouncing, except it's more reliable and easier to hack in since laboratory allows for it to reach 12 projectiles quite easily, whereas bouncing 10 times is almost impossble with % bounce less than 60.

well, while playing, in upgrade window there's written in green, what's max lvl .... but in the laboratory this is missing ....

Would it be possible to have an auto-upgrade option? Or when you have the resources, the tower buys the upgrade? Then it would become more of a true idle grinder. I like the idea of setting up a starting build, an upgrade priority and then seeing how much further the different builds make it

It's really hard which change a lot from other game in the genre. Are the element of attack of 1 at a time or is it possible to fire a fire/nature/ice attack in one shot?

V 0.12b seems to be more lagy at x2 - 4 now. i used to wipe the floor with the cubes at 1k and then die at about 2.4k now they are getting close to me at wave 300. and rapid fire seems to be slow fire now

don't know if its possible but to solve the damage and health inf problem you could always have the mobs go up by default 0.01 - 0.1

dont wanna repeat what everybody else have said but in my opinions here what i think about this game
first it a awesome game been playing it for a while
but Factory useless except maybe for green cube but even there it useless pretty much .
upgrade ill go in the same side as most people its all about hitting withtout getting hit i think some kind of (next wave info ) would be awesome like how much dmg they gonna do and how much hp they have
so we could maybe play different strategy by having enought resistance or thing like that ..
ive seen two multiplicative upgrade dmg and hp why no cost reduction kind of thing so we could go really stronger by spending less after bunch of upgrade
element fire ice everything is there but i dont see a way to use them efficient most of the time just better to put everything in dmg or att speed

maby something like Recycling would be nice.... I mean if you have upgraded everything at the factory your red cubes are useless

On the second tab for Defensive the last upgrade says "Elemental Piercing" and the value is a % however the tooltip says "Fixed amount of damage ignored from all enemies."

What about a new building: the market? Allowing you to trade blue blocks for red ones, green to blue. Keeping the 4 red = 1 blue, 10 blues = 1 green.

Anyone else notice that some bosses are either bugged and don't slow, or are somehow immune? My slow was at 100% and the boss just bulldozed right through me. Glitch or bug?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
FYI one thing I have found is on the second page of the defensive upgrades, the Universal res. (Abs) has changed to Elemental Piercing which is as I thought an attack upgrade.

Would it be possible to move the "skip" button so it's not covered by the upgrades tab when open? Thanks for the updates!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
With all but damage and crit maxed I get to about round 350 on hard (with offensive chance maxed so that my damage increases every round). I've started investing heavily in defensive skills and I see almost no increase in the number of rounds I can complete, even with block chance, defense %, universal %, and elemental % maxed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Defensive, offensive and utility chance upgrades shouldn't affect unit cost, Otherwise at high level this outpaces buying upgrades and the costs rise too much compared with income.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can the auto-skip feature be disabled on boss waves? The main issue with it is that since the boss is only 1 enemy, it auto-skips and leaves you with dozens of enemies supporting the boss.

All cool, but still big problems with balance
1. Most of defense skills are usless, for me the only effective way was to max block chance to 100% and damage reduction to 99% beacuse no point to invest onto elemental resistances or other types of defense since black guys just one-hit-kill you all the time in late game, and other enemies are just not that dangerous
2. Black guys are to OP. Espesically bosses ... well, comparing to other enemies
3. Nova looks cool but is useless now, because you dont need it early game and on late game if someone hits you - you are dead.
4. Lifesteal and Nature are uselees - you just dont have any chance to use it, same reasons with point 3
5. Air is useless too, small enemies die fast, but bosses are immune
6. etc .....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is it just me, or is the interest upgrade /way/ too small? I mean, maybe make it double? Or adjust the cost to make it 1.5* increase?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Factory needs a very serious buff. Possibly to increase the amount of blocks per production? 1 is simply not nearly enough.
Defense in general needs a buff also, especially absolute value defense, which is basically useless.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
At this point in time the "Interest /wave" isn't just negligable, but actively harms anyone who can't do the math. It's a block sink for the stupid.
Interest %/wave is so tiny even after spending literally millions of cubes to upgrade to 1% per wave. I mean 1% of 22k is 220 cubes.
That's less than I get from resources/wave and that's only spending 50k.
At no point would it be possible to get a positive return on investment.

This game is a great idea but it is far too slow. It does not work as an idle game nor a farming game because both aspects are too slow to receive any fun from it. The upgrades give you next to nothing for ridiculous amounts of materials, and the blueprints are useless because it takes too long to get the upgrade material. In general, this game is hands down the slowest game I've played on kongregate.

I'd like the ability to see the enemies stats. Right now it's hard to make decisions between something like "Should I get absolute or relative defense?" when I can't see how much health and defense my enemies have.
