Discord has a huge weakness: play a Sanctuary, and Discord becomes completely useless. Also, Discord is useless against most Rainbow decks, because the scrambling of quanta tends to not affect them at all. This isn't even accounting for the standard ways of dealing with all weapons (Steals, Deflags, applying a status to a Voodoo Doll, etc.), so there are plenty of ways to deal with Discord (including packing more pillars if going mono).

@Grolox: 3 turns is a lot of time to deny your opponent the ability to do anything. Eternity is comparable, yes, however it also requires a ton more quanta to use, and you still take damage and they can still save cards to make it rather useless. Trident is iffy at best, and pulverizer isn't going to be denying you that hard pretty much ever. Nothing really compares to how difficult discord is to deal with, short of eternity, but that has more issues then discord does.

@GeneralAnubis: The scrambler weapon (Discord) can be annoying to deal with, but it only really buys your opponent a few turns. Because after it hits you a few times you'll have some quantum in most elements, and its affect will just scatter all of it, meaning you're just as likely to have quantum from an element you don't care about convert back over to one you do. So yeah, you are at a disadvantage for a few turns, but most unique weapons are pretty good, that's kinda the point of them. Is being hit by Discord any worse than being reverse timed every turn by an Eternity, or just directly losing creatures from an Eagle Eye? Is it any worse than not having pillars at all because your opponent has a Trident or a Pulverizer? Having your quantum be messed up isn't fun, but every Element has a unique weapon, and most of them are just as annoying to deal with as Discord.

Quantum pillar is amazing. I love this basic idea of a card that randomly gives you three mana points in any random element. Why haven't any other TCG makers used this idea? It's genius! This is the biggest upside of digital games over actual card games.

Assuming you have already syncd your account
If you have the page bookmarked and you load the game before you kog id logs in you have to refresh the page

Can't play. It doesn't recognize my Kongregate account for some reason. I'm trying to finish quests and I keep running into similar problems.

It's always nice to see an online ccg that isn't pay to win. This is one of those rare games in the genre that is dependent on strategy, skill, and a bit of luck rather than your willingness to drop hundreds of dollars on it. Easily one of my favorite games.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
not to be annojing, but there is still way more than that left, weekly tournaments for example :) and if you hate rainbows that much, just get some black holes, or any other counter, its not that hard ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@lolzors: No, arena is not all that is left. Pvp is still a very real thing with weekly tournaments, and several events such as war which is ongoing right now. Balance does matter, and is completely different in arena, hence why only dials and swallow do well in plat.

I swear I am never going to complete this quest. I've been hovering around 300 points for over 2 freakin' HOURS! There's just no way to beat a few of those rare cards (like that stinking Owl's Eye sniper bow).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Also, arena is irrelevant? Arena is all there is left!
Real-time pvp is dead, who cares if the balance is different, which it probably wouldn't be anyway.

this game is the best game (i) have played in a long time and i was around when the first Pokemon game was released in america.

@lolzorz: No. 90% of decks do NOT have quantum pillars. And mark is very indicative of the deck being used, that is why he mentioned it in the first place. The rainbows with those cards, bond, hourglasses, bonewalls, steals etc, are old control bows, which WERE amazing when the game first started. They are fun decks now, but they are NOT that good at all. They fall to pieces to anything with a good amount of speed, which is nearly everything in the current metagame. Now please, drop this, you clearly don't know what you are talking about if you think those decks are broken at all.

Dragtom: not every card, but the best tricks of most elements: rainbows can (and do) field Hourglasses with Empathic Bond, Bone Walls, Steal, creatures with poweful cross-element abilities or a good cost/power ratio,...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
rainbows do not always use entropy mark. A time mark for hourglasses, or the mark of the card's element, sometimes even aether for mindgate... You cannot tell if a deck is a rainbow by the mark; you'd need to actually fight the deck.
Also, lolzorz, many people (omegareaper included) have all/almost all cards, which means they don't always put up the same arena deck. Now, a rainbow might seem like it has access to every card, but in reality, it only has access to cheap cards. Otherwise you'd need to invest a big portion of the deck into quanta, which slows the deck down a lot.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Lolzorz That's a not true, the vast majority of arena decks are mono ur duo, not rainbows. http://www.elementsthegame.com/arena.php?rank=1&league=4 usually rainbows use entropy mark, there's only 2 entropy marks in the top 25. Not to mention the most popular and widely used decks (swallow, SoB air rush, cremation rush, pdials, mono dark) are not rainbows.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@lolzors: Arena is not any indication of what is overpowered or not, it is broken in several different ways and rainbows are the least of the problems really. Just because you think something is overpowered or used all the time, doesn't make it the case. If something is overpowered, then it would be all over in pvp, and pvp has lots of duos being run, pretty sure more then rainbows. Hell, the best plat grinders are duos/trios, same with the best god killers.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@omegareaper7 I suggest YOU look around. Rainbow decks constitute 90%+ of the arena, they are OP, and yours most probably is one, hence why you don't like to hear the truth.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@lolzorz: I would suggest you actually look around. Rainbows are not the only type of decks around by any means. Duos and monos are all over the place. Also, rainbows can't just be randomly tossed together, if they are they are terrible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is so well-balanced. Competitive decks include: rainbow decks, rainbow decks, the ever-elusive rainbow deck and I've also heard good things about rainbow decks.
Such a variety of strategies! It's not like triple quanta generation could easily overcome uncertainty of quanta distribution and allow a type of deck to use the best cards from all elements!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good game ! It would be good to get the possibility to throw away your cards and get a new hand. Because it is sometimes frustrating to get "only pillars" games, and few games later "no pillars" games.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@jooe15: Lots of games aren't random. Look at fighting games. Look at mobas, shooters. The only randomness would come from player differences.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Cacheradon You're doing something wrong. Fix your deck.
Honestly though, this game has about the least amount of RNG I've ever seen in a card game. Hell, its got less rng than MtG, and that's saying alot, considering MtG is known as one of the most skill-based ccg's out there.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@cacheradon: All card games suffer from randomness, of course this is no different. Also, the electrum used to play is completely inconsequential and makes zero impact on the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Okay, after playing some more I realized this game suffers heavily from rng. Unless I'm doing something wrong, you pretty much have to hope you don't draw all permanents or zero permanents because otherwise you can't do shit. Even if you do, you better hope you get good draws for your current situation. Even if that happens you better hope your opponent has better rng than you and all of your attacks miss because they have a shield that makes every attack have a 50% chance to miss. Sorry, too much rng for me. I don't understand how anyone can like this.
