Fourscore and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this website a new game, conceived in amazement and dedicated to the proposition that all elements are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether than nation or any game so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war... In other words, welcome to the Kong Scoreboards.

you should start off with either 1 mana for each type ( or just one of your own) automatically, or have one of the creatures in your deck in play. am i right?

There is a non working version 1.22 on facebook. Is it possible to update it and to play there with my current account?

Sorry If I came off as sarcastic Dm1321! I didn't intend it to be. I like your comments because they corrected mistakes that I'd made, and think that they are the useful ones in threads like these. However, I wrote the mini-guide for new players because I couldn't find a guide on how to start, so it would be difficult for me to plagiarize it. If there is an identical one somewhere, great! Please post the link so that new players can find it. I'm also still excited to see your 1000 character useful guide. Thanks!

No clue where to put this, but just went into a PVP with a person named roksikas3, a desynchronization error occurred, and his/her next turn his field was completely filled with dragons and I lost immediately. Da fuq.

@Quixotic -- I think you drooled a bit sarcasm. But well, let's go easy now, shall we? You did say that new players should visit the official forums for info. That is great and I agree with you. But when you proceed to comment things that are pratically stolen -- and worse, outdated -- from these tutorials without any credit, we have a problem. Your "guide" is outdated and isn't optimal. As for "I'd like you to write something more useful", 3 things. 1) I already have, 2) I usually do so in chat as well, and 3) I did it while replying to your little "tutorial". So yes, I -have- written things that are more useful, and quite more often than you. PS: I'm only one person, and I have - NOT - Voted your comment down nor up. I can't possibly have voted you down below readability. Which means others did. And that implies something is wrong with your "tutorial", that you call "useful". Hmm?!

@BlueBolter, Here buddy, The fortune list (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,26621.0.html). @QuixoticCreator, Nice avatar also try giving this link out (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,366.0.html). :)

@QuixoticCreator: It would be better to just link them to a forum post. There are dozens of guides on the forums. If you post them in comments, people don't tend to read them.

Thanks Dm1321 for the constrictive criticism! I just wanted to make a nice simple 1000 character guide with useful advice for very first time players. It seems like there is some disagreement about my weapon comment, but not about the guide? The very first sentence is that for more information you should go to the elements forums. If you think it's incorrect, I'd like you to write one that would be more useful. I, like many players didn't know basic things when I started playing like keeping decks to 30 cards unless you're using card-draw (hourglasses) or doing something weird. I also wasted time trying to kill AI4, rather than jumping to False Gods or Silver Arena, so as you've voted my comment below readability, I'd like you to replace it with your own useful guide so that new players have a chance to start out right! Thanks!

Well if we talk about weapon I say either arsenic or dagger. Anyway I'm glad you are willing to help and you ideas is not to bad. Anyway comment thread is no palce for such thing at most a link to a turtorial. When it comes to making your first deck I use to give people a rainbow to work for and then gring pvp1. And dm I know that kills creativity but when you just have played you need instead of like me grinding ai3 forever.

PS: Morning Star and Titans are pretty good in several decks as an extra or as a main. By the way, "keep your deck at 30 cards for consistency" is good, but they can build other decks to create more strategies -- Don't limit the newbie creativity, that's what you're doing. Plus, False Gods are not worth a net profit of >1000, it is only IF you win a rare card, and you don't even help them by giving them a good FG farmer deck, such as Limitless Speed. Plus, silver, to be farmed efficiently, requires an upgraded deck. I'm sorry, but I really feel you shouldn't be giving these "advices" to anyone but yourself. (I'

Further on, you are taking that straight from tutorials, which is bad for you and for the community and those that deserve credit for typing that. Pulverizer is the only one that would be any help in the long run, and even that loses to Arsenic as Poison Dial is the deck that dominates FG, Plat, PVP2, Gold, while Pulverizer would only be good in decks that fight Gold or Silver arena. Further on, "Air" isn't easy to start. Air has a complex form of utility and is often underrated in rushes un-upgraded and it would only teach newbies to build decks crowded with Dragons. Aether is also relatively slow. Darkness, Fire, EARTH, and then if you want, Aether/Life (Life has one of the fastest rushes and can teach you how to play defensively just as well as Aether, while also giving heals.) (continues..)

@Quixotic -- No. Just no. Pulverizer and Eternity will help more in the long run? Make me laugh. Maybe eternity was useful back when SG's bow worked or when Lulzy Time Bows were still around, but it is not worth it and has fallen in utility for way too long.

***Which weapon should I choose?***
The short answer is the one that helps you the most. After you can consistently kill the silver arena opponent, you will win more weapons, so that's a good goal.
***The Longer answer is that Pulverizer or Eternity are very powerful and in a vacuum are the most powerful weapons, but are very specialized. Lobotomizer might look weak, but it is very good along with Dimensional Sheilds or Hope for False Gods, PvP, and Arena. Arsenic and Vamipre Dagger are good in the Arena and PvP and are two of the most versitile weapons because of their low costs. Discord is very good, but only in very specialized decks (mostly for PvP). Owl's Eye is a good weapon in Air decks.
***Consider not picking Trident, Titan, Druidic Staff, or Morning Star. They are underwhelming.
***Good Luck!

Quick Guide for Beginners!

What element should I choose?
All elements are good, but Darkness, Aether, Fire, or Air may be easier at the start.
How should I begin?
Edit your deck. Remove junk cards and sell them off. Buy cards that look good. Consider the following:
1) Keep your deck at 30 cards to increase it's consistency.
2) Use the correct # of pillars/pendulums. This tool will help: :http://elements.alanbeam.net/qi.php
How should I play?
Your first Goal should be to consistently kill a level 3 AI opponent.
From there in my opinion your goal is Silver Arena or False Gods (level 5 AI).
False Gods require very specialized decks to win. Even with a good deck, you will loose against many gods, but the rewards are upgraded cards worth >1000.
Silver Arena is a little more friendly. You win a good amount of electrum and rare cards.
There are many viable strategies, so try it out and have fun.
