It's very well designed game but to people who don't like card games or any type of strategy i would not recommend this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it would be great if we had "a today overview", sth like: today earned *money*, today sold *# of cards*, today upped *# of cards*, sold upped cards*# of cards*

@xaved: A crusader gaining an +3/+2 can be achieved when it targets a short bow, short sword or hammer (unupped). The opponent probably had it's weapon in the weapon slot, next to the shield slot, and not on the field. For the record: Weapons can't be played on the field directly, only through the weapon slot.

Tip of the Week: If you're new and have no idea what to farm, the usual agreement is Bronze for Rares, AI3/AI4/PvP1 for score, and FG for money (If you've got the patience). Yah, super obvious..

@Bassx ah k, thanks for the info.
Another question, for whomever cares to answer: My opponent is using "Crusader", and the endow ability is giving the Crusader +3/2. However, there is no weapon on the field. How does that work? Glitch?

@xaved: I have this problem too, at least on my Macs. Today I almost own 4000 cards but when I started the game it was a lot faster in buying and selling cards. Back then I owned less than a hundred cards. I think it has also to do with the amount of cards you own. It's even longer when I buy an card that I don't own yet (just tested it). Again, this is all flash player that's causing this latency. Of course it could be "poor" programming that's the source of the problem inside flash, your choice ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Bassx: Good to know about the latency in selling cards. The question is then why would there be latency when buying a card? Everything else in the game runs smoothly. Does anyone else have this problem?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Omega, haven't you learned by now? Lack of skill on a game = the game itself is bad. That's how the internet works unfortunately.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@blutwurst: How is it pure luck when deck building and actual skill plays a large part when playing decks? Yes, it is mostly luck when it gets right down to it. But deck building plays a HUGE part.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Xyliaa: Level 1 decks does indeed has random cards but can be very powerful when luck isn't on your side. I can imagine some ways how it have killed you because the randomness can generate very powerful combos. Level 1 decks, in theory, are capable of killing every player out here.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@xaved: About your #2. You sell all your cards locally, then when you leave bazaar your (new) card collection is updated and send to the server. I'm just saying because the latency in selling cards can't be caused by the server. If you're running a Mac, there is some minor latency (about 0.2 seconds) because Flash on an Mac doesn't run as smooth as it does in Windows.

The only issue I have with this game is that the randomly generated opponents get some very over powered cards. I was playing a level 1 fight and suddenly I was set down from 50hp to zero in one of my opponent's turns because they suddenly played a plethora of powerful cards. Weapons that did a lot of damage and could not be destroyed, creatures I had never seen before that were hitting for massive amounts, shields that either always prevented me from attacking or killed my creatures.
Maybe this could be tweaked a bit? Make certain levels of AI opponents unable to get certain cards or maybe just make them have cards that only match their symbol? Not sure. It's a great game, otherwise.

It is such a shame that you cannot see what hapened in the game.
Such potential, harmed by such easily avoided flaws. Seems like that's humanity, defined.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's interesting how obnoxious deck strategies go in fads. For a while it seemed phase shield was part of a huge number of decks, now devourer seems to be it. On the flip side elements like earth seem to be underrepresented. Maybe some sort of bonus/penalty system for the most/least used cards or elements to encourage diversity would help.

Xaved sorry no such thing will be added. SImply since the developer is bussy with the next patch. However if you want to have full overview of how many cards you got use this. http://jsfiddle.net/AsLLt/18/embedded/result/
With it you can make this:

That is my card collection.

I enjoy the game. Two things that I think could be very helpful:
1) A sort button to show all cards that you have more than 6 of.
2) A graphic to go along with purchasing/selling a card. Sometimes it takes the server a few seconds to respond, and I don't play with sound so I can't hear if it actually clicked, and end up double buying/selling something.

No more fooling around. I'll start posting a random "Tip of the Week" every week. Because why not? They'll almost always be something obvious, but if you're a newbie maybe you'll get something out of it. Now then... Tip of the Week: If you don't have a fully upgraded FG farming deck, you can still beat them - Look at the FG the oracle has given you for the day and visit this board - http://elementscommunity.org/forum/strategy/ . In each of the sections there's a topic named "Oracle: (FG name)". There are tons of counters, including un-upped and rareless ones. Easy way to gain some ups and quick cash.

@sinlike: As an developer myself, I would say it's an developer's choice. The possible "hack" situation can of course be worked out, just adding a back reference to the creature and undo the turn played as giving back the ability costs to the quanta pool. So an mutant or creature with free abilities will work too. To me your question isn't that strange and won't be that hard to realize.. At least it won't change anything to the game play so it won't harm anyone. Send it to zanzarino's suggestion box and see if they will add it :)

I would like to lodge a complaint. Every time I get close to getting a high rating, I only draw pillars for the next 6-7 games. Is this a glitch?

Well, Rock, as the pope once said: "We are taking this journey to take back the holy city and regain our pride and religious rights, but first and foremost burn the heretics who haven't played Elements the Game."
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dm that should totally be a fortune cookie. Well, until someone who doesn't play this game gets it and just stares blankly at the paper, having repeated aneurysms.

My day has been long and arduous, but at times like this I take joy in the fact that there is an old bald man willing to give me nymphs in this rainy day. "I may have no job and no social life, but damn am I glad Elements the Game is still up and running."

@desciclope666: Drawing has little to do with what entropy does. Drawing is a mechanic of the game, only 1 card per. What entropy does is cause chaos and discord, see pandemonium and discord. Not to mention mutation and the scientific creatures.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@descicloper666: Entropy is not just about death and life, it is about the chaos and disorder in the universe as a whole.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sinlike yeah it's unfortunate but it has been proved that it's easy to abuse and hack that and gain endless of quanta and thats hwy you don't quanta.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Suggestion: if I activate an ability on the battlefield (ex: nymph's tears on my blue nymph), but choose to cancel, I should not have to lose the quanta just because I changed my mind.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@unspeakablenoise: on general you need 30 - 40% of pillars/towers, depending on your consumption needs; if you dont get them it means you dont have enough
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I might be terrible at this game, but the randomness of the card draw is killin' me... how are folks dealing with this? Twice now I've gone without drawing a single pillar of my mark in 7 or 8 turns (and I have 12 of them in my hand!).
