rpnexplorer: No! We did not jack the game. One of the “we” happens to be the person who created the Japanese version. Obviously!

oh, and if you build samurai's only, don't forget to get magnetic field in all your newly acquired parts, because you will need the green giants for a nasty surprise lateron in the game...

I recommend starting in Shimane and get a set (5) of Gladiators, Archers, Defenders, Knights, and Ninjas. If you buy the Gladiators, then the Archers, then the Defenders, then Knights it should be day 11 or 12 then take over the area below you and then your on your own.

Tip start in a solo cornernerd island wich has 1 way out. Build a army if you win you start filling BOTH island attack with 1 and reinforce with other :)
Good to beat just about anything i preferd uping unit types those pike men at start are realy superior to most attackers

boxdude10, the units are grey after an attack, after you have created them and after you have have moved 'em. I guess they're just too tired to move ;)

Add different difficulty modes, maybe different play modes (perhaps one where there's just two/three players with the provinces randomly split between them?) and you've got yourself a good game. Also, give us the option to scroll with the keyboard, or a nicer way to do it with the mouse.

Game itself is nice, but there is no difficulty.. also I'm missing an auto-save feature.. just closed the game by accident -_-

Is it too easy or thats just me? I control 20 prefectures and it has been very easy so far.. oh and the comp players never attack me and they rarely attack each other.

In desperate need of gradually increasing difficulty. The game starts off hard and without a clue as to the best course of action.

Sound concept and smooth gameplay. It could use colors that are not so bright as to make the playing board look like a badly designed stain glass window. Also, I hate that I always have to confirm every button I press. There should be a shortcut to select the entire army to attack a particular prefecture. I also dislike that my armies are defaulted to holding, while its good idea, it actually leaves your guys prone to attack (early game) if you don't tell them to 'will' quickly. One last thing is consider making it multi-player or at least two player. Great game overall!

Tip: cheaper Knight units can beat Samurai and other troops by rushing forward (will) then dropping back over and over, slowly, to the back wall. Toggling the will/hold button allows control of your knights so you can use their extra attack range to do damage without being hit. The *Freeze* special lets you pass through enemy lines so you can pull the same trick in the other direction once your back is to the wall.

This game is obviously a fan version of the PlayStation 2 games Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. There is still a lot more to do to make the game match up to the quality mechanics wise. Good start though.
