I had a lot of fun with this game. Eventually, it became pretty easy (mass produce samurais and take out everything), but for the first half, deciding what unit to build against a certain army was fun. However, the second half of the game was a bit mindless, including the last series of fights. The overall look of the game worked surprisingly well. When I first started playing I thought it was going to be a totally different game, solely judging by the units, but that came to pass quickly. I can see a worse game try and use better graphics for units, but this one held up very nicely. I found the time limit a bit frustrating at time, but that was few and far between. 5/5

I love this game. Its a little difficult starting off but it gets alot easier. My advice would be to go with the Hokkaido prefecture.

archers seem to be more or less pointless. enemy melee fighters just walk past my melee fighters and kill the archers. yet my melee fighters won't do that. even if i set them to will.

ok, read instructions and get the game, really good only thing ruining the game is lagging making me have to wait for a long time... during fights that often makes me lose since i never get to make them attack at will.

Aw, heck yes. I deliberately strung out the game to build an army of 25 giants. Turns out they're unbeatable - but not always fast enough to conquer. :P

was able to kill the end boss with 3 full groups of samuris. Use hold and attack to move. 1 group to take out the grey stars, another group to take out the shooter guys, then the 3rd group to take out the boss. Freeze comes in handy that game. but it was still close.

shing, read the instructions, ya need to let them do things by 1. pressing the hold and setting them on attack on will, 2. slide the hold left and right and moving them to the enemy

nice! graphics are a little childish, my 7 year old nephew could draw better ones although good work. you can chose between various strategies involving various soldiers, "upgrades" and territories. 4/5

I agree with Mordredo that yes its okay having all the different people you do have but it would add just a little something extra if you took the time even just to keep their names within the idea of the game...
as for the extra alien like creatures... i understand why you have done this because all off a sudden it starts to matter quite a bit what you purchased earlier and overcomes the idea of previous purchases being pointless... however whilst it does add that little bit of difficulty and a little suprise for some reason it just seem to detract from the experience a bit... i dont know what exactly but it did.

Good at first, but gets boring after a while.
Still deserves badges though. 5/5 for the idea. 2/5 for re-playability.
4/5 overall.

Sneakdog,if you get the barracks in hottiari or something immidiantly, you can spam knights and once you have about a full group of knights [send the 3 gladiators you start out with on a suicide misson] you can conquer amaori.

I wish i could scroll the map with WASD or the arrow keys. Also I have twice as many troops...yet somehow they still have more troops when we fight and I still lose.

RULE ONE: Use strategies they save lives RULE TWO: Use "will" in battle if you have better forces and the enemy doesnt have strategy, use hold and drag the hold button to control where your warriors go, great for charging down ranged units or strategy RULE THREE: NEVER leave a territory without defenses, it WILL get you killed EASIEST REGION STARTERS: Northernmost region or aomori, having more money is great, and having undead defend your land is too.

I played this game for 3 rounds, all with differnet countries
Every time, I died in 2 turns.
I try to attack something while i have superior forces (i have 8 gladiators, they have 3) my guys fought them, they didn't die, instead, they got full health back and killed all my gladiators in row, then the next turn they captured me.
