super fun, i like the surprize at the end but only prob was i had all of my big army bunched up so i had 2 spend all my money on new armies

My favourite army is 5 green giants and 20 snipers :) Its pretty much impossible to even lose 1 troop because of the big green wall

not much strategy required until you get to the mystery islands. just use knight til you get there then use 2 armies of samurais and 1 of green giants and you beat the boss. easy game to beat just takes time. 3/5

the end-game difficulty curve is way too much compared to the rest of the game... the game is great, would would be superb if you managed to teach the player about better army matchups

You know.. this game would be REALLY fun if the graphics were just a teensy bit better, and maybe a little bit more in-depth. But I still give it a 4/5. Awesome game!

when the organisms came i lost one of my army thingies, and can't make samurai anymore. but then I learned that wizards completely destroy the organisms...

no matter what, the BEST possible army is 25 green giants with the speed increase spell. except on levels that have bogs

replacing the greek gods with shito gods or bhuddist stuff would be a good call maybe instead of zues, u could summon Izangi or bhudda, instead of hades, Izanami or an Asura ect.

Wow, nice, pretty long too. I BEAT THE GAME, WOO! Even the part with the organism thingies! Gah, so tired; took me a few hours to beat... Anyway, on to the rating. Nice game, I appreciate the length and difficulty, but some things could be better such as: samurai's, they are a bit too powerful. I took down many prefectures with a whole samurai army. Also, why the mysterious islands? Is it part of japan's religious belief? Culture? I appreciate it as a hefty hard boss level, but still, you're sitting there, you took over Japan, and all of a sudden BOOM. Four mysterious islands with weird creatures. I agree with sky_guy, the building should be able to move, perhaps at a cost, or whatnot. Anyway, great game, keep up the good work!!

ONe of the best games on kongregate. I beat it preety easy but it was really fun. I had so much money at the end i decided to buy gladiators for my whole land. No one will every take over my land muahahahahaha

army of full ninjas makes the game very easy. all of the slow melee units are bad due to their AI. ranged units get torn up by the computer's good AI. ninjas just tear up everything.

all you really need is to get soldier lab on your first 3 areas, then either mass ninja/knight combos or archer/defender combos with defenders holding a line right infront of archer. then get 1 strat lab and try to take continent so that you will have one of yuors surrounded by others of yours so you don't need to defend it.

good combo: large army of skeletons and hades prayer which turns all dead units into skeletons. Just wait till most of your skeletons are dead, then revieve them all for a second wave

It just takes too long, but a great risk variant.
The buildings should be exchangeable, but for a cost, perhaps each one should cost 100gold regardless.

IF YOU WANT TO BEAT THE GAME IN ITS ENTIRETY, you need to read a walkthrough first. The surprise ending means it'll take FOREVER to win unless you set up your strategy appropriately for what's coming. Sadly, this was a great game but I won't end up finishing it due to this issue. (Conquering the island is not the end.)
