if there is ever a chance that thte enemy has green giants u need to get nigas as long rane and thatn get like 5 anything fast to distract the green giants it is better that using ur own green giants

final boss, you just have to go in with your first 25 sams and kill as many as possible before he starts reviving and retreat, repeat with second force, and finish him with your third force when he has only the boss and a couple weaklings left so you clear it of the defenders and the lightning guys

It was OK. Fun for a while but pretty repetitive. The strategy element of positioning troops and telling them how to act was wonderfully done. Simple yet pretty powerful. I just wish I could specifically tell all shield carriers which way to look, they become pretty useless seeing how it's no problem for the enemy to break through their line which then turns them around and shows enemy archers their squishy side. 4/5

spent 2 hrs building green giants. wanted to clear much of last island before i sent them, and my second wave of 5x sniper 20 Sams killed the boss after i casted Zues. go figure.
Game is too repetitive, Map Scrolling feature is cumbersome, no ability to delete, recycle, or kill units. 2/5

best tactic ever, 10 defenders wth 15 knights behind them dealing the damage, i destroyed a force made up of samurais and ninjas ETC.

Managed to beat the game, including the extra islands, it's very good and fun to play, although it does get a bit repetitive.

all read this and copy this,
dont end when you think: well i own almost all the prefectures, now I quit, cause when you own em all, the game continues !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5/5 very addicting, and cool

Loved it, wierd when the 4 other islands appeared. I stopped then. :) The basis of the game is a good idea. The simplicity of the graphics is a welcome relief from other games. Some things seemed really out of place though. Like the sniper... all the other are period fighters but the sniper is out of place. Maybe make it a longbow archer or a catapult. You could make it a lot more fun and harder if you make it so you can have a Fortress and you spread out from there. The gods are not Roman they are Greek. I started in one of the places where you get 3 skeletons a day and put a graveyard so i was getting 5 skeletons a day. THE UNDEAD HORDES OF AOMORI!

Mystery Islands are SO FREAKING HARD!!!!!!!!!! But, I loved it!!! And I beat it, used Aomori, now for the rest of the beginning places! 5/5
@Majin That happened to me, too. I accidently refreshed without saving so I knew where the ??? would attack me. I built samurai armies there and killed them off.

i used 21 green giants with 4 meds. to heal them on the boss and when the match starts use the wind gods power to speed them up

3 islands around the boss island 2 full of samurias with hospitals 1 with as many giants as you can make maybe 10-12 and the rest samurais send in your samurias and take out most of the enemys
then send in your 3rd island with sams and giants and when the giants have surrounded boss use strentgh bonus thing

Fun game! better graphics would make it better, but it has a great concept. Balancing the national bonuses would be good too. Also units that can only be built by region would make the game more interesting.

5/5 great game, I love this type and I also loved the twist at the end with the mystery island (I fully beat the game). Also people who say the mystery island people are to hard i disagree, I think they were a good difficulty excluding the fact that the big green circle guy at the end has slightly too much health.

its quite cool. i gotta remember next time, to build some additional soldier labs in die middle of japan. cause the ???'s just ran over my hinterlands and i had nothing but gkladiators left to die miserably ^^

@knight: To counter your appropriate usage of Sengoku, I offer to you this word: Tokusatsu.
Seriously, the whole game reeks of "WHAM!" "ZAP!" and "RATTA-TATTA!", and it's all cheesily made, so it'd probably fall into the category of "silly Japanese game."
On that note, though, I find the game to be pretty epic feeling. I particularly enjoyed the struggling pace... Started out a weak little prefecture, midway along I ruled the entirety of Japan, and then I nearly lost to the invasion of ???s. :)

by an early look-up, would be nice to put in another map-scrolling system, like pushing the edges with mouse a/o arrows keys for moving the view
