I like this game a lot, but I feel kind of jipped. I feel punished simply for my OCD, collect-everything gaming habits. It's not my fault Zelda and Metroid taught me to collect ALL the power-ups (and scan every single object in sight with my visor)! It's not my fault Pokemon told me I gotta catch 'em ALL! If I'm not supposed to collect everything, tell me so before I have the ability to do it! The only hint I got was a guy asking: "Why are you looking for gems? Do you even know?" My answer was: "Cuz this is a game and I'm OCD about exploring everywhere and collecting everything. DUH!"

Games like this keep me coming back here. It shows that with creativity and hard work you can make something really entertaining. Kudos for the author.

I beat the game without killing any creatures. Had to collect a lot of endurance fruits, though. got 0 of the gems that help MALOR, abandoned the Fruit of Life where it sits, and took the Sword to MALOR's ray of light.

The atmosphere and sense of growth (both in-game and personally) at the end of this game is astounding. The music really adds to the atmosphere, too; I feel like I could leave the temple music on and just meditate on the game's underlying philosophical messages for a while. Simple, but still a very striking game, start to finish.

I've played enough games where dead god have tried to trick me into resurrecting them, because of that I was able to avoid "him" and make out on my own without his crumby help. Great game overall.

to kill someone, you have to get the lightning powerup in the jungle. holding Z near people will elecrocute them and they start fading. when they disappear, they drop a soul which gives endurance

"At the cost of 26 lives, you have become the evil under the mountain"
Considering most of them were jerks I'm perfectly ok with this.

@ HybridVitae before you reach the rock hold your parachute and get out of the beam still on the parachute. It should force you up with like a gust of wind or something. That's how i did it.

ok, thank you Mirage for explaining the snow tiger isnt reachable. I feel better about that. This game was a nice distracton :) But I really don't want to do the whole thing over again... can someone tell me about the guy at the top of the yellow beam? It says at the bottom, hold up to rise. Then the message comes back when you get all the way to the top... but you don't go up. You hit the rock under the guy teasing you with no way to reach him...?

"Here is the Fruit of Youth. With it, you will not lose Endurance, but do you really want it?" Well, I guess it would ruin 1/2 of this game's point so... HECK YEAH!!!!

"I've taken 19 lives... I belong down here..."
...Dude, most of them were either animals, morons, or people who were mean to you. Totally worth it.

You know, I'd love it if a commercial game development company made a game with graphics similar to Endeavor, and put some of the effort it takes to make a TES game into making a ridiculous amount of content for it. Each endurance fruit could be the prize of an epic multi-hour temple in a huge world, there could be a long, vast adventuring plot and pixely bosses, and tons and tons of alternate routes / solutions, encounters, puzzles, quests, areas and enemies because the graphics would be easier to churn out. Basically sacrificing graphics and a fancy game engine for extreme content and multi-pathedness.

This is a great game, 5/5 . You usually don't find a lot of pixel games with a story line like this. I love how there is still infliction at the end of the story. genius game. Bravo Zillix. You are truly a great game maker.

All-Time Top 100 scores in the game touched 376 flowers. Then you have player that managed to touch over 400 and almost 800 flowers....I'd like to see someone try to defend the "merits" of hacking.

@iDeal96n, One of the othere ways of getting up will allow you to reach that platform. You can also propel yourself there using the light. The inhabitant will be confused.

What's up with the platform in the first zone? If you help the evil and go up with the light, you will crush into a platform. It has a flower and I think a NPC on it, but I can't reach it. Anyway, 4/5 and fav. Simple, easy, not too complicated and fun. :)

I though this was an awesome game. Although I thought I was helping a good until the end of the game. So I thought "Awww nooo!I helped a bad guy! time to slay him!" then the achievement popped up for completing game and I thought "Good game."
