@del41438966_8577: to see the developer's high scores, click on your stars count on the bottom right (it's a "View stats" button), then hover over a level bubble to check the five stats.
@AznDudeIsOn: it depends on the time you've spent. The first time I've played Beam Ball, reaching 3k was indeed way more difficult than reaching 120 stars. However, now that I'm hooked, scoring 3k points feels like a breeze but I still struggle to get the third star on a couple of levels. ;-)

if anyone is having trouble with dark mode level 12, try turning off flashing lights and orbit the red ball around where the two blue lights intersect in the middle. The blue ball will be on the opposite side of the oval.

This is a great game. Easy to grasp, but with enough variety to be hard. This is one of my favorites by far. One thing I'd add: something showing us what the developer's high scores are, for a couple of reasons. 1) One of the high score catagories is the number of develpoer scores we beat, and I'd like to know how far away I am from that. The other reason is because...bragging rights.

note to self/others: if dev score's beaten by like 10 or 20, go work on other lvls to get to the 3k (view stats/dev scores in lower right hand corner in the lvl menus, if you forgot) exceptions include: light world lvls 1-6, 8, 9, 11-14 (and maybe 15?)

Simple yet great game, it's addictive, but also mildly enraging; I will keep coming back until I get the impossible badge, as I did for amorphous+, three years well wasted.

There should be a setting/button where, if you've 3-starred a level, you can start at the 3 star amount of points/speed, or after 1/2 lines, it speeds up to 3-tar difficulty.

@neurofreak: in D18, the colors swap randomly when you hit a beam with the ball under the mouse cursor and they always swap when you clear a line with the other one.

Just for the guys thinking about going for the impossible. I just cleared 120 stars and my total score is 2285. So 715 to make up...

After around 12 hours of playtime, I've finally obtained the Beamball 3000 impossible badge as officially my 1,000th badge on Kongregate. This was definitely an adventure through one of the most addictive yet fun challenger games that I've ever played, all in the simplest way. This really is a uniquely amazing game, and I wish all the good luck to anyone else who tries to achieve this very satisfying achievement.
GG, Beam Ball.

Got the impossible badge. Managed to get 110 in Dark world Busta Line and 153 in Light Chromatic Scale. ~11 hours, as I lost my progress half way through. Good luck to anyone who wants this; it's a really fun challenge.

Dark world's stutter makes me wonder how a line can move towards me and simultaneously go purple the very microsecond it touches me, causing a premature loss

Finally got the impossible badge. This was a great deal of fun to play, even when aiming for the frustratingly difficult high score of 3000. Light (90+): 1= 119, 2= 100, 3 = 106, 5 = 113, 6 = 126, 11= 102, 12= 128, 13 = 130, 14 = 100, 16 = 95. Dark (75+): 8 = 89, 9 = 89, 11 = 95, 12 = 98, 19 = 78. A little under 11 hours, 1326 deaths and 43k beams cleared.

120 w/ ~2100. Not if but when. You get better w/ time and sometimes lucky. 30 hours and 104k beams and 4k deaths later finally done. Over When I'd take a break, I'd do the levels casually, one at a time. Sometimes I'd beat a score on a level that is less popular, because every little bit helps and slowly things would move up. The 100+ levels I found often daunting and I'd get nervous so I just did my best and once I reached my old record I'd try to concentrate and hang in there as long as I could and a few times it paid off. Light scores (90+): 1=116, 2= 93, 3=119, 4= 90, 5=132, 6=124, 8=102, 12=116, 13=99, 15=90 Dark (75+): 6=75, 8=86, 9=81, 12=136, 14=75, 19=84
Take your time lol It's sadistic but lovely at the same time.
