When I try to combine dust and earth, the game gets stuck saying "Checking reactions on community server, please wait..." and never finishes.

You don't want to make the game too easy, but at the moment it gets frustrating... How about a compromise: after you've selected the first element, grey out elements which you've already tried to combine it with. Blindly trying everything still takes forever, but at least you don't keep trying the same combinations over and over again. (Oh, and after a successful reaction, please remember which groups I was working with; having to find and reselect them every single time gets boring rather quickly.)

It gets to the point where you do nothing except wait for the hint

Perhaps to keep elements to a minimum, either "grey" out used elements that are no longer needed for later game-play, or a put a number next to the element to show how many more times its needed for use....this will eliminate pointless clicking and the creation of elements that you already have...

The main problem with this series is we need to understand how the game's creator thinks. Some of the obscure ones are almost unguessable, especially as the new ones are so strangely grouped - I'm looking at the science category in particular. The more items you create the harder it gets to find the right combination - perhaps there should be a way to find out that one item has no more combinations?
