when you find the shovel, sell it to a shop for 250 gold and then go talk to the lady to get the quest reward. you can get both if u sell it first :D

Best bug evar. I loaded during the final boss fight (because I thought I was going to die), and when it loaded I was fighting 5 snakes. I killed them no problem and it gave me the ending!
