Even without the SuperNova extension, you should still be able to allow Flash to run. Click on the lock at the left of a game URL, switch "ask (default)" to "allow", then refresh.

Yep. It's allowing me to activate the Flash thing still. And when it stops for good, I'll just switch over to Pale Moon. They're still running Flash and Java and don't plan to dump/stop either one. In fact, I just tested a Flash game using Pale Moon, and it loaded right up. It didn't ask me to give permission to activate Flash or anything. It just ran it like normal.

Kongregate no longer has many reasons to be played instead of other popular game websites. Especially now that they aren't accepting new games.
Plus, a huge part of the flash community has moved to steam (developers and coustomers), due to it having more capabilitys.
But I'm sure everyone knows this stuff.

Oh never mind, apparently in my Chrome settings for Flash I can still set it to "ask first" instead of just "block", but the switch is labeled in such a way that I thought using that switch would block Flash. That's just objectively poor design.
At least I can play again.

Firefox has now completely blocked Flash as of this morning. So I swtiched over to Pale Moon for gaming now. It's sad that the majority of these browser companies won't allow the USER to decide for themselves whether or not to continue keeping Flash activated, but whatever, there are other options out there, thankfully.

This website was a part of my childhood. I played TDP4, Ballistic, Contract Wars, & Shellshock Live. I scammed people, they scammed me. I had fun trolling certain people on here. Sad to see this website go.

End of an era for sure. I discovered room escape games and TD games on Kong. Lost various old accounts over the years but always turned up again when someone mentioned Bloonz, Gotmail or Murloc. I would imagine that someone somewhere will figure out a way to revive Flash games down the line somewhere. I still play games of the last 40 years on emulators, I can imagine a Flash revival some day. We'll have to wait and see.
Take care Kong-Peeps, see you on the flip side ;)

Oh wow. Such sad news. I've been on this site for quite a while. Had a lot of fun playing these flash games after school/when bored. R.I.P. Kong

Kongregate in its old form has signed its own death certificate. They can only shed users, not gain, since there are no new games. I don't know if they're working frantically behind the scenes to get something else and completely fresh set up. If they don't come up with something new and better within the next 6 or so months, it'll be permanently game over. The only people who still remain are those playing one or the other mmo game and in the most popular of those games, things are mostly focused on mobile, so half of those users aren't using the website at all, while the ones that were/are using the website are leaving and leaving and leaving... Itch.io is a half-decent replacement, but it's much harder to find the good games on there.

It's not the administration, it's the MTG. The Staff of Kongregate didn't even know that this was coming.

> Certain non-gaming forums (Off Topic, Serious Discussion, The Arts, and Forum Games) will be removed from the site.
> Most other forums will be moved to a read-only state in which administrators can make announcements but players will not be able to post. This will not affect the forums for Animation Throwdown, Bit Heroes and other Kongregate-created games.

Maybe if the person had actually done some research on their own before asking (as in, looking at the posted threads ABOVE the section where you post to comment instead of scrolling past it without looking) I would be more willing to help, instead of being lazy and expecting others to do their work for them... Before I ask a question, I look at all the thread titles on the page up to three pages in. It's not that difficult.

He even said please. You gotta help the newfigs out. Your attitude is only helping turn people away from this site. If your neighbor came by and asked a question would you just say "Gee, maybe try Googling the question, which has been answered before. ^sigh^"
