Still works in FF 83. But yeah, there are variants you can use. The wonders of open source and shit...

thats what will happen, im afraid.
they should've crafted a viable solution in order to make their games playable (such as an external program, such as a ''kongregate player'' or something...
but they didnt planned to do such a thing, and they will let this place to fade away.
its sad, really.

I've been a member since Jan. 31, 2009 and I never played Mob Wars. Not even once. But I played a lot of other great games and I'll forever remember Nerdook. I'm going to miss Kong.

They've been shilling mobile P2W games for a long time now...

Firefox 84 is the last one to support it, but we know Flash won't run past January. Like Adobe built in a killswitch into Flash. "disabling for your safety" Maybe Supernova will works, but nothing official.

Im not sure why they would not contine the chat and MMO hosting - flash is ending? Oh, no- ANYWAYS enable a 3rd party player that plays flash content. The underlying code is public domain since the Sun Microsystems debacle, so its not like Adobe can legally effectively stop people from utilizing flash content after its sunset anyhow. They can bitch and complain, but ultimately the underpinned code IP is public domain.
Maintaining the site as a library and allowing new developers who self service their content would seem a no brainer and take next to no staff anyhow. Maybe they dont need a room full of people anymore, but it would seem easy to run the site in some capacity that could turn a profit.
Of course, the trope: "Were moving in line with the direction the gaming industry is going" Could also mean a lobby against games that dont have microtransactions and loot crates want to remove a lot of the fun games developers like Armor, Barbarian and co have put out, too, and killing libraries like Kongregate has built up would go a ways towards that. Remove the alternatives so gamers are forced to these platforms via removal of choice.

I'm going to miss Kong. I've been a member for many years, and have played *so many* fun games on this site. Thank you for all the good memories.
Saying goodbye to my favourites, in case I can't play them going forward.

Farewell Kongregate, I played some games like TDP4 back in 2012-2013 and that was pretty cool. But Adobe is dead now and we have to look forward so good bye.

No. What they're saying is that if you're going to continue to use Firefox and Chrome, you may need to download some sort of player thing which is supposed to allow you to continue playing Flash games because these two browsers are disabling Flash. You can always download a browser which will still support Flash, and you won't need to download additional stuff. Sorry, I'm not a technical person, so I don't know all the tech jargon.

I've been a member since Nov. 03, 2013. It's really sad to see great sites like this go, but I fear we are reaching the end of the era of free games. Make sure to save your Kongpanions and badges if you're the sentimental type like me. You can right-click on a website page and save the html code to your computer. Farewell all, it was a good run. Kongregate, you will be missed, and always will have a place in my heart.

According to https://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/1873379-supernova-player#posts-13559175 they don't have SuperNova working on Kong yet, so that might be the issue. Shame about them not having it up with so much warning that Flash was getting pulled and so many recommendations to uninstall it though.

> Newgrounds has released its own Flash Player for Windows that safely loads content from its website, so you still get the full experience of using Newgrounds proper. Wired’s Cecilia D’Anastasio notes that Newgrounds received a license from Adobe to distribute this particular version of Flash Player even after the end-of-life date.

I was playing games on this site 13 years ago, when it was just getting started. Out of all the terrible things that came out of 2020, this is just another slap in the face. It's been part of my daily routine for a long time, and I will miss it.

It sucks man. I've been here since 2017 and this site has been home to some of my favourite games. Its sad to see it die like it has. At least we have a way now to play flash games so we can still play our favourite flash games. I'm starting to wonder if this site will last beyond 2021.

If they don't find a way to embed the Supernova player into the game window, then no, I don't see this site continuing because achievements can't be earned anymore, and badges won't get awarded unless you earned them before Adobe killed Flash.
