You may be right. The data is specified in PST, but looks like the Date functions automatically convert to your local time.

I believe the badges/month have been down for a couple months and are trending downwards – as though Kong is placing less emphasis on badges. I think lately it’s been around 25-30 badges per month, while in previous months, it’s been 40-45 badges per month.

The [overall trend](http://zalbee.intricus.net/kong/graph.php) seems to be roughly a straight line. But in the past 28 days, Kong only released 25 badges, which is lower than the expected 31 badges (based on average of 1.1 badges/day). You may have noticed that.

Well, what do you know? The data does support it! Looks like there’s been a downward trend in badges in recent months.

yeah, that’s what i thought :) i did some more numbers… i dunno if tables work here, so i’ll just put a picture up. I loosely grabbed the numbers from your page, zAlbee.

Lots of badges last year, which was the highest year by far (+33% over any other year). Few this year compared to last year. I’d be curious to know what Greg/Raw’s thoughts on this are.

Well, this is an outrage! There’s more games than ever, but _less_ badges? How could GregisMojo let this happen?
By the way the graphs are pure. awesome. zAlbee, thank you.

I also have a graph of the badge progress by month on the badge spreadsheet here:

Very interesting graphs! I can’t believe that I have earned **0** badges at 5a.m and 6a.m. Thanks for telling me that(really! :D) and I might try to achieve a few during that period of time, just to get rid of the zeros!

Really cool script. You should consider speaking to the Badge Master creator about adding it to that.

This was awesome, it seems to have broken!
Has the api changed?

Edit: Okay doesn’t work on Vista, and some vs’s either.

This was broken for Chrome and IE users due to [http://www.kongregate.com/forums/90-kongregate-apis/topics/448777-bug-jsonp-rest-api-broken-due-to-incorrect-content-type-headers-and-strict-mime-checking](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/90-kongregate-apis/topics/448777-bug-jsonp-rest-api-broken-due-to-incorrect-content-type-headers-and-strict-mime-checking)
I have fixed it now by re-instating the caching layer. As an added bonus, I found this shaves off about 400-500 ms of loading time when cached.

Reached a bandwidth limit? I can’t get on your site D:

Yes, I had a problem with spambots flooding my site and using up my bandwidth. I also recently changed hosts (for an unrelated reason) to one that happens to have a lower monthly bandwidth limit. The issue should be resolved for now, but I’m keeping an eye on it.

I don’t think it’s working right…..

It says I have a higher badge/point count than what I actually have, and it starts at ’08 when I first joined kong in ’09

You’re right, there is a bug with my caching layer causing some users to see the cached badge data for a different user. I’ve cleared the cache for now.
Edit: I fixed the code and it shouldn’t happen again.
