I did, got the badge, and did not get the Kongpanion. People look for this thread to determine status.

There is no Kongpanion right now. But you can still get the BOTD so that if/when they restore the Kongpanion, you'll receive credit for the days you participated.

I was able to get an update from the admins. It was a miss (there are still more Kongpanions). However, it will likly be tomorrow at the earliest before they are able to set one up. If you have the BotD today, it WILL count as one of your 5 needed for the week, however you will need to at least earn one BotD once the Kongpanion is released before it will be initially awareded. This is the same thing that happened a few weeks ago when the Kongpanion was set up on Tuesday. Some (that hadn't gotten the BotD yet on Tuesday) got the Kongpanion on Tuesday. Others (that did get the BotD) had to wait until they earned Wednesday or Thursday's BotD before it showed up. However, Monday at Tuesday's badges counted toward Shiney progress.
I hope this puts people at ease.

You see... you say that. What if it was due to someone getting COVID? Or impacted by the severe storms that hit the US last week? Perhaps it is something more mundane but still some scenario where someone is sick or hurt or unable to work.
We all know that the number of admins is greatly reduced. I am sure that there are strong feelings about this decision, however the fact remains that there are only a few people that are around to perform this config. I just hope the reason that there was no Kongpanion today was someone simply forgot and was too busy to get to it today, and it wasn't something more serious.

There wasn't an issue with earning the BotD on Monday. There was only an issue with the Kongpanion not being configured (so when you got the BotD, you didn't get the Kongpanion). There was not a need to retroactivly grant any BotD.

Another Kongpanion failed to go live on schedule. Is this what we can expect going forward? If the site is completely deprecated, it'd be great if you passed recurring operations like this to fans who will keep it going.

Honestly now, if this is REALLY how this is going forward is there even a point? They can't/won't fix the badge selection. Blocks are as useless as points and levels. What we could have used points on, Stickers, are useless since they removed chat for the most part. Kongpanious were meant to be included in games, of which only a handful were ever released in the 7 years this little experiment has run. And now it fees like it ran its course.
Kongregate made several decisions towards the end of flash and they should follow through with them. Shut down this side of the business, move operations to Kartridge, and become a publisher/developer on Mobile. Let Armor, NG, everywhere else carry on the legacy.

If this is how it's going to be, they honestly should just shut it off. Once again the BotD is not displaying, and even when it's found and completed it's not being awarded. I mean this is just an ugly way to die. At least shutting it off on purpose would be a dignified end.

And, it's now MARCH and they're still using Flash games which require hand awarding completed badges! Which means unless I have five completed badges already, I'm not going to get the shiny Kongpanion because I have to wait for today's badge to get awarded. This is getting ridiculous. We were told/promised that Flash games weren't going to be used anymore, but here we are, TWO MONTHS out from the announcement, and Flash games are still being included for the BOTD.

Yeah I'm happy to delay the konpanians until they have non-flash games as BotDs. But you can't trust Kong on this and as usual, it'll be here Weds.
