Well, not *just* like Tonks. Because he's not dead. Also he is real.

Just an FYI... the only 'real' Kongpanion is Donks. He exists in all planes at all times.

> This was one of my favorite Kongpanion discussions! Some of the things you all picked up on were amazing. The Kongpanions get set up ahead of time, so we'll be in IAmTheCandyman coordinated Kongpanions for awhile. I'll have to see if he left notes on the timing of Caroll, but the timing on Grouch day may well have been intentional. I don't know if anyone figured out why we picked the name Caroll yet.
If it's after Caroll Spinney, and you spelled correctly or corectly in your post with one r, it's spelled on the kongpanion with 2 rrs.
I thought it might have something to do with Carross or Rick.

Oscar the Grouch's puppeteer, no? Thought it was with 2 r's.
...after researching, it's indeed with 1 r. Good catch, Germ

I am exited to see the real kongpanion.
I wonder why it is upside down? Must feel pretty hot! :)

Stop holding that candle upside down, Jo. You could get wax burns.

Oooooo, something to do with energy and light... There's Daylight Savings ending, which might have to do with us getting closer to the darkness, needing a lit area to work in. Shabbat might be a bit of a stretch (where candles are lit and things like electricity get shut down/off), but it's a possibility. The ending of Sukkot, which is Jewish as well, could work. Honestly, if it does turn out to be a candle weirdly positioned, it'd make sense. Don't think sports is a possibility. Honestly, I'll stick with my first inkling of Shabbat, though it's probably wrong as usual.

Would they try to fool people by having the candlestick upside down?
I mean, what else could it be. Try to guess the name... Kendall.

>Would they try to fool people by having the candlestick upside down?
It might possibly be a Castlevania reference if it is indeed an upside down candle. There's the upside down castle for the second half of the game, and everything is upside down (or possibly everything is completely upright and the protagonist, and the forces of evil, and gravity are the only upside down things in an otherwise right side up castle) and I do believe the candles are also upside down. It is close to All Hallows Eve and Castlevania is filled to the brim with spooky monsters.
But then again, this weeks Kongpanion did leave out the flies in the preview silhouette, so the preview aren't always accurate and it could indeed be trying to fool people.
____
Well since the upside down candle is a pretty popular guess as of now, I'll go guess something different. It's a fire hydrant with pressured water at the bottom propeling it up like a rocket (something like FLUDD from Mario Sunshine), and it's also got a pirate eyepatch and there's a hook attached to it since it's pirate fire hydrant.

Oh, but she's kinky that way.
Rather curious if there'll be a Shift series' badge for one of the days if it really is simply upside down?

On similar lines, but the right side up, I'll take a guess at some sort of lantern or torch, perhaps hanging from a nonexistant wall.

Is a wall lamp, the right side is the hanger.

You guys are insane, It's clearly Jones, The bearded floating pirate skeleton head.

That dangling bit off to the right is his bandana, Only a true pirate would wear both.

Nicely done. Upside down was very sneaky.

Interesting crown location.

That upside-down trick was pretty neat, but I wonder if they'll ever pull some 'Jigglypuff as seen from above' shenadigans.

The tags involving a bright yellow candle don't help with trying to decide why. At least a few of us got it correct, though Squid had a nice attempt.

The crown indeed wasn't where I expected it to be. Thought it'd go more on the right of the flame.

Somewhere there is an old work chat message where IAmTheCandyman said, "I am always serious about the subject of ass crowns! I thought you knew me better than that!" and it kept getting snipped and pasted into various discussions.
I loved what you guys did with the teaser image. ImitationOctopus did just think the image was too obvious and tried to see what you'd do if we flipped it for fun :)

Just make it look like stabby,
but not actually be stabby
and then I can get angry about it.

idk, that would be pretty shady of us to try to do something like that to our users.

This isn't really new at this point but I couldn't help but notice this.

The shiny aura on carroll makes it seem like the trash is leaking out of the bag.

Isn't that what happens? Isn't that the basic condition of life?
