What site is better? According to the Newgrounds wiki both sites can be seen as rivals.

There is no rivalries in the flash game world. They all know each other very well and all of them are friendly. The only game on Kong that actually used the whole rivalry thing and was actually pretty good to play was [War of the Web](http://www.kongregate.com/games/Jiggmin/war-of-the-web?acomplete=war+of+the+we) but it’s a dead game now (and jiggmin doesn’t exist anymore).

As in, I have a Kongregate account, but I don’t have a NG account. I would have one if I thought it’s better than Kongregate.

new grounds is bettr bkuz it has funny flash videos
also they promote games based on their ratings/play count, as opposed to kongregate’s preference of microtransactions.

Oh, so that’s the reason why that thing got named like that out of nowhere even though the thread where they asked for name input on it had a massive majority of ‘voters’ give it a very different name. So far for taking user input and democracy and all that. :D

Despite them both having flash games, I find there to be a huge difference in many areas. The content differs greatly as in the content of the games, but also majorly in that Kongregate is exclusively games and Newgrounds isn’t because it’s a flash **portal** and not a “games site”.
But, both are pretty great in their own way.

Kongregate has more and is professionist over-achiever, comparing it to other flash sites is strange as it is the best.

All three sites have a special place in my heart, but none quite work for me the way Kongregate does. I actually really love the art and music sharing and the encouragement of collaboration of Newgrounds, but I've never stuck around there the way I did at Kongregate. That was true even before I worked for Kongregate, though I was involved enough at Kongregate to not really have time to invest in another site.
A big part of it for me is that Kongregate chat has always been so easy for me to both get into a new community quickly *and* there are friendships I've had for years here. Other than a couple forums for parents (mostly moms) that I frequented when my kids were young, I can't think of many online communities where I've made such varied connections.
