It's your game so sure, do whatever you want with it after the jam is over. Hotkeys would count as controls I guess, but it's all up to your interpretation?

Wait, so everything has to be pretty much original content? Can't even use royalty free sounds or music assets?

I was wondering... is there a good amount of time that your game should take? Would a 3 minute game generally be rated better than a 20 minute one?

Nope! You can't!

Yes, if you put it in the game for this Jam, it should be original. Collaborate, go silent, or make funny and beautiful sounds with your mouth.
I also want to remind people that Modifiers are optional. Try to at least consider what your game might be like using the modifier, as restrictions can lead to creativity and cool new ideas. But in the end, don't make a worse game in order to incorporate the modifiers. Last Jam we had "no text" as a modifier, and some creators developed games that could be discovered through gameplay and others with simple, picture tutorials or in game arrow use to show the player what to do. That was a case of the modifier making the game better, and anything you can do to learn how to make your games make sense without slamming a text wall in the player's face at the start is worth doing. Other games, though, were just confusing. If the dev couldn't make the game make sense without instructions, it would have been better to put some simple instructions in.
If a non-violent game is simply not what you are interested in making, don't use that modifier.
I'm realy looking forward to seeing these creations!

"beautiful sounds with your mouth"
What a thought!
I have an idea with fits all the modifiers, but I'm not sure I'll have time this week to work on it :( I guess we'll see, good luck to everyone who does!

Are we allowed to post our game making progress?

Ok, I'm getting started - I've got a good idea - now just to learn to progam a game from scratch!
P.S. I'm good at sound effects from my mouth so if anyone wants some, just PM me.

I posted a [thread in Collaborations](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/8-collaborations/topics/680154-experienced-2d-artist-looking-to-join-in-on-kong-game-jam) if anyone wants to get some art, but don't have anyone yet.

I think this answers it.

Oh, I had the perfect idea, I may not get the time to interpret it, but good luck I guess!

As long as you stop adding content until AFTER judging is complete, or you may be disqualified for judging!
> also um.
> are hot keys controls?
I think so. If you're referring to the two-button modifiers, I'm not sure how hotkeys get into it. It's literally just two buttons.

I guess you could, but a week isn't much time, so I recommend focusing on just one entry!

That is completely up to you! You decide how long you want your week-long creation to be. It is what you make of it. :)

Alright, I have a working beta of my game done, and I followed [this](http://developers.kongregate.com/blog/unity-webgl) tutorial in order to submit a preivew of it to kongregate. However, I keep getting stuck on a "loading" screen that the html shows, and it says "%UNITY_WEBGL_LOADER_GLUE%" at the top left. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong per chance? The game runs perfectly when I host it myself with the exact same set up. I'm lost here. http://i.imgur.com/HbTirGO.png
EDIT: I eventually managed to get through it using [this](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/4-game-programming/topics/614955-guide-uploading-unity-webgl-games-with-kongs-api) guide instead.

Well, this sounds like fun, but I'm not sure if I really can get anything put together right now, with the condition my game library is currently in...
Also, IRL events to deal with...
