What does this mean for me? You will always be able to play your favorite games on Kongregate. However, certain site features may suddenly stop working and leave you with a severely degraded experience.
What should I do? We strongly urge all our users to upgrade to modern browsers for a better experience and improved security.
We suggest you install the latest version of one of these browsers:
Hey all,
I'm just posting this up to hopefully get more of you coming here with questions questions/thoughts or anything else that might not fit elsewhere by making it a bit more convenient for you and us.
We try to be active in the chat, but since we don't do that 24/7 I suppose we miss a lot of things :) So yeah, we love to talk about anything about the game, and talking about it here in the forum would just be the best place for us - as it also helps get feedback on topics that might interest other users as well ;)
War Clicks team
Currently not, (unless you'd want us to reset everything manually you could drop us a PM) but a hard reset is on our TO DO list. Not the most immediate priority though. Perhaps within a few weeks we could some time to add it.
svbolt: Suggestion to game if you're still here: There should be a few points bonus to the player who crosses the line to complete an invasion: Often you're earning less points for making that final push, so we need to take away that disincentive.
i do agree with svbolt
would it be possible to give the bosses a makeover so it feels like u are achieve something. like a name for them and a other visual look. example air units red baron; airwolf , sea units the yamato; enterprise and for land units a sherman;
Why don't better rankings have better rewards?
What's the point of e.g. being top 25 when the rewards are just going to be the same as being top 100?
- amongst top 1000 by score: permanent 1% production boost on Boot Camp (in fact false, need to be top 999, nr 1000 gets nothing)
- top 250: 2%
- top 100: 3%
- top 25: 3% ??
- top 10: 4%
- nr 3: 5%
- nr 2: 5% ??
- nr 1: 5% ??
- amongst top 1000 by powerpoints: permanent 1% DPC boost in War Zone (idem, really top 999)
- top 250: 1% ??
- top 100: 2%
- top 25: 2% ??
- top 10: 2% ??
- nr 3: 3%
- nr 2: 3% ??
- nr 1: 3% ??
- similar for other rankings
In War Zone > Army Setup > Basic
DPC MX shows a list of mutually multiplicative multipliers. Amongst them badges, rewards, cursorDPC
The ranking 'reward' is actually called 'badge' in profile (and in dpc mx)... my badge multiplier has improved but my reward multiplier is still 1... so how differ rewards from badges, and how to improve the reward multiplier?
And what is cursorDPC and how to improve it?
In War Zone > Army Setup > Support Units
Is there a way to know the base power for all units?
e.g. +0.01 support power on an assault vehicle makes a big difference on 0.1 base power, a medium difference on 1 base power, and hardly any difference on 10 base power
@HIGI81: Yes this is a known issue and we have a few ways to address it. We should get to it in the following weeks as we also start programming the CvC update. ALong with some other improvements in CHQ.
@raven Good suggetion and something that's been on our list for a while, but as it's mainly a cosmetic it was postponed as we had other priorities. I think we will definitely do some improvements like this when we can in the following months.
@Panaceia This is mainly as we don't want to create "overpowering" users who might consistently take some of the top spots. We want to make some changes to hwo competitions work at some point, which is when we'd also want to rework these better. Also, with some major balancing updates in the work in the ofllowing weeks, it's also something we first want to sort, and then work from this ground up to "additional balancing".
The reward multiplier is something from the early days of the game and is basically deprecated now. We will put this on the list to remove to avoid some confusion.
Cursor DPC is somethign you can get in Shop -> customizations tab, that changes your cursor look and also gives a slight DPC boost.
@Base power/DPC is basically the same as what 1 upgrade increases it by for a unit. Not the clearest displayed for sure - we might want to change how Army Setup looks in general for a better UI at some poitn, but it's unfortunately on the bottom of our priorities for a month or two at least I'm afraid.
@HIGI81 Council members are considered as inactive if they haven't done any invasions in last 7 days…in that case they get removed from the Country Council rankings (can get back/considered as active in cases they fight at least 1 invasion)
@Panaceia2:
You were right.
"What does Fire icon on specific unit mean?
We call it berserk mode – on every single wave/unit there is a 30% chance to get this special power, Berserk mode multiplies power of specific unit in that wave by 2x.
Total_unit_power = $playerLevel + (unit_count * supportUnitsBasePvpPower * $pvpUnitUpgradeMX); Multiplied further by 1.1x if user is attacker. Multiplied further by 2x if berserk mode on wave (30% chance) – applicable only in current wave"

Since the video ads have been disabled for several days now and I don't have any idea how long it will take Kongregate to fix it (assuming fixing video ads in 1 of the 100,000+ games they're hosting is a priority at all for them) I was thinking... since the game is already designed to keep track of remaining production boost time maybe you could temporarily run a script daily/weekly/whatever to repeatedly set it to some countdownvalue greater than 0 thereby keeping production boost active for all Kongregate players until this bug is fixed
And maybe something similar might be possible with the gold/fuel from the WZ-ads
Kong team is currently looking in the videos issues as it seems to be a 3rd party issue.
And I know this will sound like a broken record, but we still want to look into ways of giving out rewards in case of no ads availability, just have to find the dev time and a way to make it work with Kong's "experience requirements". Might finally get to look into this during our balance changes in the following 2-3 weeks.
@teris201 - leaderborads have been fixed, but we still need a feedback for Time Warps (TW):
If you can answer a few things to help us find this issue faster:
1) Did you have this issue whenever using a time warp since the update or did some of the time warps work properly?
2) After the update happened did you refresh the game or not before using the time warps?
3) If you've lose the progress in BC after using a TW, did you lose 100% of units/upgrades you bought or just a portion?

@TonyPlaya - Yes, competitions are currently limited to registered players, here you can get more info about it:

Ok, I see it says I must register, but funny thing is the link you gave doesn't say where or how lol. (am I blind or something?) Anyway I went to warclicks.com to see and registered to the site (not sure if that is what was meant to do or not) and it started me over.
So anyway, still no idea how to get into the competition....I play on Kong,(don't want to start all over on website) and maybe too late for me since I am fairly high even though I never joined it I don't think, so I may have missed most of the benefit anyway.
That being said it would be great to have more help on this. Thanks
@TonyPlaya - Kong users needs to login into Kongregate accounts to be able to compete in the weekly competitions. Specifically in your case, as i see you are a Kong registered player, you should be able to see your results on the competition tables. You don't need to do anything else besides login into kong's acocunt, if you are playing as guest you are not seeing the results there. The link posted above is to get more details on how competition works/the rewarding system and other stuff.
Hey,
Thanks for taking the effort of capturing that. But I'm afraid that specifically tells us little as you seem to have copied the incorrect thing :P
So to avoid further confusion as I know you're not meant to know this, here's a little step-by step guide of what I'd need you to do:
1) Go to War Zone and open up Developer console (F12).
2) Click on the console tab, and the click delete/bin, to clear all the needless logs that won't provide anything usefull.
3) Now click on country HQ, and then click on Convert
4) Does the convert spoil popup even appear for you? If yes, then also click on Confirm.
5) After this, right click within the console, choose select all and copy it (right click again and copy message or just ctrl +c ) - then provide me those logs please.
This is an example from Firefox. If you're using Chrome it's pretty similar - there's no bin but there's a crossed over circle to delete previous logs etc.
Let me know if you'll need any further help but this would help us out a lot!
