Not even sure how to replicate. Done with the game, lost weeks of progress. I was checking the scores and noticed as I switched between categories it didn't always jump to my spot on the list. Annoying, and I clicked around between them and saw where I placed on most lists. Tried clicking back to war zone and my entire game frame blinked and reloaded. Chat did not reload, chrome did NOT refresh. To my horror I was back at the starting tutorial. I immediately manually slammed refresh on chrome before any of that nonsense could save. Game/chat/etc. reloaded and when it finished I was no longer at the starting tutorial. I *was* however close to a MONTH behind. At some point roughly a month ago I had changed from short numbers to scientific. I was back at short numbers. I no longer had either of the two privitizations I had done. I had lost SO MUCH progress. Closed tab, will not be returning. Get a cloud save going and get it reliable before you lose more players to whatever game ruining bug I encountered.

Replying here after in the comment as there's more info here. As I mentioned in the comment, it doesn't seem you lost game data. What happened was likely a session drop, which is also a bug we're still ivnestigating that also overrides your settings with the default ones.
The game stores every 30 seconds, and unless there is a progress revert within those 30 seconds, there's really no way for the game to lose progress that far back. Perhaps just the change to default settings made it seemed liek you were suddenly a month back, as that's when you last changed the settings.
I understand the frustration with this issue happening in the first place, but I'll be happy to investigate this further if you're still interested in playing. I really can't see a way of progress just resetting weeks back, never had a case like this in 3 years either. I first assumed potentially somehow you played on a parallel "guest account", and the progress was potentially saved there, but I checked, and doesn't seem to be the case either.

Once I mucked around with the settings enough, it does appear that somehow ALL of my setting were back at default, giving me a visual appearance of missing data. I've re-enabled all the settings I had enabled prior to this crazy bug and I may not have lost data. I'll restore my original game rating due to your quick response and investigation, but I am still somewhat leery of what would allow those to reset in the first place. I'd assumed I had lost unlocks given that none of my normal buttons were visible, but it may just have been them defaulting back to off. Again, thank you for checking on this.

I absolutely understand the confusion and appaul when something like that happens.
It's a known bug on Kong specifically, that we'll try to re-look into soon. We tackled with it before, but it's so unpredictable and hard to debug, it's the reason why it's still happening.
Unfortunately our athenthication practices are bad and old as this is our first game and one where some of the core code is still 3 years old, and rectifying all past mistakes would basically take a full code rework from scratch.
Thanks for your understanding - let me know if you feel anything else was weird or if you lost play time because of this I can look into some compensation.
