Since a lot of the threads on here are basically game promotion, and disappear with almost no replies, I thought I'd start this thread to try and give an outlet to everyone who wants one.
So, either explain your game yourself, or use my handy game interview template below to talk about it. I'll try and play (and comment on) as many as I fancy- provided this doesn't disappear with no replies of course...
**Title [with link] / genre/ release date if not currently available**
**Biggest influences of your game?**
**The game's biggest strengths?**
**Amount of time/ effort put into the game?**
**Your favourite part/s of making this game?**
**What would you improve on if you could?**
And post any game-related links you want to share below. Feel free to post any old games you're proud of, or even WIPs. Also, please comment on any other people's games that take your interest.

Can I instead use this thread to promote other people's work that I like?

Yay, more shameless advertising! Just remember not to rate my games horribly...
Here's my game: https://www.kongregate.com/games/hazard_Gamer/pre-alpha-idle-world. It's an idle game, and I released it about 2 months ago after working on it for a while.
It was largely influenced by [this game](https://www.kongregate.com/games/iouRPG/idle-online-universe), which I've been playing for more than a year.
Strengths? Dunno...
I spent maybe 12 hours in total programming the game, plus another 1.5 (?) for making the sprites and everything.
I learned a lot while making this game, especially on stuff that's not really intuitive or easy to program. I think the hardest parts were having the damage number float up, and handling the click damage (especially the click damage number float up).
I'm still updating the game, but I'm not making as many updates (working on a new game, there's a devblog but I'm too lazy to pull up a link). I have a lot of ideas (more upgrades, new game mechanics, offline progress, training arena, ascension/prestige, etc.) but not a lot of time to implement it.

First game: [Escape from Puppy Death Factory](https://www.kongregate.com/games/AdultSwimGames/escape-from-puppy-death-factory?acomplete=escape+from+pupp).
Now, the name might make it seem gruesome and violent. But rest assured, it isn't.
This is a game where you explore a vast world and solve puzzles with your "swap gun". It's a pretty good metroid like game (albeit without upgrades), and is a big favorite of mine.
So, go check it out if you want.
(also, this one has a fair ammount of views, but I'm also hoping to showcase lots of underviewed content on here).

my game https://www.kongregate.com/games/juliocou/goob-tower-defence it's an tower defense game and i released it about 2 weeks ago. It was mostly influenced by the bloons tower defence series.
Strengths honestly i dont know.
i spent about 7 hours programming the game and maybe an hour working on the sprites and other stuff.
My favorite part of making the game is knowing someone who is playing my game might be somewhat enjoying themselves.
I would like to improve how the wave and money system works but i don't have much time to do it.

And, of course, I completely forgot about this thread until someone else brought it up recently. Well, here's another one, and it is "underviewed":

This is a cute little game about getting a person from point A to B by raising and lowering platforms. The sound and art are wonderfully whimsical.
I did post a comment on this game where I said that I thought the later levels were "pointless". I might have been a bit too harsh with my word choice, but I think what I said still applies. I would have liked to see more interesting ideas.
Definitely worth a shot!

Hi, I know my game is not a browser game and it is a bit too late but I want to tell you about it in case you want to join me. My name is Andrew Astro and I am searching for a 3d modeler and a concept artist who have experience with Blender or 3D Max, and can create simple items like a desk, a cup of coffee, tools and etc, and more complicated items like mob models. At the moment we have the lead artist who has really good skills but we need a support 3d modeler and a concept artist. If you have any of those sets of skills please message me and I'll send you more info.
The game presents surrealistic horror experience heavily based off the backrooms creepypasta that started with the post made on 4chan. The player will have an opportunity to noclip through reality and traverse in the cryptic horror theme of the forgotten world. The game itself happens in the first person and has survival genre elements. The game consists of multiple layers or locations that become darker and more mysterious while progressing the game.
The noclipped world exists outside of human comprehension and understanding, it is the warehouse of all things that were long forgotten and exiled. Everything, that is denied by reality ends up here. You will have to strive and endeavour to seek the unforgivable truth behind this place's true purpose. So basically it is a game that consists of around 4-5 levels and every level consists of multiple rooms and a few enemy types that the player meets through the game. The first enemy in the game will be chasing the player in the first location until he runs away enough. The entire game shall give the player a claustrophobic feeling as he is going through a randomized map trying to find a way to the next level, he will have to get keys and during his game progress he will learn more about the place's story and its purpose. If you find it interesting message me.
Right now we are in progress of starting the development of the game, we are trying to create a demo and start a Kickstarter it, our team consists of around 5 people and 1 artist, however, we are in need of extra help if we want to keep working on this game. If you found any of this interesting please contact me by messaging on this mail - deathunique2@yandex.ruu or on my discord - Arstotzka Empire#9883. Thank you for reading this.

Metroidvania games are the biggest influences ( if it wasn't obvious :) )
The game's biggest strengths?
Hopefully the exploration (and possibly the dry writing)
Amount of time/ effort put into the game?
4 weeks - about half of that learning TypeScript/Phaser
Your favourite part/s of making this game?
Writing the grid/map system.
What would you improve on if you could?
The game and the systems became very tied together, would have been nice to see the map system more abstracted away. Then it could be used to create any number of map-games from imported designs. Or it could be used as a design/mock tool to draw maps for a real metroidvania game, and play the map out in real time! See if your map design works well for the game before going and making it all.

Hey there, just uploaded my first game on Kongregate, Fish Escape
https://www.kongregate.com/games/limetales/fish-escape
This is a puzzle game which I think is both relaxing and particularly challenging.
The goal is to save the little fish by trapping the penguin. Each map is a different puzzle to solve and you have to find the right way to trap the penguin.
I have been working on this for quite some time (way too long, I'm too ashamed to say exactly how long). I originally built the game for mobile (I [published it on Android first](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.limetalesgames.fishescapelite)), but I think it plays quite well as a web game, so I decided to also make an HTML5 version and upload it here.
We worked in a team of two, a programmer and an artist. We are quite proud that everything was done by ourself, and by everything I mean all the assets, all the coding, and even a custom game engine. That's also why it took so long to finish (along with the fact that we took expansive pauses in the middle of development).

Link to the game: https://www.kongregate.com/games/Clhs/combo-mage
[Me and my brother have a really simple, but hard and addictive, agility training game](https://www.kongregate.com/games/Clhs/combo-mage). You "only" have to put your mouse at the mob and click its respective key to cast a spell and kill it. You can move your character with right mouse button.
If you click the wrong key or a mob hits your mage, you lose.
The game's objective is just to be better and improve your highscore. This game can help you to improve mouse agility and reflexes.

I've gone over several other games in this thread, so I think it's time I submit mine.
**Super Kitty Adventure** / Interactive Fiction / [Released April 18 2020](https://www.kongregate.com/games/senshisun/super-kitty-adventure)
**Biggest Influences**: *Diary of a Cat* for its simple, charming story.
**Biggest Strength**: The somewhat RPG-like choices.
**Amount of Time/Effort**: A couple of weeks. I had started making this as a text adventure. I was following a tutorial, but the tutorial was structured in a very odd way. I threw everything out and started from scratch.
**Your favourite part**: Doing the art. I've used other people's art with other games, but their licences wouldn't allow me to use them for Kongregate. I didn't think I was good at art.
**What you would improve**: The Kongregate page's information makes it look like it's a joke game. I might make it longer too.
The game is five minutes long if you want to try it out and give me some feedback. I would love to hear them, and try to implement any suggestions you have.
