Intro.
I want to begin with to remind all newer players that there's a [beginners guide](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1023269-idle-skilling/topics/1758879-beginners-guide-to-idle-skilling) to start with, and a [discord server](https://discordapp.com/invite/vGXDDUG) with lots of information in #game-info, including pictures, semi-guides, maths & even a google spreadsheet for cards & contracts!
Now, to begin!
Kongregate chat and discord servers has helped me much.
There's been much clarifying, guides, help, tips, suggestions,bug reports...yeah, you name it.
Some of the questions or information below comes from me, some comes from discord.
Due to the sheer amount of information asked(and answered), i'll try keep it to a smaller scale, but it's likely i've missed queite a few answers to the questions states below.
This is both a question & clarify post from/to players & dev, and i hope we can make more information clear.
Please feel free to correct me if i state facts wrongly, my last wish it to misslead new players or spread misinformation.
I will edit answers after questions as soon as i get answers here on kong or on discord.
**CARDS
**
1. Different damage card sometimes end up giving less damage than expected, because of other damage multipliers. How is damage actually calculated?
2. Monster card % multipliers sometimes gives way less than expected, how does cash multipliers really work?
A personal observation:
Glitch 76 in grasslands gave me 1.72m cash while having 9430% cash bonus.
Equipping blue phat which gives +15% monster cash raised that to 1.74m and total of 9557% cash bonus, which is just about a 1.3% increase.
3. Does card drop cards increase card drop from raids?
4. Do raid drop cards increase all drops from raids, or just all drop but cards?
6. Thanks to cards it's currently to get over 200% xp chance on skilling such as strength for example. What happens with any excesive % over 100?
7. With monster cards, is it possible to take 0% dmg from monsters?
8. Spooktober card, will it ever be available again?
***ANSWERS:***
Question 1: Different damage card sometimes end up giving less damage than expected, because of other damage multipliers. How is damage actually calculated?
A: All damage are multipliers. The exception would be if you have two base dmg cards, the value will be added together before multiplying. For example 600% and 200% will be a total of x8 bonus, not x12.
Question 2: Monster card % multipliers sometimes gives way less than expected, how does cash multipliers really work?
A: Cash cards are currently bugged but will be fixed.
Question 3: Does card drop cards increase card drop from raids?
A: No, Raid card drops are fixed and have a 1/70, 1/60 and 1/40 chance to drop from x1, x3 and x10 ticket raid respectivly.
**Misc. information**
Just some info about small parts of the game. I don't have any questions here, just wish to spread more info about
Later on, there's a theory that being active on fishing screen slows you down due to animation.
I recently learned from lava that if you have above 300 speed in spiriting screen, the animation is caped and won't make a different if you're online & on spiriting screen.
To get purple souls, do all cultist on blue and acolytes on blue/purple. It's faster than doing orange/yellow/other souls and working your way up.
**Suggestions:**
1. Trading center for cards. Right now you need a blue card to be able to swap 3 blue stars for one purple.
Perhaps we can click the star icons be able to trade, instead to select a card of the appropiate level?
2. Raid bosses take long time to farm even if you can oneshot it.
The animation, and several clicks to get there makes it a pain.
Maybe once you beat a boss, be able to skip animations? A retry button after boss fight? Something to speed up raid farming?
3. On contract screen, there are some quests that reset upon ascension, and some that does not.
Many of this are obvious, but maybe add text or icon that tells you if the quest progress is reset upon ascending?
4. When upgrading/crafting, we now have multibuy. Could we have a custom buy that we chose?
One way could be a user-chosen amount which are changed by up/arrow on 1,10,100 and 1000's number?(might not be optional, but wanted to leave it out there)
5. Would it be possible to skip animations entirely if we want? Since there are some animation caps on active screens(fishing, spiriting) it'd be nice to not be punished for being on those screens late-game.
6. Quest completed/total quest counter?
7. Do all timed quest have a timer of 5 minutes?
8. Be able to make create & switch between different "card sets/hands"?
Right now you unequip & equip one card at a time. It'd be nice if i could make different "set" of cards that i choose and easily switch between them
9. Investment only gives cash per minute if you are on screen.
Fighting and rift works with reduced progress if you're on other screens, could investment work this way too?
**Clarity:**
This is just a section about clarity & hidden information.
Wishing well card drop chance is 1/50 and have a chance to drop start cards after you get your turkey card.(confirmation needed?)
To get maximum number of souls while offline, you have to be ON the spirting screen when you go offline.
Card drop chance is 1 in (180 + 60zone). This means that grasslands have a 1/240 drop chance, dessert 1/300, mountains 1/360, mist 1/420 and dungeon 1/480.
Each zone also has a +20% better card rarity.
It means zone X+1 gives rare start cards 20% more often that zone X.
I'm open to hear more facts that can clarify things not obvious from both dev and players.

Neither of this info is available in game, and it'd be helpful to know more such things.

Yes this is true. I've gotten only green star cards so far. There was one report of something else but it may have been a glitch as no one else reported so I won't say what it is but I've gotten several green star cards from farming tokens.

As far as the speed capped part, I did a test to see what would result in more kills faster (since I was trying to farm monsters for the monster madness contract)
I set a timer up to see how long it would take me to get 100 kills. Then I went to another screen (ended up picking the event token screen since I can hit home and go right back to fighting)
I sat on that screen for the same amount of time it took me to get 100 kills. When I came back I was around 200 kills. Assuming I didn't make any silly mistakes then I was at a point where being off the fighting screen was indeed faster for getting kills.
I don't want to get into the details of how fast my attack speed was at the time or how long I waited for a few reasons, one being I didn't write it down. The important part is, it can and will get to that point.
