So I just ascended 2nd time, went to upgrade my miner, Value upgrade shows ~100 and everything seems fine, Speed upgrade shows ~150 but takes away not 150 gold but 15k or more with every upgrade @ level one. Is this a bug, wrong values or something else?
EDIT: This affects all my miners. I had saved about 250k, Speed upgrade cost ~600, but when upgraded took about 30k from me instead. It kept taking larger and larger sums of gold with each upgrade but once I had under 30k money myself then it retracted the correct values it was showing. This has to be a bug.

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. It's happening on pc too, i've already reported it on the bug thread. Do you happen to have the payback perk by any chance ?

No I dont have it.
I also want to add that it happened on my first playthrough and 1st ascension too but on different other skillers. I think on 1st ascension it affected one or couple of my combat skillers. Once I get far enough into a run and each upgrade costs significantly more this problem kind of solves itself however when ascending and starting from beginning it can be a big problem. Now it seems to plague all of my miners only.

i'm also having this problem, mainly on the "speed" upgrades of my miners.
Like you say, once the money has dropped enough it goes away. but maxing out speed on the first miner shouldn't burn through over 300m. It's a serious handbrake to progress after ascention
