When you get multiple kills (via upgrades on ascension and secret) shouldn't you get the gold based on the kill? This may be a bug. For example if monster drops 100k/kill and you have 3x kill count you should get 300k for every actual kill

Maybe a bug, but I understood it as that it counts more per kill so you can simply advance further and faster and make the quests/contracts easier on yourself in future as the numbers will grow. Not necessarily meant to help you farm more gold faster.

That's the verdict I came to, but it doesn't make sense towards the endgame and the ascension points that is required is too much for what you get out of it. That's why I figured I'd ask if it's a bug.

No, that'd be overpowered af. It's intended as a kill count requirement (not actual kills) so you can progress through the levels faster - not as more gold. You get more gold via the % gold bonuses.

I think the multiple 'kills' per 'actual defeat' is just for progression and AP calculation. You get gold per defeat, you need so many kills to advance to the next monster and your total kills determine your ascension points. That's it.
You don't get four times the chances at cards or candy from one defeat with a kill value of four, for example. Getting four times the gold would be nice, sure, but it makes sense either way, and the way it is is... no.
