Everyday I see people having lost game data.
It's horribly frustrating I know, that Lava hasn't implemented some cloudsave type thing that legitimately every other idle game on this site seems to manage to do.
But complaining doesn't change anything. That's the way the game is, and if you don't like it, move on.
**Firstly** - most of this data I have grabbed from the discord. A server with over 2k active at any one time, and the answer to almost all your question. https://discord.gg/7Kdeq2F
**PC Save Locations** -
Firefox:
%appdata%/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/<LETTERS&NUMBERS>/chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0029/9045/live/KongFinalOct8.swf
Edge:
%appdata%/Macromedia/Flash Player#SharedObjects/<LETTERS&NUMBERS>/#AppContainer/chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0029/9045/live/KongFinalOct8.swf
Chrome:
%localappdata%/Google/Chrome/UserData/Default/Pepper Data/Shockwave Flash/WritableRoot#SharedObjects<LETTERS&NUMBERS>/chat.kongregrate.com/gamez/0029/9045/live/KongFinalOct8.swf
EXE:
%appdata%/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/<LETTERS&NUMBERS>/localhost/<EXE FILE DIRECTORY>/EXE NAME.exe
Projector: %appdata%/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/<LETTERS&NUMBERS>/#localWithNet/<SWF FILE DIRECTORY>/SWF NAME.swf

3.2 - Rename the Adobe Flash Projector EXE to SA.exe and replace the SA.exe in the Lib folder of SWF to EXE
3.3 - Open SWF to EXE
3.4 - Select the SWF file and Convert
3.4 - EXE is available in the Output folder which you can move anywhere you want
4 - Run Idle Skilling with Adobe Flash Projector + SWF or use the EXE if you did Step 3
Positive: Can play Offline & Avoid any Browser Issues
Negative: Cannot purchase Gems with Kreds
**And finally** firefox occasionally has a problem where the save stops being updated. **To fix**:
- Open a New Tab
- Enter "about:config"
- Click Accept Risk
- Press Ctrl + F and search for dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash
- Right Click and Edit Value to 0
- Restart Firefox and problem should be fixed
Manually backing up your save every day might seem tedious, but it beats loosing months of gameplay, so please read this, and be proactive about your save.
If you have lost purchases due to save problems, you can message Lava on the discord, and I'm sure he will help.

I'm still seeing, almost daily, people who lose their entire saves and haven't made a backup.
Honestly, it does happen commonly. Often with a blackout or computer crash. Manually copy and paste your save data somewhere safe regularly. It takes seconds, and you won't regret it.

I am glad to stumble upon this post. The only thing I will add for Windows 10 users, is if you do not see the AppData folder from your C:/Users/UserName search, is because it's usually hidden. To unhide it just follow these steps in the folder screen.
View > Options > Change folder and search options > View > Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives > Apply
Hope Cold_Master's guide and this saves everyone from a massive headache and frustration.

Even if i really don't like that "That's the way the game is, and if you don't like it, move on." (for a game where you can spend real money, that's a really weird way of thinking), i'll still add my really-tiny stone to the temple:
For linux players (yeah, "PC" doesn't mean "windows"), instead of %appdata%, go to your personnal files, un-hide the hidden files and follow the lines from ".macromedia" (after that, just follow as Cold_master said).
Thanks a lot for the save location, going to be very useful !
