Hey there :)
a friend of mine is experiencing something strange.
Whenever she is doing a spell that takes a long time (like animated blades), the time it takes to finish it increases for the same level e.g. 58 to 59.
Like, at 0917, Animated Blades 58 to 59 should have been taking 10 Minutes 5 seconds.
At 0937, the same Spell (58 to 59) with the same configuration (demons, gear ect) still takes 5 Minutes 36 Seconds.
But the Spell should have been finished at 0927.
This happened a couple of times now. I didn't experience that and I can't test it as I am already stage 470+.
Is there anything I am overlooking that might cause the problem from her side?
regards

Did you rule out that simply the browser window was out of focus, and no progress was computed?
If that is not the case, as you know a lot of features might influence completion time even without actively changing something, e.g. a cooking in adventure for mana power might have timed out. But that shouldn't have such a drastic effect, so this is somewhat strange.

hey evan :)
thanks for the hints.I ran some test with her and nothing particular shone through. cooking wasn't unlocked back then and even now she barely scrapes some fishes for off/deff.
Since then it happened two times personally oberserving it, both times the window was the only open window.
I told her just to live with it, which earned me an angry stare :D

Just making a wild guess here. I'm way beyond the point of being able to observe this myself as well (my highest stage reached so far is 366 - mana cap in e15 range and I refill an amount in the high e21 range every 1.17 seconds - all spells can be leveled at capped speed and as far as I know I don't think any of the conjurings take any significant time to level either (and heck, even if for some reason a conjuring did require a long time to level, I'm massively overdoing it on the spells and can have them contrinue leveling for a while even without mana allocated in them - summon dragon currently has an e42 amount of exp and the amount needed for the next level of the spell is an e27 amount.)).
But could her observation be some combination of auto-conjuring plus weak mana refill and a slow conjuring?
Auto-conjuring automatically pulls mana off of spells when it's possible to get another conjuring level. When the mana refills it then gets automatically put back where it came from.
So if at some point while waiting for that spell to work on a level enough sanctuaries were built in the town to lower the cost of a conjuring to an affordable level, or enough off/def was built up from spells and wherever else to complete a stage that unlocked new conjurings, the spell's progress could have been halted while the mana was reassigned. Then she wouldn't get that mana back in place on the spell again until after the conjuring is done with it and mana refill replaces what the conjuring used up.

Hey Muljo )
Thanks alot for the hint.
We checked it and it was the reason for the delay :)
So Auto-Conjuring stays off for her during the spell challenges :)
