Hi everyone!
I know we have been pretty quiet on Kongregate, so as promised in our latest news update, we will start posting some development updates here too!

To start here is one of the ones I am very excited to share. You know how there is a castle out in the distance, and all of the farm friends have mentioned the Allium City? Well, parts of the Allium City are making their way into our new update!

I'm wondering, are you intending on wiping everyone's progress when you release this update you are working on or are we going to be able to continue at the point we are up to?

@bigBlackCat we have no intention of wiping progress. We have hopefully designed this in a way that it will be relevant no matter where you are at in the game.

I'm really excited for this new update! It seems like you guys definitely have such a huge update planned. I'm not in the Discord, but I have seen a teaser post on Twitter and I can't wait until it comes out. I think this game has a lot of potential for large amounts of worldbuilding and could even be on par with other well-known farming simulators.

Glad to hear the huge upcoming update will not wipe any progress! Worked hard on maxing everything. And luckily didn't go on a gem hoarding spree when working on the guild stuff so still should be a challenge!

Do you have any plans to update the romance/interaction features with the NPCs? I would love to have more options, not just in terms of the number of NPCs, but in the interactions you can have with each one. Thanks.

will there be an option to build your own house and customize it? because i think that would be a nice feature to have

That's something wanted to gauge interest in. We have always wanted to delve further into the relationships with NPCs and the complexity of the friendship and romace system. It won't be in this patch but we are starting to hear requests about it enough that revamping the friendship system to add more choice and complexity is on our radar!

I really like this idea! I love customization in games.

Maybe a good idea is to have the ability to unlock skins for the farmers, not in the way we can change our characters appearence though. More like if I wanted a scifi themed farm I could make everyone have space suits, just an idea.

i have chatted with the developers on some ideas for the future and i can tell you that its necesary because the way we are playing now still stays the same but there will be some big things added to the game.

Really, the biggest problem is that we overscoped. We are a teeny team and decided to add some ambitious content... everything in the feature set does something (ie - consumable food, craftable bonueses, new tools) because we knew it was more fun. Trust me. Everyone (you and us) are itching for this content to get out, but we know it's best for the game to not release anything until it is done. Since we are adding it mid-game we have 2x the tuning to add. I'm fairly certain our updates won't follow this structure anytime in the near future!

I honestly don't mind waiting for an update/new content IF the game is infinite. The problem right now is that you can't progress, if you would have kept the option to continue to earn guild and town levels (without any new buildings etc., just do some tasks, earn cash and experience), my guess is people would not be as impatient.
And I am sorry to say, I am really losing interest, as there is literally nothing for me to do in the game at the moment and hasn't been for many weeks. Updating my crops is pointless as as soon as there is new content I'll start another day and those upgrades will be lost. So all I do is check in every few days - well no new content - close tab.
So I'm not sure this was a good decision to postpone everything, but we'll see. My guess is that a lot of people are moving on to something else, as I will be soon.

I'm a bit worried, to forgot about this game, to check every couple of days if there is an update.
I've hit the wall like month ago, the lack of content is borring;)
Well, at least we know the project its not dead, thats a good thing on its own.
Still, I agree with previous posts.

I agree. I probably play fro 2-3 minutes every day, but its not something I look forward to. Right now it honestly feels like kind of a chore and the only reason I keep on checking is so I can see if the new update is out and/or if there is any news from the devs.
I do aprecciate how the devs have still ben in contact with the players, though. I've played some other games where big updates were promised, followed by complete silence, that left the plays feeling really abandoned.

Yeah unfortunatley it's just the nature of this update - there's a lot and things take longer than expected. When we do update, I'll be sure to post something on the Incremental Games subreddit, Discord, Twitter, and I will update our news post here. I think if you have the game favorited, it will automatically notify you. We will also update the icon - we will do our best to let everyone know! Because we understand it's a lot to come check in daily.
