What a disgusting paywall. Most games have an option to pay to get ahead. It's really something to have a game that prohibits you from advancing at all unless you pay to upgrade managers.
There's not even an option to go back to a previous town if you advance beyond your ability to upgrade managers.

Seriously though I second this.

I am at town 22 in the main game and town 8 on the event. I have not had any issues playing the game without paying. Sure you have to work around and do some planning at times, but the game is still playable. If you keep your harversters leveled up well enough and don't waste Pies/Beans on the Gather/Shipper, you can let the game run idle a long time and come back and run your Gatherer/Shipper for a few cycles, and then have shipped all your goods from the past hours of being away. You can even overlevel these buildings so they can pick everything up in only a few passes. Game is perfectly playable. But I guess these days people want everything to be 100% idle in their idle games.

My event Leaderboard has updated a few times, it is kinda random. There is defeinitely an issue of it not loading very well. Right now I am pushing towards Fish village 9, need to earn 500AF coins to get there, which I am not sure will happen sadly

Then you have gotten extremely lucky on the quests you pull if you have not spent a dime on this game.

I call bull on that. Not a chance that you haven’t spent money on this if you’re even partway idle. The number of beans and cards needed to simply automate fishhooks is absurdly high. And let’s say you did automate it, no way you could automate any of your other businesses, even if you didn’t automate the gatherer and shipper. I’ve completed every single quest in this, even after I can go to the next town and I don’t have enough cards or beans to upgrade past town 4. And I’m 2-3 levels behind on a vast majority of managers with a level 1 shipper and a level 2 gatherer which is negligible in bean/card count.

I’ve also watched a laaaarge amount of ads for beans. The time between them is too high and the beans rewarded are too low for that to even be a means to upgrade managers reliably.

Add my voice to ballzback. There is no way he is not paying. I do the same as you going for the ads and I have a timer so that I get the free crate every four hours and I can't get past town 4 in the event

Same boat here. I’m stuck at town 4 1-2 lvl behind on all but one gatherer ship/transport at min lvl watch videos for beans etc... the event seemed to grind to a stand still As for the main game. I’m loving it. No complaints

I won the event, ended up in level 7. Didn’t spend a dime, tons of tapping. Free crate every 4 hours helped a lot. At the last level did not have any managers, but the multiplier for the hooks was big. Went from 2,800 to 4,550 so that helped

Forgot to mention, I’m level 20 on the regular game. I have noticed a couple of times where I don’t have a manager for a specific property, but can still work around it. From what I have seen, looks like there are cards for 20 different properties, including the train and ship, plus 6 different ones at every level. You are better off not upgrading anything that you don’t have to since there are too many properties at this time, and you might need those pies later

I got first in my leaderboard. I only ever upgraded the piranha manager, and I was planning to also do the shark one, but it was too costly after level 4. So I had one money-maker, the shipper/ transporter, and the fishhook guy. When I upgraded to level 3 it took several hours to get idle again (lucked out on opening a chest) and at level 4 it was around 14 hours to get fishhooks going again. I then spent a day at level 4, went to level 5 and cashed in all my hooks, ended with over a million, and was unable to progress at all at 5, with 10 hrs left in the event I just ended it. At level 5 you get 25 fishhooks in one buy (10 at level 4), so saving the hooks was very helpful. I wouldn't say it was fun, it was more stressful because there is no way to know what will happen the next level. If the manager levels were less random that would be good. I didnt' think i was going to get hooks again after level 3, it was pure luck.

The game creator comes across as greedy . If you make a good game and you make it fun I would be more than happy to tip $5 for a good game.but if you find it that you have to watch videos in order to make the gameplay go or pay real money It wasn't a good game to begin with. I'm really sorry this game came from this community that I love and is such a greedy game.
