This is because the enemies HP and Damage scale at the same rate, approximatly always 1/10th HP is thier damage. What this comp does is it uses the infinte blessed scaling and the ironhide reduction BEFORE armor to force the opponent to never be able to deal any damage, and as soon as the opponent almost deals damage, the ranger does almost no damage to them, providing time for the clerics to buff the party even more. I have literally never had my party die while using this strategy.

The problem with this build is that it takes very much time, while doing one of these you could do many pala runs. so the best is prob to alternate, first do pala runs to get high prestige in low tiers, then push for a high amount of points with a cleric run. with this strat i am currently at floor 2560 and going strong.
Keep the ratio of warrior hp and ranger damage as 10:1, you never die. The low damage keep you stay at level and receive buff multiple times.

I personally run two high armor and medium damage warriors, two rangers, and two clerics they get me into the 600's every rebirth.

Is prestige for lower layers still the better strategy even after the 1e100 upgrade?

In my late game testing it is still best to use the lower layer strategy but i do not have any knowledge on early to mid game. That being said it is far superior than it ever used to be.

im at layer 19 is that early to mid game?
Also doesnt the soft prestige upgrade promote higher layer auto prestige or is it still too slow?

That is late game. Those upgrades do help but they dont seem to make enough of a difference. I ran a 2 day test between a high and a low focus and the low focus seems to be better. There may be a tipping point where the high focus may be superior but i have not seen it

Yeah thats what i also guessed though i did not test it. But thanks. Also running a team of max damage warriors. Is that still the preferred method?

The best strategy that i have found is 1 max damage warrior and 5 paladins. In end game the points you put into the stats dont appear to make much of a difference in comparison to the stat bonuses from the armory and the multiplier from prestiging

Do the paladins even make a diffrence?
