If you open the research center via the 'mini menu' without having first accessed the available upgrades the 'long way' (clicking the black and white version of the building and opening the menu in the middle of the screen) you will not see any available research, regardless of how many points you have. My first game I was super confused, I kept opening it via the mini menu to see if anything was listed yet and got up to 100 banked upgrade points without seeing anything. I opened the big menu to look at the help and confirmed it didn't mention anything weird I had to do, but it also didn't mention at what point value upgrades started. While I had the big menu open I decided to click the upgrades button and BAM my first available upgrade costing 1 point showed up. From that point forward the mini menu worked fine.
Fast forward a little bit, I open up challenges and started one. This time I was planning on testing mini menu access and sure enough, upon unlocking research centers (and I already had mini menus) I tried the mini menu way to see upgrades. Blank screen. Went the 'long way' once, saw the initial upgrade. Opened the mini menu again,initial upgrade shows up.

Hmmm I can't seem to replicate this bug in the latest version of chrome or firefox, that means either:
1. It somehow accidentally got fixed when I was fixing up other code.
2. It is a browser version specific problem.
3. I'm just blind.
Can you see if you still have the problem, and if so tell me which browser / browser version you are using?

I had the same issue on the old version as well, but when starting a challenge on the new version i could immediately see the research things.
€dit: but getting the first point of an upgrade still doesn't immediately show the pictures of the later upgrades in that tree. i still have to close and reopen the research window for that.
But i encountered another bug (think that was still on the old version):
I first did the cultists-challenge, got the rewards, played a bit in my "main game", then started the bank-challenge. When i finished it i also got the challenge finished screen, but didn't get the bonus afterwards and on starting the mine-challenge i also didn't get the 10 free banks.

Chrome, latest version, and it seems fixed. Yay for vanishing bugs! :-P

Ok, so scratch that. Now it is just 'intermittent' but not always ONLY the first time you go into upgrades. It happened a few times last night, BUT since I had many upgrades purchased I was able to see what happened - it had slid FAR to one of the corners. But I saw one of my upgrades at the side of the screen. Well, this morning after a reset, I tried scrolling around on the screen to find it, but no dice. I went to the upgrades the 'long way' and BAM it was dead center for me to purchase.
