1) Whats the difference between Deflectors and Reflectors?
2) Is there any ingame difference between the different ship models?
3) Please explain what Capacitor and Overload do!
4) If I assign Squadrons they just bunch up on the top of the screen. Is there a way to position squadrons?

All stat have mouse-over explanation but as a quick recap: Deflectors -> Dodge, Reflectors -> Thorns damage back to attackers, Capacitator -> LifeSteal, Overload -> Critical
Ship models are only for aestethics!
Squadrons can be dragged around!

I can answer some of these. Hold your mouse over the terms you want to look at in the armory for an expanation.
1) Deflectors give a chance to reduce damage, reflectors make the enemy take damage when attacking you.
2) Have to ask the dev about that one. I don't think so though, I think the differences are in base and leveling stats.
3) Overload is crit chance, you have a chance to deal extra damage, capacitor is a health drain, as you do damage your shields go up.
4) This does need reworking, if you get them to overlap then they're locked in. Right now, make 2 ship squardons, postion them how you want by clicking and dragging, then fill them up.

My questions are: can capacitator take you above maximum shields, and how does the interaction between capacitor and reflectors work? does one work before the other, or do they work at the same time?

Squadron Drag doesn't work well. I suggest replacing the individual ships with a symbol for the formation (square,wedge,rhombus) once they are in a formation and then make the entire icon dragable.
Another question:
What does repair do, for what do i need it? Does it work during combat? ("Repair Discount" is confusing me.)

Capacitator can't take you above maximum shields.
Ship will reflect only damage they take. So no, you can't dodge and reflect :P

What the person meant if reflected damage counts towards capacitator aka reflect and leech. :P
Also no mention of dodge nor deflectors in the post so I don't know where you pull out the intention of dodge from anywhere, bwain fart much?

My band I tend to translate the various stats to thei canonic counterparts so deflectors is dodge in my head.
And no only damage taken to the shields will be reflected.
Only damage done by the shields will be leeched.

Wait, I am confused a bit here, your last 2 lines in your post both references "shields", I understand the line with the reflect in it, but I am lost at the line with "leeched", because example, since "damage taken to the shields will be reflected", does it count as "damage done by the shields" in the second line?
Because "reflected damage" = "damage done by the shields" does it count towards "leeched"?
If not then reflected damage is its own category and not affected by others like "leeched"? As in the rule "So no, you can't dodge and reflect :P" which in turns to "So no, you can't reflect and leech :P" apply here?

why is it not possible to choose a AI level ? now that im stuck at level 501, theres no way for me to grind enough money to make the upgrades to go further...all I get is 5-6k...and I need millions to make a needed upgrade for instance a ship upgrade or other useful things...in this case, i see no reason to play longer because there is no progress for weeks..., its a pity bc i like the game very much :/

I'm sorry you got caught between the fire. Tonight i was uploading the new balanced version. The player who were online didn't got the AI stage cleared so they are facing super strong AI.
The upgrade that previosly only gave +5% money per fight now give up to 1000% try refreshing the page and check it.

What does the ion beam actually do(dmg/disable engine/disable weapons)? I've been playing a lot of FTL lately, so I was under the impression that ion weapons don't do damage, but do they and do they also disable weapons or just engine?

in formations, the formations are called square wedge and rombus, but in the description it says vs rombus vs line and vs wedge.
Line is the square formation or the normal no formation deployment?

Well, the upgrade may provide 1000%, but the base value went down as well.
I was at stage ~480 or so before. A Tie got me 10K base plus 7K from upgrade. => 17K each fight.
Now due to the rebalance I am at stage 240. I get 1K base and 15K from upgrade. => 16K each fight. That means I now get less money than before.
As each valuable upgrade still costs >2M for me, I have to idle in game one day (24 hours) to buy one upgrade.
And according to the immense stat boost of the enemy, I guess I won't even pass the next stage with the next upgrade. Means I need probably an additional 10M to pass the next stage resulting in one week doing actually nothing.
I liked the faster stage progress from before more.

Well it's an Idle game and it's supposed to get slow at some point. Each battle will last an average of 30 sec.
Adding this to the 7 seconds between two fight will put your income at around 30M per day of active battles.
Also if you don't want to leave it farming there are two upgrades that increase money while offline. At your level one should give 2k/min = 3M
Another one will increase offline battles income by a nice amount!

Thoughts about your rebalancing tactics.
It seems that it might be that they are made based on the complaints of the TOP 10 describing how they are getting skunked.
Example one of your top 10 loses rank and becomes rank 150 again, because of they're obvious less than optimal layouts. Rather than tell them to deal with it, you nerf what new stat you created so that whoever was skunking them is returned to the lower caste again and your first skunkers (top 10) can resume their ranks.
That's what feels like.
Because with this last rebalance, it feels hard as balls to go up the rank ladder.
Also, I think based on this last rebalance you should reset everyone, minus w/e bonuses we actually bought from you with kongs.
That way we all start at the bottom with the new balancing engine.

I think your thoughts are coming from the new upgrade added the " X% Chance to penetrate and hit enemies behind". The upgrade was born with an extra high 50% chance that got fixed in somewhat 2 hours and reduced to 20%.
This upgrade alone was causing very high like spikes due to his effect. Moreover the decision to nerf it was because it was actually an upgrade too strong to not be used.
The game will be constantly balanced and major changes will occur each Monday with the weekly reset.
Keep in mind that the next power-ups will be made to counter enemy ships with bigger stats. (ex +50% damage when attacking a ship with more health)

Not sure if this is a bug or some strange game balancing:
I just managed to buy 5 more ships and added them to my fleet. My expectation was with more ships I should be able to win 2 ore 3 more AI levels. The opposit happend. My new fleet, that was exactly the same plus 5 ships at the back, got totaly wiped out 4 times in a row before having the first tie again. Before at least some of my ships always survieved at the botom of the screen. Can't find any logical explanation for this.
