I previously fnished in 10th in pvp, but there was some sort of serious bug that week. This week I finished in 8th in PVP, but I still don't have a ship. Both times I was online as the rankings reset. Will I ever get one of the title ships that says 8th in pvp?
(Also I can't use the super speed fast forward button that I supposedly earned)

Quite simply, it is to finish in the top 10 before the reset on a Sunday night / sometimes the early hours of Monday. ... Be aware though, 10th place is actually 11th on certain screens because there is 'zero' spot. ... Also, unless you log out and back in, the true rankings are never seen because there's no instant update. ... It's happened to me a few times, but when I have managed to finish in the top 10 the flagship is there straight away. ... Maybe there's yet another underlying issue with the game because I have only ever had 2 flagships.

I'm aware of the edge cases. It is still clearly the case that I've twice earned a ship and not received one, finishing 8th or at worst 9th the second time (causing me to write this).

I wasn't taking the piss and calling you "thick" by any means mate. ... I was in the top 10 of PVP last night and got nothing at the reset time. ... I did however manage to clutch on to 8th position against 'AI' for which my flagship was there for doing so. ... There are some serious glitches and possible 'hackings' going on within this game. ... It seems that many have complained, but are ignored. ... A bloody shame, because decent players are leaving.

I once did not get the top 10 rewards while online during the reset, while I thought I made the cut for top 10.
Since then, I've been offline on Sunday afternoons up through the reset in the evening, and have not encountered any issues (my rank is high enough that I'm still top 10 after dropping a few spots, so this works for me, but may not work for others).
As a side note, fighting a PvP battle will update the rankings displayed for you in the leaderboard. I have once experienced that I dropped in the list after winning a fight; this is why (I was online for a long time grinding AI, and clearly in the meantime my PvP rank fell).

This time I was fourth (3 in the zero based standings) with less than 20 minutes to go. Unlike the other times, I wasn't logged on at exactly the moment the reset happened, but it does seem likely I was still in the top 10 at the moment of the reset.

I wasn't online at all today until now, and I just got the flagship saying I ended #8 (yesterday I left my rank at #6, IIRC; didn't bother to raise it higher).
It's probably best to log off a few hours before reset. The reset may have functions spaced out over time to avoid a moment of large server lag, and something there is likely buggy.
Feel free to PM me once the forum gets frozen by Kong staff, I suppose.
