Because they want to discourage the casual players :(
Casual players will no longer be able to save up tokens to buy items... so casual players will get frustrated with not having enough time to collect the tokens they need, and get the tokens they saved up deleted as punishment for not playing enough.

Yes, I am not quite sure why the game would want to do something that discourages people from playing it.....the game is bad enough without chat that allows you to chat AND play, at the same time, but now....it does this....to make the game even less appealing.

Why don't you cut the cooldown time once we get through a node by half, it is the smartest thing you can do also not saving tickets is not a good choice, in a long term you will find out that it is what killed the game.

### New in-game chat is working now! Here is a quick guide to getting set-up...
***
**Firstly, replicating the original side-by-side with the game look:**
Bottom right of game screen is chat option (Speech Bubble icon added next to Arena icon) clicking on it opens chat window covering screen...

...When chat screen is open, above the white box where you would type your message is a three-bar menu icon...

...and in the menu this brings up is an option to 'pop-out'...

...which opens the chat in a new window, so you can now resize both windows and move the chat window to the side of the game screen instead of it covering the game...

...Which then has the functionality of the original Kongregate chat in that you can play as normal and still see chat.
***
**Secondly, registering an account for securing username and greater functionality:**
However before using the 'pop-out' feature (Or after but before shrinking the window to portrait mode beside the game window) it is worth doing the following: Down the right hand side you will see a list of people in the room, of which you'll be the top one (with a usename of guest########)...

...clicking on youself will open a menu...

....from this menu you have an option to add/change a nickname (Ideally to you Knogregate username or game name so friends and clan members can recognise you!) or a better option of 'Sign Up' which will firstly ask for a username (As you'd have entered as your nickname if not signing up)...

....Then an email address (I signed up about 12 hours before writing this guide and so far no spam! Just the one expected email to verfiy account)....

...Then the same screen again for password, and then a tick box and confirm you are 18+ (Or 13+ and have parental permission) This will then take you into the chat with nickname showing. Next if you click on your name in the users online panel to open the menu as at the start of this step you will see an option called 'account settings'...

...Clicking on this will open a new tab in your browser (From 'Minnit' the third party who are powering the chat that Dead Land: Survival are using) and scrolling down a bit will give you the option to verify the email address you used...

...Once you have done this (It is a simple click of a button on the email you recieve, and as I said earlier the only email I recieved from them so doesn't look like there is a risk of spam!) your account is eligible for a status upgrade. Immediately upon doing so more functionality within the chat is opened up (Private messaging friends | GIFs | etc.) and with a verifed account you can also be tagged as a 'regular' which opens yet more functionality. (Plus if the people who are playing the game are all registered it will be easier for the people moderating the room to kick out spam-bots etc. if they become a problem)
Finally if you click on yourself again in the list on the right and this time go down to 'Chat Preferences' you will get a few options to customise chat experience...

...Then simply 'pop-out' the chat and you can recreate the look of the original Kongregate chat, but with added chat features! Like links working as clickable links rather than needing copy/paste-ing, and the ability to add images online rather than just as links.
All in all, given the short notice and the urgency of getting something working, I'd say great job by the Devs! :)

**Update:**
It has been pointed some people are understandably reluctant to give their email to a company they have never heard of. (Personally I used my normal one and apart from the expected confirmation email have had nothing from them) However if you do not want to use your proper one just go to https://temp-mail.org/en/ it requies no login or sign-up and will instantly generate a random single use throw-away email you can use, it appears straight away at the top of the page....

...You can now use this to sign up to Minnit chat without giving out your personal email. Keep the https://temp-mail.org/en/ page open in a different tab then go back to Minnit and click the 'Send Activiation Email' button (As explained in the set-up guide above) it only takes a few seconds to arrive, and will appear further down the screen on the temp-mail tab...

...Click on the subject "Minnit Chat - Account Activation" to open the email which will then contain the button you need to click to confirm the email and activate your account...

...This will confirm your account and you can now close the Temp-Mail tab and forget all about that email, which no longer exists anyway! Opening chat from within the game should automatically log you in as yourself, but if for any reason it doesn't or you want to access the chat via the website rather than the game at any time (Eg: If game is down and you are trying to get into chat to find out if anyone knows what is happening) to login in to minnit you will need either username or email and password (So as long as you remember your username you will never need to know what that email address again)
