Hey guys, v1.009 is coming out very soon (Tomorrow, by my conservative estimates), and there's quite a few things I intend on adding as a consquence:
**Challenge 8 possible
20 New Researches once you beat challenge 8 once! The requirement is currently set for e12,000 Mythos Shards but ofc can be changed anytime from now until update!
1 New Rune: The rune of Superior Intellect! Unlocked via new research!
Bug/Typo/Inconsistency Fixes galore
Rune Balancing, Round 1, for making the game progress smoothly.
**Shop! 20 New Upgrades, QoL/Upgrade/Misc/Cosmetic for your precious quarks!!**
Also, I'm sorry for the radio silence that has been going on in chat lately. I try to talk to the community as much as I can but I have been very busy with real-life duties and development.

Sorry for hanging you guys out to dry lately! I've been very active on discord (link above) but for those who don't like Discord or aren't able to join, here's some info on v1.010.
**There are going to be two new content unlocks, one of which is a full tab. One of them is already alluded to in challenge descriptions, but the other is not!**
Also, get ready for a new meta on idle vs active, with some more content in order to make active gameplay more intriguing and rewarding.
I also have much wanted QoL (MAX BUY!) in store, with major code revamps to allow it to happen and improve performance at the same time. IE11 support? Who knows!
The current ETA on the update isn't exactly known, because I am going to get the game approved for Virtual Goods, but it should be coming out sometime in the week. Be on the lookout for it!

Content Changes
Upgrades Tab
Worked on the row 4 reincarnation upgrades. Very expensive but also very good/important.
Removed the placeholder diamond upgrades and replaced them with the Discord Server booster upgrades. Everyone, even those who didn’t boost, can buy these for bonuses! Unlocks at challenge 7/8/9 respectively.
Achievements Tab
Added a few achievement rewards to Challenge 8 Achs.
Added 2 new rows of achievements!
All achievements now properly display something =)
Challenges Tab
The UI is now entirely revamped!
Quarks Display is now correct [Previously reincarnation challenges gave less than desired
Challenge retry settings are now directly in the challenges tab (away from settings)
Reincarnation challenges 7 and beyond no longer display (cannot be accessed) until you beat the previous one to prevent any spoiling of content.
Researches Tab
Added a short form of obtainium instead of long, enjoy.
5x16, 5x17 and 5x18 now make ants better instead of unlocking new tiers for ants.
Shop Tab
Added a confirmation toggle! You can toggle this off for your current session but it will reset each session to prevent accidental purchases.
Accidentally purchased something permanent? You can now reset (most) permanent shop upgrades with the “Shop Reset” feature! Note that this costs 15 Quarks per use so you still want to be careful!
Settings Tab
Cleaned up a couple statistics, cus why not?
Added a dedicatory page “Credits & Acknowledgements” for the people who helped develop code, art/design or boosted the server in the past or present!
Content Additions
BuyMax feature!
For Coin/Crystal/Mythos Shard producers you now autobuy up to the maximum allowed instead of 500 at a time. This increases performance and gamespeed.
Offline Progress
The old offline progress tool sucked, and in practice only encouraged people to be online all the time. The old system is scrapped entirely and now in its place is a Smart Offline Progress.
When you are offline, the game will attempt to simulate up to 800 in-game ticks.
Challenge Tab
Added challenges 9 and 10! These are incredibly hard end-game challenges that both unlock pretty cool features. Who will be the first to clear challenge 10?
Research Tab
Added 10 new researches for those who clear the first stage of challenge 9. Much more expensive, they will help you progress in new features or add cool bonuses to challenges :)
Added another 15 new researches post-challenge 10! These are for the people who somehow get through *all* of the current v1.010 content. I doubt people will get to this point.
[NEW!] Anthill Tab
Unlocking at challenge 8x1, the anthill is the next generation of production, and can boost your production to a whole new level. Grow your ant colony today! [Requires e1,200 Particles!]
Ant Sacrifice! Once you get enough ants you can sacrifice them to ant god for permanent bonuses, Obtainium, Offerings and more! Features a whole ELO system!
[NEW!] Talisman Tab
Upon completion of 9x1, Talismans can boost your runes! Featuring a more intricate crafting system and ability to “specialize” in many different builds to optimize your production in many different aspects.
Rune Tab
Added Divine Blessings! Using your talismans (or otherwise insanely high level runes) you can now get Divine Blessings for each rune. These are automatically given once you reach a certain rune level and will be lost if you ever go under the level requirement. Here are the level requirements:
Speed: 1,250+
Dupe: 1,500+
Prism: 1,000+
Thrift: 1,500+
SI: 1,000+
Note that each of these bonuses require these levels, but you will probably want to go above the requirement to get a better bonus.
Shop Tab
Added 2 new upgrades! [Consumables coming later]
Balancing
SI Obtainium bonus was nerfed for higher levels (exponential growth is slower)
Made cost growth scaling a little slower than before the update, but it’s not hugely differential for anyone at the moment.
Tax reduction from Dupe and Thrift runes are now capped at -99.9% and -99% respectively.
Optimizations
Obtainium/sec is now a dynamic measurement which updates every tick
HTML Formatting is done far less often than before, and doesn’t happen for things done automatically e.g. auto reincarnations
BuyMax reduces the strain by almost 99% for start-of-reset climbs.
Certain HTML only updates when it has to instead of on a fixed interval
Rune levels are now always consistent and are calculated whenever something affects it.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an error with R. challenges not leaving instantly when you finish the maximum completions
Fixed being able to spend offerings on runes which are already maxxed out
Fixed achievement display issues, especially after importing
Fixed certain errors with the game not autoresearching correctly
Fixed autobuyers being displayed for reset tiers if you are in a challenge that forbids that reset tier.
Fixed some wrong calculations of tax

Upon entering the new update the affected researches will be refunded according to old prices.
Balances
Ant ELO Changes
After 3,500 ELO, you will undergo a diminishing return on your sacrifice gains for ants. This will cause a decrease mostly for end-game players but it should help balance out game speed between blessings and 10x3.
“Effective ELO” will now display if ELO > 3500 and is calculated as such:
100% of first 3,500 ELO +
50% of next 500 ELO +
40% of next 2,000 ELO +
30% of next 4,000 ELO +
20% of additional ELO
Example: If you had 6,000 ELO, your effective ELO becomes 3500 + 0.5 * 500 + 0.4 * 2000 = 4550 effective ELO.
Note that this does NOT affect required ELO to gain a particular fragment; the requirement is dependent on your raw ELO.
Ants now cost 1e800 for first t1 and scale to increase by 1e41 instead of 1e40. This is a buff until ~e50,000 particles and after that is a rough 0-2.5% nerf.
Several Researches for early game to challenge 8 players have been reduced in costs to mitigate a few walls that currently exist, while increasing prices for challenge 9-10 researches to smoothen progression to not accelerate too much.
Talisman Shard offering prices are now greatly reduced:
Green [Uncommon]: 100 → 5
Rare [Blue]: 1000 → 40
Epic [Purple]: 10,000 → 400
Legendary [Orange]: 100,000 → 2,000
Mythical [Red]: 1,000,000 → 10,000
Obtainium costs are not changed.
Fortify costs now increase faster after level 120 and after level 150:
Level 121+ Fortify costs multiplied by (Level - 90)/30
Level 151+ Fortify costs multiplied by (Level - 120)/30
Fortify costs for Blue+ fragments have been overall lowered to compensate.
Enhance costs for green fragments have been cut in half!
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug with C1 affecting C10 in unintended ways
Fixed a bug with some improper handling of formatting (although i’m sure some other bug has popped up in its place)
Content Additions
Added auto sacrifice for ants! You will have to beat sadistic in order to unlock this, though…
Added toggles for buyMax for ants, because some of you guys complained about it.
